Whitaker: 'Repo Men has dark humour'

Forest Whitaker has said that there is a "dark humour" in his upcoming movie Repo Men.

The actor stars alongside Jude Law in the futuristic action thriller about a giant corporation which tracks down recipients of expensive artificial organs who have fallen back on their payments.

Whitaker told Parade: "The guy I play is testosterone-driven and the movie is full of intensity, not to mention lots of gore.

"There's also quite a bit of humour, but it's pretty dark. It's a leap to go so far out - sort of like Clockwork Orange meets Monty Python. But why not take a chance and maybe get people to laugh in some unexpected places?"

He added of his part in the film: "I'm trying to repossess Jude Law's heart and we're in some tough fights. Actually, his kung fu was very good. He was sort of new to it, but I've been into martial arts for years.

"It is sort of like being kids again, you know you got sticks, you got cattle prods and you're out there fighting guys and knocking them over. There's something fun about that."

Butler to play 'disgusting leprechaun'

Gerard Butler has revealed that he will play a horrible leprechaun in a new movie.

The Bounty Hunter star told MTV News that the sketch comedy project, written by Peter Farrelly and Charles Wessler, is "insane".

"I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine," he explained.

"I've been kidnapped by Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott so they can get their pot of gold. They don't quite realise what they've bargained for. They land themselves in a bit of trouble."

Butler added that the film will use special effects to transform him into a leprechaun.

He said: "It's funny because we're using that technology from Benjamin Button - what's the politically correct term? A little person? - and they're going to put my head onto the little person. It's very funny. It's insane."

Butler concluded: "It's for real. You have to see it to believe it."

Speaking to The Independent, the rapper explained that he will not limit himself to a music career.

"I don't think I'll retire," he said. "I think you should look forward to me going behind the scenes more. I still have a passion for music. And the music business itself has changed."

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, added that he is excited about working on his upcoming movie projects.

"For me, it's an opportunity," he said. "I wrote the screenplays. Before I Self Destruct - that was the first one I wrote and directed. I hate to say it's not my best, but it was done on a budget and that makes it not as... extravagant as some of the things you'll see from me in the future.
