Schreiber hoping for 'Wolverine' return

Liev Schreiber has admitted that he is unsure whether he will return for the Wolverine sequel.

Schreiber, who played Victor Creed/Sabretooth in the original movie, explained that he doesn't know whether or not his character appears in future instalments of the story.

OK reports that he said: "I just had dinner with [Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine,] last night and Hugh read the first draft of the script and I was really excited about it.

"It's still not clear whether or not Victor will be present in the Japan storyline. In the Japan storyline as I remember it from the Wolverine comics, Victor wasn't there. So I don't know."

However, Schreiber added that he hopes he will be able to join the movie, saying: "Of course I've got my fingers crossed because I love the character so much. To have the chance to do it again would be a lot of fun, but I'm not sure."

Filming for the Wolverine sequel is expected to begin in January 2011.

Diaz 'very happy' about Timberlake film

Cameron Diaz is reportedly excited about working with Justin Timberlake on a new film.

The couple, who used to date, have both signed up to appear in upcoming movie Bad Teacher.

A source told Fox News: "They've been apart for years, but they stayed friends and the friendship has only gotten better over time.

"Cameron loved Justin and they were always trying to come up with some project they could do together beyond Shrek. She is very happy that Bad Teacher worked out - Cameron was gunning for Justin to be in it with her and she had some influence over the choice."

The insider added: "[Diaz] has been going through ups and downs lately between films and Justin's hiring made her feel better. Cameron loves working and now she gets to go to work with someone who knows her as well as her closest friends. It's a treat and she's already laughing."

The source also dismissed claims that Timberlake's current girlfriend Jessica Biel is unhappy about the reunion.

"[Timberlake] is making it clear that he's thrilled to be working with Cam again, but that's where the line is drawn," the insider said. "Jessica says she has no reservations about the movie."

Forest Whitaker 'enjoyed violent role'

Forest Whitaker has said that he enjoyed filming Repo Men because he got to beat people up the "old-fashioned way".

The Oscar-winning actor said that he welcomed the change of pace in choosing an action film rather than a serious drama.

Whitaker told Contactmusic: "I play a guy who sells body parts in the future. But I take them back if the person doesn't pay.

"The guy I play actually loves his job and loves inflicting pain. For me, it was fun because this is a big action movie, but it's not guns blazing. I get to hit people the old-fashioned way instead of shooting them."

Repo Men is released on March 19 in the US and on April 23 in the UK.

Carrey: 'I don't care about Morris reaction'

Jim Carrey has admitted that he does not care about negative reactions to his controversial film I Love You Phillip Morris.

Speaking to Metro, the actor claimed that many of his friends and colleagues advised him not to take on the role of a gay conman who falls in love with his cellmate in prison.

Carrey said: "I went to them, 'Well, why else do we live? Except to do something that people haven't seen before in a film and to push the boundary a little bit? So when it snaps back it doesn't snap back quite so far'.

"I don't really care about the reaction, if there's a negative reaction. I care about doing a story about amazing, fascinating people. It's a true story about love, and someone's relentlessness to find it and keep it."

Carrey added that he wanted to sign up for Phillip Morris immediately after reading the script because his character Steven Russell was "already realised" on the page.

'Kick-Ass' will 'mimic' superhero films

Scenes in Kick-Ass will duplicate those in popular comic book features, according to director Matthew Vaughn

He confirmed to ScifiWire that some memorable moments from the picture were attempted shot-for-shot.

"Spider-Man we tried to do shot-by-shot, but we couldn't afford to put a crane up there," Vaughn said.

The helmer also borrowed from sci-fi projects like the Star Wars trilogy.

"Literally every scene we were taking things from movies we'd seen before. The Mist-mobile is literally from the Tim Burton Batman. The jetpack is actually meant to be the X-wing fighter shooting the Death Star," he added.

"Brian K. Vaughan, who does Runaways, is a good pal of mine, and Mike Mignola is a guy that we've known for years. It was funny, in that comic store, all the books that were up front were all the people we like, and all the guys we hate, we put them in the back."
