Murray confirms 'Ghostbusters 3' plotline

Bill Murray has confirmed that he will appear as a ghost in the forthcoming Ghostbusters sequel.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the comic actor revealed that killing off his character Peter Venkman was his own suggestion.

"I'll come back in Ghostbusters 3 only if I get to be a ghost," Murray commented. "I said to them, 'I'll do it if you kill me off in the first reel'. So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film."

Discussing his thoughts on the big budget comedy franchise, Murray said that he disliked the second Ghostbusters because it was too driven by spectacle.

"The first 45 minutes of the original Ghostbusters is some of the funniest stuff ever made," he remarked. "The second one was disappointing, because the special effects guys took over. I had something like two scenes - and they're the only funny ones in the movie."

Jeff Bridges: 'Iron Man had no script'

Jeff Bridges has claimed that Iron Man had little in the way of a script when he joined the project.

The comic book adaptation went through a number of extensive redrafts before shooting, with much of the movie reportedly written or improvised during filming.

Bridges, who played Obadiah Stan in the 2008 picture, told The Times: "The crew would be in the studio, tapping their feet for us to get out of the trailer. We were in there for two or three hours, writing the scene for the day, man.

"I mean, come on. You'd think for a $200m movie, they'd have their s**t together. If I don't have any lines, then who am I? It was very, very frustrating."

He added: "Then I made this little inner adjustment that said, 'Hey, man. You're making a $200m student film. Just relax. We're fine. We're playing. We're messing around'.

"Nothing changed. But all of a sudden, I started laughing and going, 'Okay, I play your part, you play my part'. The crew would knock on the door - 'Are you ready?'. 'We'll be out in a little bit'.

"It turned out great. That's just it. You have to dance the dance that's in play."

Lead actor Robert Downey Jr. has reportedly worked on the script to follow-up Iron Man 2.

Quentin Tarantino: 'I am here to stay'

Quentin Tarantino has said that his ongoing success in the movie industry has proved his ability.

The director's Inglourious Basterds received eight Oscar nominations, including the 'Best Picture', 'Best Screenplay' and 'Best Director' prizes.

The nods are the first for any of his films since Robert Forster's unsuccessful nomination for 'Best Supporting Actor' for 1997's Jackie Brown.

Tarantino said: "I am simply very proud that Inglourious Basterds has been so well received.

"It's like this. I was always talked about for my first two films like I was some sort of flash in the pan. But then I went from flavour of the month, to flavour of the year, to flavour of the decade.

"Now, at the end of two decades in the business, well maybe I'm not the flavour of anything. I am here to stay."

However, Tarantino reiterated his plans to retire at 60 and become a "film critic and just become a man of letters".

He added: "I don't want to make old geriatric colostomy bag movies. I want to make hard-d**k movies and I want them all to come from the same place as Reservoir Dogs; from the same artist, from the same man."
