Weaver reveals 'Ghostbusters 3' spoilers

Sigourney Weaver has revealed spoilers about the storyline for Ghostbusters 3.

Speaking to Channel 4 News ahead of her new film Avatar's release, the actress, who appeared as Dana Barrett in the first two movies, confirmed that her character's son Oscar and Bill Murray's Peter Venckman will play key parts in the sequel.

"I'm afraid to say [Ghostbusters 3] is happening, I hope people are excited about that," she said. "I don't know if I'm going to be in it, I have had a couple of calls asking, 'Would you read the script?' I know that my little son Oscar - who was kidnapped from me [in Ghostbusters 2] - I think he has grown up to be a Ghostbuster."

Weaver confessed that she is unlikely to have a big role in the third movie, adding: "I might be in it; I see nothing wrong with being in it, although I don't think I will have a big part. I think Bill Murray has a little more to do with it - he's a ghost."

Law: 'I always wanted to act with Downey Jr'

Jude Law has revealed that he accepted a role in the film Sherlock Holmes because he had always wanted to work with Robert Downey Jr.

Law told The Daily Telegraph: "I met Robert Downey Jr and wanted to work with him and so I said I'd do Sherlock Holmes. Two days later I thought, 'What am I doing? This is insane, because is it really what I want to do?'

"Luckily, it evolved into a wonderful experience."

The 36-year-old also said that he believed Ritchie was the perfect choice to direct the film.

He added: "I thought it was a clever twist to take a man known for his modern, punchy, almost street films and apply to him the almost staid legacy."

Wahlberg: 'Lovely Bones role was difficult'

Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he found his latest film role to be emotionally challenging.

The Oscar-nominated actor, who plays a man whose daughter is brutally murdered in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones, has insisted that he almost turned down the role because he had a baby on the way in real life.

The 38-year-old told MTV: "The stress level, and me being an emotional wreck day in and day out as I have to put myself in that place to be able to convey the emotions in an honest way - that was the one reason why I didn't want to do it."

Despite the heavy subject matter, Wahlberg accepted the role because of director Jackson and the film's "uplifting" ending.

He added: "There were many other reasons why I did want to do it. Working with Peter was probably the biggest, and thinking ultimately that it was going to be a great film that did have a very hopeful and very uplifting ending to a tragic beginning."

The Lovely Bones arrives in US cinemas on January 15 and in the UK on January 29.

James Cameron 'deserved his reputation'

James Cameron has admitted that he can be difficult to work with.

However, the Avatar director explained that he is calmer than he used to be after starting a family, describing it as a "great stabilising influence".

In an interview with The Sun, he said: "My reputation probably was deserved at one point. I don't think there is anybody who has worked with me, even now, who would describe me as mellow. But I do tend to work with the same people over and over. They're either the dumbest, most masochistic people or there is a lot of exaggeration going on."

Cameron also said that he is proud of his work on Avatar, which saw him design a smaller 3D camera.

"We all deeply care that Avatar is well received," he explained. "But even if it isn't, I don't think we will have wasted four years of work."

Avatar opens worldwide on December 17.

Alec Baldwin 'left orange after tanning'

Alec Baldwin has admitted that he turned orange after a spray tan for his latest film role.

The Emmy-winning actor has said that a tanning procedure for a scene in his new movie It's Complicated left him with an unflattering glowing complexion, STV reports.

Baldwin said: "I was a little orange? You know I'm not a spray tan guy. The character is a spray tan guy. He knew he was taking his clothes off for his woman, and he thought, 'Why don't I spray tan?'"

The 51-year-old also revealed that he enjoyed working on the romantic comedy with Meryl Streep but would like an opportunity to film an action movie in the near future.

He added: "I want to do a 300 movie. I want to shoot the HGH [human growth hormone] injections and be hiking up the hill, do the whole 300 thing.

"I really think I do want to do one movie to correct the image of this movie."

It's Complicated arrives in US cinemas on December 25 and in the UK on January 8.

Downey Jr: 'Law was a perfect match'

Robert Downey Jr has revealed that he persuaded Jude Law to sign up for the movie Sherlock Holmes.

The Iron Man star, who plays the titular detective in the Guy Ritchie-directed film, has insisted that his first choice to play his partner-in-crime was always Law.

The 44-year-old told Rotten Tomatoes: "We were pursuing Jude, and understandably he was cautiously optimistic. I had a feeling it was kind of a perfect match as all of the females on my team all of a sudden needed to be in the hallway for no reason when he was coming up in the elevator.

"I knew it was going to work out because two seconds after we started sitting down and having a coffee, we were already talking like we were shaping and workshopping everything and anything that was possible with these guys."

Downey Jr also admitted that he was lobbying for Law to land the role of Dr Watson to help him "share the load".

He added: "That, to me, was the whole point. The realisation I had was that Holmes and Watson were the first action duo, I thought, 'Wow, this really is a two-hander'.

"While the script had the relationship there... maybe it was, partially, to share the load, or take off the pressure, but I think more so because it was my first instinct, I said, 'Well, this is a movie about two guys'."

Sherlock Holmes arrives in US cinemas on December 25 and in the UK on December 26.

Wahlberg talks possible 'Entourage' movie

Mark Wahlberg has revealed more details on his plans to turn Entourage into a movie.

The executive producer, who recently hinted that a movie could be in the works, has insisted that the HBO television series will most likely transition to the big screen "after a couple more seasons", STV reports.

Wahlberg said: "Quite possibly, yes. We still have a couple more seasons to do, but yeah. We'd like to follow in the Sex And The City footsteps and do a movie.

"People have always complained that the episodes are too short. And that the seasons aren't long enough, and they want more."

The 38-year-old claimed that he has been forbidden to suggest possible storylines.

He added: "I can't tell you which storylines we'd leave unresolved. I'm sworn to secrecy. There are so many different directions to go."

Cameron 'has story for 'Avatar' sequels'

James Cameron has revealed that he already has storylines worked out for two more Avatar movies.

Speaking at the sci-fi film's UK press conference, the director said that making sequels to the upcoming blockbuster will be less costly and time-consuming because much of the design for the story's setting, the alien planet Pandora, was completed for the first movie.

"When I pitched it to Fox, they said, 'We've spent a lot of money creating all these assets, all these CG mountains, plants, trees, leaves, flowers, bugs'. Everything you saw up there on screen had been made by people at workstations over a period of years and so they have value," Cameron explained.

"So in terms of the pitch it was, 'Okay, you've spent a lot of money on the first one, on the second one we'll be able to amortise it and focus on the story and all that...' and they bought that."

Avatar opens in cinemas on Thursday.

Cameron "relieved" to release 'Avatar'

James Cameron has said that he is "relieved" to finally release Avatar after working on the film for more than a decade.

The filmmaker, who conceived the story of humans attempting to displace the indigenous population of an alien planet in the '90s, told journalists at the movie's UK press conference that it was only just completed in time for release.

"[I'm] so relieved. We can hold our heads high. We got the picture done on time by the skin of our teeth," he said. "It's been a four and a half year process. We're pulling the cover back to show the world.

"It's a huge relief to let people see it and stop talking about it. There's a huge buzz about this thing so now we can put the rumours to bed and actually deal with the movie itself."

Blunt left numb filming 'Victoria'

Emily Blunt has revealed that her body was left numb during filming for The Young Victoria.

The award-winning actress, who played the former British queen in the film, said that the corsets she wore were so tight that she couldn't feel her body.

"I learned how to survive when they lace you tight. It takes getting used to. You must inhale so your rib cage expands. This way, after you're all done up you can have room to breathe," Blunt told the New York Post.

"After a day's shooting, I'd instantly put on sweat pants. I needed something comfy. I needed to feel my inner organs working again!

"We wore flats under those huge, voluminous gowns, which, in fact, they actually did in the early period. They wore ballet boots."

Pattinson, Stewart 'keystones of Twilight'

Kellan Lutz has reportedly suggested that co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are the "keystones" behind the success of The Twilight Saga.

The actor, who plays Emmett Cullen, told Zap 2 It that he believes the duo's on-screen chemistry is a large factor in the franchise's popularity.

"The rest of us, we could suck probably. It's Rob and Kristen who have the amazing chemistry," he explained.

"Without those two keystones, Twilight could have flopped. It really could have."

Lutz also reportedly added that he would love Breaking Dawn, the fourth instalment in the series, to be split into two films.

"They haven't told the rest of us actors yet. I have read that they are talking to Rob, Taylor [Lautner] and Kristen to negotiate to make Dawn into two movies. I'd love for it to be two films."

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is in cinemas now.
