Freeman: 'Nolan to return to Batman'

Morgan Freeman has said that he believes Christopher Nolan will return to the Batman film franchise to helm the follow-up to The Dark Knight.

Nolan is currently working on action thriller Inception, which is slated for release next summer. It is unclear whether the director will revisit the Batman series when his current project wraps up, but Freeman is confident of his return.

"I know - I just know - that Chris is working on number three," he told MTV. "He couldn't possibly not be."

The actor went on to say that his character Lucius Fox and Michael Caine's Alfred are likely to appear in any future Batman films.

"What I don't know is how that story is going to play out - where it's going to be and who's going to be in it," he explained. "There's a good chance he would incorporate Lucius Fox and Alfred."

He also revealed that Catwoman is his first choice as the film's antagonist. "I want to see Catwoman," he added. "I have [a casting] idea, but it's just an idea and I'm going to keep it to myself."

Freeman's latest movie Invictus arrives in UK cinemas in February 2010.

Kevin Smith's cop comedy changes name

Director Kevin Smith's forthcoming buddy-cop movie A Couple of Dicks has changed its name.

Also previously called A Couple of Cops, the film reportedly altered its moniker in order to satisfy all parties involved with the project.

"The movie formerly known as A Couple of Dicks has finally settled on a (network policy-dictated) replacement title!" Smith announced yesterday on his Twitter.

"While we'll always have Dicks in our hearts, the title we just now locked makes me smile on a bunch of different levels - including this: (1) we can now advertise our movie properly (and ironically). And said marketing begins… on every print of Sherlock Holmes, Christmas Day."

When one of his Twitter followers asked why he would not reveal the new title, Smith responded: "That kinda thing's above my pay grade, sir. WB will announce in a day or two."

The film, which stars Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan and Sean William Scott, is to be released in the US on February 28.

Felton 'hasn't heard about Potter nudity'

Harry Potter star Tom Felton has claimed that he has not heard anything about nudity being featured in the final wizarding movie.

Reports had suggested that co-star Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) would appear naked in one scene that featured his character embracing a woman.

However, Felton (Draco Malfoy) appeared to dismiss the suggestion in a recent interview with E! Online's Marc Malkin.

"I read that the other day, and I was like, 'What the hell is that about?' I haven't seen Dan walking around naked - not on the set anyway," he said.

"The changing room is a different thing - I'm joking! No, I hadn't heard anything of it. Dan hasn't mentioned it."

A representative for Radcliffe has also previously denied the nudity rumours.

"The books were successful, but there are plenty of precedents to say books can be successful and films aren't."

He added: "Then it took off and became the biggest film franchise in film history. You see it for what it is - it's a phenomenon."

Tucci: 'Filming 'Lovely Bones' was tough'

Stanley Tucci has said that he found it hard to play serial killer George Harvey in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones.

The actor told Parade that as a father he usually cannot watch or read anything where children are victims.

Tucci said of working with Saoirse Ronan: "Fortunately, the actual rape and murder of her character is implied or I don't think I could have done it. But, the scenes where I'm sort of seducing Saoirse were tough enough.

"I apologised after practically every take or just said, 'Are you okay? Are you all right, are you okay?'. And she did the same thing to me. She's a very mature young lady."

He added: "There's no doubt though that this was the most difficult thing as an actor I've ever done. I would drop him when I went home because I needed to be with my family and I didn't want to put them through that.

"At the end of the day, I did look forward to going into the makeup trailer and having a martini. Actually, I considered having one at the beginning of the day too."

Howard won't appear in 'Spider-Man 4'?

Bryce Dallas Howard has said that she has not been asked to appear in Spider-Man 4.

The Terminator Salvation star played Gwen Stacey in 2007's Spider-Man 3. Speaking to Crave, Howard revealed that she is yet to discuss reprising the role for the fourth instalment of the superhero franchise.

"I don't know. I mean, it was really made clear to me when we all did Spider-Man 3 that it was entirely possible that a character could come back or a character could not and this could be just a specific plotline to that film, because there's so many stories in the comic book series and you want to pack as much in as possible," she said.

The actress added: "It's truly up to Sam [Raimi], you know, [and] the writers and the people who have done such an amazing job protecting that franchise and choosing the best storylines for audiences... I'm a fan first."

The song 'The Climb' was nominated for its appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie. However, the nod was later revoked when the nominating panel discovered that it was not originally penned for the film.

'The Climb' was written by Jon Mabe and Jessi Alexander, who shopped the song around to a number of country music artists before it landed in Cyrus's movie, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The official nomination has now gone to the entry with the next highest number of votes, 'All Is Love' by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, written for Where the Wild Things Are.

The recent documentary Man On Wire also shed light on Petit's illegal high-wire act.

Daniel Day-Lewis: "I'm not picky"

Daniel Day-Lewis has denied that he is picky about which film projects he chooses.

The actor told The Guardian that he had to think for a long time before agreeing to star in Nine.

Day-Lewis said: "It wasn't a convenient time for me to go back to work. I'm not picky, quite honestly. It's simply that I recognise pretty quickly the stuff that I don't like.

"And I also recognise the impulse that is dragging me towards a piece of work. And perhaps as you get older, that impulse comes less often."

He added: ""In all fields of creativity you see the result of work that has become habit. Where the creative impulse has become flaccid or has died out altogether, and yet because it is our work and our life we continue to do it."

"I made a personal pledge that I wouldn't work unless I needed to. And you're right, that's a tremendous privilege.

"But I've always thought that if was a question of paying bills, simple as that, then I would much rather do any work than this."

'Alan Partridge' movie to be shot in US

Steve Coogan has revealed that the Alan Partridge movie will take his hapless chatshow host to America.

Speaking to Empire, Coogan said that an official announcement on the movie will be made in "the next couple of months".

"We're doing it in the States, but I'm not going to try and Americanise it," said Coogan. "I wouldn't try to do the same observational stuff here that I do in Britain. I'm not going to come over here and go, 'Right, now I'm going to try and invent five different characters who are all American,' because I'm not steeped in American culture. It wouldn't work.

"I'm so ingrained in British culture that for me to observe the minutiae of being British in all its different ways is very easy. I couldn't claim to do that here, and if I did they'd end up being caricatures. It'll be a British fool/idiot character in a movie that should appeal to everybody."

Coogan co-writes the Partridge character with Peter Baynham, Patrick Marber and Armando Iannucci.

Colin Firth 'likes idea of Bridget Jones 3'

Colin Firth has reportedly claimed that he likes the idea of filming a third Bridget Jones movie.

The actor starred as Bridget's (Renee Zellwegger) love interest Mark Darcy in the original film and its sequel, based on the novels by Helen Fielding.

Recent reports have suggested that Working Title is considering a third instalment, possibly inspired by Fielding's newspaper columns.

Speaking to Moviefone, he said: "I only know what you know. That might not be believable to you, but I honestly don't know. I'm not in regular touch with the Working Title people.

"I don't see why not! I think it would be well worth having a go. I like the idea in some ways now because I think enough time has gone by, we're not just sort of trailing the other two. We've all grown a little older, I think there's more fun to be had with that. I'm not adverse to the idea."

When asked if he would return, he replied: "Yeah, it depends. Good script - yes. Bad script - no."

Zellweger played down speculation about the film earlier this year, insisting that she had not heard anything about a third project.

Portman signs for 'Pride, Prejudice & Zombies'

Natalie Portman will lead the cast of Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, a horror reworking of Jane Austen's classic novel.

The movie is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's book of the same name, which unleashes a flesh-eating zombie virus on Austen's characters. Portman will produce and play the zombie-slaying Elizabeth Bennet, reports Variety.

"Natalie and I are longtime passionate fans of Jane Austen's books and this a fresh, fun and thought-provoking way to approach her work," said Portman's producing partner Annette Savitch. "The idea of zombies running rampant in 19th century England may sound odd, but it lends a modern sense of urgency to a well known love story."

Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko, The Box) is also onboard to produce the movie.

Emily Blunt: 'Fergie made us tea on set'

Emily Blunt has said that she had a lot of fun working with Sarah Ferguson when she played the title role in The Young Victoria.

Ferguson co-produced the film with Martin Scorsese and Graham King, with the movie exploring the formative years of the English Queen.

Blunt told Parade: "Sarah Ferguson was one of the producers. She may be the Duchess of York, but she doesn't really give you any reason to feel nervous.

"I mean, she's like, 'Call me Fergie'. She's honestly the kind of person you would want to go and have a drink with. She's really a lot of fun.

"Fergie was the one who could pull strings to get us into royal locations, so she was vital to the whole look of the film.

"But, she said, 'What the hell do I know about making films? I'll pop in and make tea now and then'. And she did. She came in and served tea."
