Ok, Slade went most likely to the phantom zone, yes the original was destroyed, maybe this was built by the fortress    Like Slade's last words, where he referenced  that he was "beyond death's stroke"  As the comic book, Slade is called Deathstroke

Don't see how the Chloe flashback was strange, as the little notes she has been sending people since she disappeared, and they had footage of her from an episode that fit right in.  She is suppose to be in 3 or 4 episodes this season.

I wonder if they are gonna get the real actors to play Impulse, john Jones, Aquaman, cyborg and Zatanna for the next episode.

Though what happened to the others?  There were at least 6 more superheroes at the funeral, and Dinah mentioned in the VR, A.C (Aquaman) like she had seen him there.  But none of them were mentioned again or seen, not even with stand-ins they used in the last episodes.

But they could have mentioned them, like Chloe saying we got everyone else out and they went somewhere...

I disagree, it's a plot hole, and writers think that we are idiots, that as long as they focus on the main characters, we won't notice it.  It is a major insult for intelligent viewers, and Smallville has been riddled with them from the beginning (dropped plots, no explanation of things happening, and many more)

One line would have been all it took to resolve that.

Also what did they knock them out with? as Clark Kent does not need to breath really (as Superman he travels through space, underwater, and so on, the martian manhunter also has high immunities and is able to breath various atmospheres, both of them along with Cyborg have tremendous resistance to mental attacks.  Same goes for putting needles and such into him (as we see Chloe doing in the flashback)

If I was almost  indestructible and was knocked unconscious, I would be very worried and try to find out what happened.

Yea might have burned down, but that isn't the end of the Luthors.  Liked all the people talking about the blur.  And Clark talking about donning the suit and also using the wimpy Clark

Not as much anymore as when the original Lex was alive.  Now we have just moments there

Don't think they will do a movie, it's going to be hard as it is for Tom Welling to not be typecast as it is.  As it is, they have enough Superman movies.

Other than Clark ready to don the clumsy CK persona, and Ollie getting the mark, this episode was kinda dull.  Was nice to get back to Darkseid, though the whole "battle" was too simple

Unlike you all, I liked this episode, yes it didn't carry along the story of DarkSeid or the Vigilante, but it was fun, seeing Emil doing a Elvis impersonation with his go-go girl duet with Tess.  Ollie in his showgirl outfit and he was having fun with it.  And Clark waking up with a Lemar on him.  And we had references to Batman and Wonder Woman, who throw Clark through a "loop"  And the whole video of the evening.  And it was a perfect way to get Ollie to get back to Star City (which in the comics is his base of operations.)

In the comics it makes sense, because in most of them Jonathan is still alive.  It kind of makes sense that he might want to sell it, it's not like they make a lot of money.

They both have been in both series and Booseter teamed up with the second Blue beetle (Ted Kord, yes the owner of the company in the episode)  In the comics he was the 2nd Blue Beetle and teamed with Booster Gold for the Justice League.  And then years later he teamed up with the 3rd Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, the teenager here, to help Batman.

Have to remember that Smallville plays fast and loose with it's heroes, basing them off the comics but straying sometime far afield.  

Like Clark getting into Bumbling Clark and in typical Smallville fashion, within days everyone will forget the strong, demanding, high school football star Clark and only remember him as the clumsy Clark.

Didn't really care for this episode too much, it didn't really carry the plot forward, except showing that so far Oliver hasn't succumbed to Darkseid yet.

That was shocking, also a lot of mention and somewhat seen of various villians in this episode.  Well 1 more week and 2 episodes and it will all be over.

Well not 10 years, started watching Smallville when it was airing about season 5 or 6, and felt that they should be ending around then.  it was about 8 for sure that I really wanted it to end.

arksongbird - all of your points are extremely valuable and true, it was nice that Ollie carries 2 collapsible bows

so in two hours, we have to see CK don the suit, fly, make-up with Lois, defeat darkseid, oh yea and Lex is coming back, plus the Ollie storyline, has he gonna completely darkside?  Anything else?

I think I read that Martha will be there, along with Johnathon (3 appearances in 1 season)  Lana is a no, and I think they had forgotten completely about Pete, Chloe will be in it
