When idealistic attorney Nick George's (Peter Krause) father dies, he ends up taking his father's clients, the Darlings, led by patriarch Tripp (Donald Sutherland). It's not always easy for Nick handling both legal and sometimes illegal matters.

Some people say money is the root of all evil. They may be right. Nick George's whole life has been lived in the shadow of the Darling family, but as an adult he's leading the perfect life as an idealistic lawyer, until his father's suspicious death. The absurdly wealthy Darlings of New York have asked him to take over his father's job as their personal lawyer, but the money that will allow him the freedom to be an altruistic do-gooder is only part of the picture. That same money pulls him into the dubious doings of the Darling clan. Power, privilege and family money are a volatile cocktail

The hour-long pilot was penned by Craig Wright and will be executive produced by Wright, Bryan Singer, and Greg Berlanti. The pilot is produced by ABC Television Studio in association with Berlanti Television.

This was interesting episode it just get more good story-line  i love how they lead to situation on the boat . i can't wait see how that situation developed

Just updated today ,it was OK episode we didn't know the history between Nick and his mother and it's difficult if you haven't seen her 20 years and she find out she has grandchildren. i can't believe nick is being manipulated by Lathia darling. .

Wow this was slightly better episode that kid ring nick was funny. Ellen death bite Patrick in the back some how but chuck had pay him off-i saw coming money rules people unfounatly . Simon asked Karen to marry her and it's game to take over Darling business .

Lisa getting involved Jeremy in the art gallery. if she hates Darling name she shouldn't drop-name to get the gallery.   . Jeremy tell her to lie to Nick is going back-fire somehow . The heart-attack was a surprise .
