Hello, Since the new year of 2012, the capacity of our US server has been squeezed to its limit. So members may experience slow connection, low time buffering or other erros when using US server. I suggest members switch to our EU server if you can not use our streaming service. Our EU server still has quite enough capacity. And we are preparing new US server with double capacity of current US server. It's estimated that our new server will be available one month later due to huge data transfer. And if you lost poins, please send me a PM and I am happy to refund your lost points. Updated on 14th Feb. : Our new US has been put on duty since last week. Our members in north America are welcome to try our new more powerful US server.

Thanks for the information. I'm a little confused though. The "stream not found" error message so many are experiencing on the US server does not appear to be connected with the high traffic issue. Show episodes loaded around 2.5 weeks ago can still be played on the US server without error message or streaming delay. Just my opinion, but it looks as if traffic is not the issue for the "stream not found" message. Perhaps it's to do with how these shows in the last two weeks or so have been loaded? Just a thought...
Author: codebreaker    Time: 1-24-2012 03:12     Subject: Reply 4#4 gdi3's post

I would of though the steaming not found was on the individual episode, for argument sake the episode loaded 2.5 weeks ago may have 10 to 20 people watching them at one time but episodes loaded this morning may have 100 or more because, i don't have a problem with old show but i do with the new episodes and i was even more surprised that one of the new free shows got past the streaming not found by using chrome instead of firefox [ Last edited by codebreaker at 1-24-2012 11:51 ]

Hello, Our source server distributes latest updates to EU and US server respectively. This progress usually takes minutes or hours. Now this progress may need days to complete on US server. So stream not found errors on some latest updates basically resullt from high volume traffic on US server.

"So stream not found errors on some latest updates basically resullt from high volume traffic on US server." Thanks lbjedward. Maybe I'm not being clear, sorry. It's not just the latest shows with stream not found but also shows uploaded to site about 2.5 weeks ago. They still have stream not found message on the US server even if I try to play them today. However shows loaded before 2.5 weeks ago are okay on the US server. This is why I can't understand that the stream not found message is related to traffic. Anyway, hope you had a good holiday.

The explanation for that is likely (NOT definitively) there are fewer people trying to watch an episode several weeks old, so the traffic on that episode is lower, thus enabling you to get a connection more easily.

I've gotten that error on really old shows, like, Season 3 of Dexter.
Author: waterlilybarb    Time: 1-24-2012 12:33     Subject: Reply 10#10 debkakes's post

Yes, you can get the error on any show, no matter how old. We are running on less capacity until the other server is fully operational. People's ability to get a connection will vary. Feel free to request reimbursement via PM to lbjedward, as stated in post 1.
Author: megahag    Time: 1-24-2012 14:51

How does one ask for refund? Cause I have seen so many half episodes lately - don't feel like paying full price for them. Information telling me to contact PM doesn't really tell me anything. More directions needed.

took some time but I think I figured it out - I hope...

You should send lbjedward a PM and he will be happy to refund your lost points but you should include a copy of your viewing history http://www.friendvista.com/forum ... 9334&extra=page%3D1

You must be watching on http://vip.tv-video.net/ which was suspended from updates at the end of last year and will be closed down in May so you should be watching on http://viptv.net/ which is in the process of being improved

hmmm. A whole month! You say that the European server still has a large capacity. Unfortunately, It's next to impossible to stream anything on the European server unless it's at 2 a.m. local time (8 a.m. EST). I have not been able to watch a show for 2 weeks now and am starting to get annoyed. I bought a month's worth of unlimited viewing and all I'm getting is unlimited NOT viewing Hope you can solve the problem soon!

You should send lbjedward a PM and he should be able to extend your unlimited viewing but you should include a copy of your viewing history

codebreaker is correct. LBJ will gladly compensate for the lost time. You need to request it though.

Episodes on the european server are taking forever to load. When will this be rectified? Shakeela

I have also been experiencing either "stream not found" on the US server or very very slow connections on the EU server (3 hours of buffering for a 30 min show...). Do we know when bandwith and access will become tolerable again?

As admin said in post #1 about a month with the amount of data to move but i found by using chrome instead of firefox i was able to get past streaming not found, it doesn't work for everyone but you have nothing to loose by trying
Author: shinny    Time: 1-25-2012 16:38     Subject: Tips to improve your viewing quality while we await the new US Server

1) If you get the "Stream Not Found" message refresh the page as 9/10 it will find the stream the second time. 2) During peak times we recommend that you play the show, press pause and let it load for about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way before you start watching. 3) Users have found better results with Google Chrome. Perhaps try this or switching to other Browsers. Safari works best for me. It's trial and error. These are tips only for people experiencing issues due to server capacity. If you've had previous issues and have not been able to resolve them it's more likely something to do with your flash settings, broadband capacity etc.

Thanks! I was wondering what was going on!
Author: fo_ogun1    Time: 1-28-2012 09:41     Subject: European server

I can confirm that the two servers are proving difficult and today none of the shows i attempted to view worked...and since i don't want to ask for endless refunds of pts..i think its better to wait until the problem is rectified.
Author: codebreaker    Time: 1-28-2012 09:47     Subject: Reply 26#26 fo_ogun1's post

Unfortunately with the US server being under maintenance and which is putting EU server at it's maximum so at the moment prebuffering is the best way to go until the work on the US server is finished
Author: fo_ogun1    Time: 1-28-2012 10:25     Subject: pre buffer

how does a person perform prebuffering?
Author: codebreaker    Time: 1-28-2012 10:27     Subject: Reply 28#28 fo_ogun1's post

After you hit play then pause until the red line is about 25%
Author: fo_ogun1    Time: 1-28-2012 10:41     Subject: pre buffer

ok....well the show never actually starts....it just shows a kind of moving circle in the middle of the screen but never actually starts.....but will try again. Thanks for your help.
Author: codebreaker    Time: 1-28-2012 10:45     Subject: Reply 30#30 fo_ogun1's post

Try different browser as well but use the free shows until you find which works better for you so you don't waste points
Author: waterlilybarb    Time: 1-28-2012 12:50     Subject: Reply 30#30 fo_ogun1's post

Currently, I find google chrome to get me the smoothest connection, but you may have to try several browsers to see which works best for you. If it just continues showing the circle, and does not begin loading after 30 - 60 seconds, refresh the page & try again. That generally indicates that the connection has been dropped.

Hello... I've not experienced any form of interruption nor iritatable issues with any streams the last couple of days... Today though, I noticed a Spartacus: Blood and Sand 2x01 was updated and as i tried to click on the 2nd episode image it redirected me to the following page: http://viptv.net/shows/20120128/102877/ - Bassicly a 404 error Not found page... Is this part of the same issues you've been having the last couple of days with bad US servers and trouple rebuffering, cause it doesnt strike me as one?
Author: codebreaker    Time: 1-29-2012 02:26     Subject: Reply 33#33 Seerr's post

No this is a different issue which happens a lot with new seasons and can take up to the next episode before it's fixed but that at the worst end, it usually only takes 24 hours
Author: oolia33    Time: 1-29-2012 18:57

This issue with Sparticus Blood and Sand Season 2 is happening with me too. Very frustrating as I am dying to see this episode. Hopefully you guys can get this working soon.

I sent a PM to lbjedward the same night I commented here on the forum...still no reply. Is there a trick I should know about??? Since then, I have been burned by the server so many times. Just today I have lost many hours to the server problem on viptv.net well..when my points run out, I might finally stop
