Joan seeing Gail's orphaned baby daddy get arrested was unfortunate and Patricia refusing to sign the adoption papers for her unborn baby was predictable but loosing the baby was tragic and I was starting to feel for Matron when her biological son stole from her but finding out she forged the adoption papers again was sickening

Martha wanting to see Queen Elizabeth during the 1970 royal tour was understandable with her obsession but going with Patricia to Melbourne so she could marry her Prince Charming was nice until you realised his family were obviously racist, Viv getting arrested after stealing the guys wallet was expected but trying to blame Matron after her twins were adopted was wrong

I can't believe the custody battle over Gail's baby has becomes so serious that the grandfather would have the father beaten so bad he missed the social workers appointment and what a shame Annie left the baby with him but the baby disappearing was a hell of a wake up call and being called an unfit mother was surprising but glad she got a second chance

I didn't think Patricia was ready to babysit after her still birth and Joan being willing to marry Jim to help with the baby custody was surprising as it could risk her career and no surprise the babies grandfather wouldn't let it drop

Annie being pregnant was surprising and Matron helping the grandfather of Gail's baby is sickening as he beat his daughter but what Martha's mother said was surprising considering she wanted nothing to do with her in public

I'm not surprised Joan was devastated when she discovered an infection has left her almost certainly infertile as she and Jim were planing their own before he was arrested, Maggie being determined to discover the identity of her birth mother should be interesting especially with her being pregnant

Shirley has her work cut out fighting to keep her job as wanting her to triple the takings in one night is asking too much but a weeks taking in one night was surprising and also finding out Maggie is her daughter only made things harder, Viv's twins being brought in to hospital by their adopted mother was awkward and with them moving to France she may not see them again

Patrick's estranged wife threatening to name Joan in the divorce unless he helps her have a baby was surprising and Joan trying to help Maggie was understandable as it looked like she has been abused but involving Matron in her plan to rescue the girls was devious and the suicide attempt was sad

Annie considering going to Vietnam to sing to the troops was surprising considering she's pregnant but the money would help and Annie going to see her father was a lucky but tragic with him dying while she was there, Patrick's wife changing her mind was devious as she was only using him to try and get pregnant

Viv joining Annie in Vietnam as a volunteer nurse was nice but what a wake up call with her brother missing over there and Patrick's wife becoming pregnant thanks to Joan was quick, Maggie witnessing a birth and scaring her was understandable but Jim sleeping with the nanny was a little predictable

Viv being forced to leave her orphaned nephew was a little sad after seeing his mother die in the explosion but understandable under the circumstances with him having TB, Jim doing a runner to avoid jail was predictable with him facing twelve years but him taking baby James with him was sad

Patricia thinking she was pregnant after just one mad fling with Jim was understandable but she looked sad when she wasn't and Martha's future father-in-law is a piece of work, McNaughton discovering his ex's pregnancy was bound to happen with her being treated by Joan in the same hospital

Annie putting her unborn baby's life in danger by going on those protest was selfish as they were bound to turn violent sooner or later but she was lucky they delivered the baby boy

Viv having to face a tough choice after Pete proposed to her was sad as she can be involved in her twins lives but he doesn't was another man's baby around and stopping Maggie from getting an abortion was lucky

I thought Martha's wedding was jinxed with all the things going wrong but Patty making a new dress so quickly was impressive and looks like Jim is going to be on the run forever but Joan not joining him made sense after finding out he slept with Patty and is also pregnant
