Originally developed as a racy half-hour musical comedy for Showtime,
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has been expanded to an hour (with the more graphic bits removed) for its move to The CW. The series comes from Rachel Bloom (Robot Chicken, BoJack Horseman) and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) and stars Bloom as an impulsive young woman who gives up her job at a prestigious Manhattan law firm to follow her ex-boyfriend to the decidedly unglamorous Southern California suburb of West Covina.
