About The Show:
Eccentric LAPD Detective Michael Raines uses his unique imagination to focus on every murder case in such a way that the murder victims actually begin to take shape in front of him. At first, he thinks he's losing his mind, but he then uses the constantly evolving hallucinations -- which are figments of his imagination and not ghosts -- to help him discover the victims' killers. Raines struggles to accept this peculiar gift -- or burden -- and reconcile it with his daily life.

Also prominent in Raines' life are his understanding boss, Captain Daniel Lewis; an antagonistic uniformed officer, Remi Boyer; Boyer's long-suffering partner, Officer Michelle Lance; sharp-tongued civilian employee, Carolyn Crumley; his former partner, Charlie Lincoln; and therapist, Samantha Kohl.

1. Pilot
When a teenage girl, Sandy Boudreau, is found murdered, Detective Michael Raines is called to find out who killed her. During the investigation, an uninvited visitor comes back from her grave to help him to solve her case. While working on her case, Raines is trying to figure out how to stop being tortured by his imagination.

2. Meet Juan Doe
Raines and his team have to put the pieces together when a decomposing body shows up in the Venice canals. When they finally identify the victim they find out he is an illegal immigrant and is somehow linked to a Los Angeles Councilman. Raines is sent to see a psychiatrist when the Captain thinks he's acting strange.

3. Reconstructing Alice
After an homeless woman is found murdered in an alley, Raines must investigate. Contrary to what he originally imagines, his investigation leads him into a more complicated case.

4. Stone Dead
A 20-year-old drug dealer, who aspired to be a comic book illustrator and change his life, is found dead in LA. Meanwhile, Raines is concerned about Charlie's son and is urged to bring him to Samantha since she think that she can help him.

5. The Fifth Step
The body of the wife of an old friend of Raines' is discovered. The woman, who was murdered, had an Aryan Nation insignia inscribed on her chest. When everyone thought that the case would be resolved easily, Raines discovers some disturbing lies, cover-ups and misguided good intentions inside the victim's past.

6. Inner Child
Raines hallucination will push him to a new high, when he will investigate the murder and rape of a ten-year-old girl. Meanwhile, Raines is making some progress in his therapy sessions with Dr. Kohl.

7. Closure
When the current husband of Raines' ex-wife Sarah is found dead, she has to convince Raines and Captain Lewis that it was indeed murder and not an accident. Michael not only needs to find the killer but also has some soul-searching to do.
