21 Jump Street Aired From  April 12, 1987 - April 27, 1991



About the Show:
A branch of the police department that deals with teenage crimes. They are a bunch of young looking cops working out of an abandoned chapel known as jump street. The shows original captain was Jenko, but he was killed off after 6 episodes and replaced by Adam Fuller.

The officers include Judy Hoffs (Holly Robinson), Tom Hanson (Johnny Depp), Doug Pehall (Peter Deluise), Harry Loki (Dustin Nguyen) and Dennis Booker (Richard Grieco).

21 Jump Street originally ran on the FOX network from the years 1987-1990, and then ran in syndication from 1990-1991.

Season 1



Episode 1: Pilot (1) (Apr/12/1987)
Officer Tom Hanson wasn't taken too seriously because he looked too young to be a cop. He is reassigned to Jump Street, where he meets fellow officers Penhall, Hoffs, Ioki, and Captain Jenko. His first assignment involves a High School drug dealer named Waxer.

Episode 3: America, What a Town (Apr/19/1987)
Hanson and Penhall go undercover to bust a group of High School shop kids who are stealing cars and then sell the parts. Meanwhile, Hoffs is assigned to watch over a foreign exchange student to make sure she stays out of trouble.

Episode 4: Don't Pet the Teacher (Apr/26/1987)
Hanson goes undercover to investigate a series of burglaries at a High School, and learns that the burglar and a student are both obsessed with one of the teachers that work there, Miss Chadwick.

Episode 5: My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades (May/03/1987)
After finding a girl dead in a ditch, Hanson and Penhall investigate a group of preppy rich kids who may have been involved in the murder. The girl's brother is anxious to get the truth.

Episode 6: The Worst Night of Your Life (May/10/1987)
Hoffs is sent to a Catholic School for girls to investigate a possible arsonist with all leads headed towards a rambunctious student. Meanwhile, Penhall is mugged by his date at a bowling alley.

Episode 7: Gotta Finish the Riff (May/17/1987)
After Captain Jenko is killed by a drunk driver, the Jump Street program is taken over by Captain Adam Fuller, a tough no nonsence cop. Their first assignment under his command involves stopping a gang of students who take their principal hostage at their High School after the gang leader had been humiliated.

Episode 8: Bad Influence (May/24/1987)
Hanson and Penhall are assigned to find two free wheelin' teens who vanished after a robbery. Meanwhile, Ioki and Hoffs investigate the connection between a series of robberies, and a High School prostitute.

Episode 9: Blindsided (May/31/1987)
While Hanson and Penhall are undercover, a teenage girl asks Hanson if he will kill her father for money. This becomes more entangled after finding out the father is a cop.

Episode 10: Next Generation (Jun/07/1987)
Hanson goes undercover at a High School to bust a kid who is carrying on his father's line of work, Loan shark. Problems arise when Hanson is added to the school Quiz team and must appear on tv, threatening his undercover id.

Episode 11: Low and Away (Jun/14/1987)
A high school baseball stars life is put in danger when his father agrees to testify against the mob. The Jump Street team is sent in to make sure he stays safe.

Episode 12: 16 Blown to 35 (Jun/21/1987)
Hoffs goes undercover at a modeling school to figure out who is behind the porno films many of the students have been appearing in.

Episode 13: Mean Streets and Pastel Houses (Jun/28/1987)
Hanson goes undercover as a gang member to a group of punk rockers and tries to prevent a war with the police.

Hanson and Hoffs investigate a crack ring. Hanson becomes convinced that his new partner pushed a drug dealer off a roof.

Episode 3: Besieged (2) (Oct/04/1987)
Penhall continues the investigation into his new partners past and finds more than he wanted to know. Hoffs tries to help out a crack addict.

Episode 4: Two for the Road (Oct/11/1987)
Captain Fuller gets arrested for drunk driving as the Jump Street unit is investigating a counterfeit drivers license ring.

Episode 5: After School Special (Oct/18/1987)
Hanson is unable to keep his mind on the investigation of a shooting of a teacher at an inner city school when he learns that his mother is moving in with her boyfriend.

Episode 6: Higher Education (Oct/25/1987)
Officer Ioki is implicated as the father of a desperate pregnant girl's child when in reality the father is one of her teachers. Meanwhile, the officers rush to find out the truth before Ioki gets fired.

Racial violence break out at an integrated school when word leaks out that a white student got a black student pregnant

Hanson and Penhall are bound by the military code of honor hampering their undercover investigation of a military academy where the cadets are suspected of killing homosexuals.

Episode 9: You Ought to Be in Prison (Nov/15/1987)
Hanson and a young actor he is been assigned to protect are kidnapped by an escaped murderer that Hanson had arrested earlier.

Episode 10: How Much is That Body in the Window? (Nov/22/1987)
Penhall gets close to a high school football star suspected of using steroids at a school where an Olympic hopeful gymnast died after a meet due to steroid abuse. Hanson considers becoming a big brother.

Episode 11: Christmas in Saigon (Dec/18/1987)
Internal affairs discovers Ioki is a Vietnamese refugee using an alias and faces being dismissed from the force .

Episode 12: Fear and Loathing with Russell Buckins (Dec/20/1987)
Hanson contemplates leaving the force and leaves town with an old friend instead of going to a refresher course at the police academy he and Penhall had been assigned to take after they went drag racing to try to catch a hit and run driver

Episode 13: A Big Disease with a Little Name (Feb/07/1988)
Hanson gets assigned to protect a student with AIDS who is being harassed in school. An old girlfriend of Penhall's, who walked out on him two years ago, returns and decides to move in with him.

Episode 14: Chapel of Love (Feb/14/1988)
The gang gets together on Valentines Day to tell each other about their worst dates. Hason reveals the story of his fathers death.

Episode 15: I'm OK- You Need Work (Feb/21/1988)
Hanson goes under cover in a Juvenile Drug clinic when he suspects they are mistreating the kids. Kenny Weckerly from the first episode returns.

Episode 16: Orpheus 3.3 (Feb/28/1988)
Hanson is obsessed with a tape of his girlfriends killing , thinking he could have prevented it if he acted differently.

Hanson and Penhall investigate a stolen Porsche from a local mall.

Hanson goes undercover at a high school after a disagreement over teaching evolution. He meets a young man who is believed to be a miracle boy having survived a drowning.

Hoffs goes undercover to bust a drug ring using local kids to drive the marijuana out of the town.

After a student commits suicide, Penhall becomes extremely depressed and is forced to confront a tragedy from his past.

Hoffs and Penhall are escorting a young girl ,connected to her father's murder to her home town. Little do they know that they are being pursued by her seemingly crazy newlywed husband.

Episode 22: School's Out (May/22/1988)
Summer vacation for school is right around the corner, and the odds of the Jump Street program being re-opened when school starts again are slim. Hanson is assigned to find a student who is blowing up toilets, and Fuller is fighting to get the program re-instated.

Hoffs goes undercover as a pregnant teen to investigate threats of violence being made to a family planning center by anti-abortionists.

Episode 6: Hell Week (Dec/18/1988)
Hanson and Ioki must endure hell week as fraternity pledges in order to gain the confidence and get evidence on a gang rape which occurred at a frat party.

Episode 7: The Dragon and the Angel (Jan/15/1989)
While working undercover in a Vietnamese streetgang, Ioki learns of a communist businessman who may be able to help his grandmother who is still in Vietnam.

Everyone in the Jump Street unit gets blue flu when the police force goes on strike forcing Captain Fuller to team up with a rookie cadet.

Episode 9: Swallowed Alive (Feb/05/1989)
Hanson and Penhall become inmates in a juvenile detention hall in order to investigate the murder of one of the inmates. But after Doug is relieved from the assignment, its Tom to tend to business on his own.

Dorothy and Penhall split up forcing Penhall to move in with Ioki. Hoffs becomes involved with a city inspector, who is auditing Jump Street's records.

Penhall's encounter with a bully while undercover causes the members of the Jump Street unit to reminisce about their dealings with bullies while they were in school.

Episode 12: The Dreaded Return of Russell Buckins (Feb/26/1989)
Hanson goes after an old friend who wrote an article exposing the Jump Street program causing Hanson to get suspended from duty.

Episode 13: A.W.O.L. (Mar/19/1989)
An old Army buddy comes to Fuller seeking the Jump Street unit's help in bringing in an AWOL soldier who will be classified a deserter if he doesn't return to base within two days.

Booker is laden with guilt when after he infiltrates a gang of drug users that kill one of their own whom they suspect is an undercover cop.
