Grantchester Premiered on ITV on October 06, 2014

After a parishioner dies in suspicious circumstances, investigative vicar Sidney Chambers (James Norton), knows that the story doesn't match up to what the police has claimed has happened. He soon becomes involved with local Police Chief Geordie Keating (Robson Greene) and the pair begin working alongside one another to solve crimes in the quiet village of Grantchester.

Guy and Amanda asking Sidney to perform their wedding ceremony was awkward as it looks like there is more to Sidney and Amanda's friendship,  the way Sidney acquired the fingerprints of the stranger was sneaky and the doctor being the mercy killer was surprising

Sidney saving Marion from the fire was great but her reluctance to leave was bizarre until it was revealed her husband was being blackmailed for being gay and you can understand why Geordie suspected Marion at first, Geordie arresting another gay man only made things worse as Sidney was hopping to keep it quiet but with Geordie son being seriously ill at the time you can understand him not thinking straight

So much for Sidney taking Geordie to a London jazz club to leave their worries behind them when Johnny’s sister is murdered but who the killer did surprise me, the local inspector being corrupt was a little predictable but telling him his boss will be getting a phone call was amusing

Sidney getting the girl to talk was amusing but Geordie getting shot was surprising and what an amusing distraction in the police station so Sidney could sneak in, Sidney coming clean about sleeping with the woman in London was the right thing to do but wanting to know her name was not what I expected

Sidney being arrested after her father read his teenage daughter, Abigail diary seemed to be jumping the gun until her body was discovered at a photography studio but Reverend Sam being moved before the police could get him was sickening

Geordie and Cathy trying to find Sidney a girlfriend was amusing after that bad start and walking out on the second was surprising but glade he made up for it and no wonder Geordie was warned off the case as it involved spies

Theo confessing he attacked and killed his landlord, Eric was strange as he was alive when Sidney and Geordie call on the Boarding House but the way he spoke to the woman he looked like an evil guy, Eric being run over right in-front of them was surprising but Theo was bound to be the main suspect until the wife tried to have Sidney killed by her accomplice

Reggie being convinced that Anna still haunts his home and stabls following her suicide seemed bizarre but asking Sidney to come to his estate while at the graveside of his dead wife was understandable as he wanted him perform an exorcism but the painting falling of the wall was a strange coincidence and finding him hanged was surprising

Rita refusing to give Geordie the OK to arrest her violent husband Eddie was understandable back in those times but discovering some recently stolen goods made it easy for Geordie to arrest and finding him dead in the morning didn't look good for Geordie but Rita poisoning him was karma, Gary being hung was tragic
