Bars mean money, but they also mean stress if they aren't properly run. Jon Taffer is a bar and nightclub owner who has started, flipped, or owned over 600 bars and clubs in his career and currently owns one of the most highly respected consulting firms in the bar and nightclub industry. Jon will travel around the country and employ his expertise to return struggling bars to the cash cows they once were. Everything from the science of the perfect pour, to the height of the bar stools is a key factor in making a bar the hottest place in town.

Jon Taffer attempting to class up Angels was interesting considering it looked like a strip joint like the one next door and the scantily-clad bikini bartenders didn't help but the turn around was impressive

I'm glad Downeys is not my local because that was the worst pub I've ever seen, it's a shame Dominic depression was the downfall but it's a shame the staff let it happen

I'm not surprised they was loosing money when the barmaid's were over poring up to three times the alcohol and before Jon arrived the bar and the music venue had nothing in common but running out of plates and glasses on the trial run was amusing

What a beautiful location for a bar but what a waste of space the general manager was trying to under mind everything Jon had done but the girls had a hard time in letting him go so he was demoted and she took his place

What a difference the general manager was from the last one, when things got tough he was in the kitchen helping out and the bar man that almost walked out the turn around was impressive

Jon had a hard job in getting the Mimi to listen and giving her son the general managers job was amusing but the way he stepped up to the plate was impressive

I liked that Bill was big enough to apologise after storming out but loosing money on a two million annual turnover was crazy

Giving the bar staff the run of the place was crazy especially with the amount of free drinks they were giving but another great result in saving the sports bar

I'm surprised Jon's wife didn't say something when that customer was getting over friendly and what a row with the owner about changing the name Canyon Inn to Canyon Saloon considering it's a bar and not a Inn

Considering the trouble the bar owner had with city and after the new transformation it was nice to see the city men come to the re-launch but Jon does like changing the bar names

What a crazy idea to have a pirate-themed bar in this day and age but Jon had his work cut out when she said she wasn't ashamed and considering how much debt she was in which was ridiculous and after the transformation the owner still not happy was bizarre

What a beautiful place to have a beach bar, Abbey coming back after crashing over the stress test was impressive and what an improvement the following day, the design team working through that storm was incredible

I'm not surprised Jon was angry after sending his daughter in undercover to find the cook handling raw chicken and then cooked food without washing her hands and that has to be the dirtiest kitchen ever with mouse droppings and a dead rat and then the structural damage which stopped everything which was a surprise and re-naming it Murphy’s Law was perfect considering their bad luck

It's tragic that a murder was the reason Mystique Lounge was suffering business wise and I had a felling the promoter wouldn't last long but as usual the transformation was great

Stephanie was unfortunate to have worked the two nights Jon had the booze checked but with the amount of money lost through giving away drink she was lucky to still have a job, what a great re-launch to celebrate fifty years with 1962 price's

It's a shame Billy let the kitchen hygiene go but staying al night to clean it was impressive and what a disaster the stress test was with them running out of glasses but table 6 was unlucky getting the wrong order twice, the girls competition to go to Ireland was amusing and the re-launch was great

Having just one barmaid walking out was impressive and hats of to all the other to work all night cleaning the place and firing the bar manager after 4 years was great considering he was stealing both drinks and money

Trying to help Barry save his bar was hard work with his parter Rudy giving away free drinks to his band and his wife Tracey was no better behind the bar or serving, Amber as a barmaid willing to buy Rudy out was interesting

Jon sending his daughter Samantha in undercover as his bar recon specialist was a little risky with all the guys outside and the owner opening during the day knowing the wages was more than the takings was ridiculous, the soft opening had to be one of the the worst so far
