the plot:
This romantic comedy shows us the fairy tale like world of Ned, a man who can bring dead people back to life through the power of his touch. The same touch he must use to 'kill' them after no more than a minute or another person will die.

With the help of Emerson, a local PI, Ned uses his ability to solve murder cases and cash in on any rewards. But things get complicated when a murder victim turns out to be Ned's long lost childhood crush and he decides to break the rules and let her live.

why should I watch this show?

Pushing Daisies is one of the more uplifting mystery shows, but this is more of a comedy/mystery show, combining murder into a more happier environment. One of Time Magazine's critics called Pushing Daisies one of the Top 10 New TV Series of 2007, placing it at #5. New York Magazine also compared the show with Gilmore Girls claiming it "boasts Gilmore Girls-speed wit." Pushing Daisies was nominated for 3 Golden Globes, including Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy in 2008.

Episode 1x01 - Pie-lette [Series Premiere]

Ned works in a pie store and seems to lead a perfectly normal life. This, however, is far from the truth.Through his touch, Ned wake people from the dead. He decides to use this ability of his to solve crimes. But this proves complicated when he gives life back to his childhood crush, and decides to let her keep living.

Episode 1x02 - Dummy

Ned sees his power as both a gift and a curse, and it's illustrated with flashbacks to Ned's childhood which include dissecting frogs in school.

In the present, Ned, Emerson and Chuck visit the morgue to inspect the body of a victim of a car accident. It's a 45 year-old man who specialized in automobile safety. The police are offering a reward to anyone who can find the killer, and Emerson wants answers in order to get the reward.

Episode 1x03 - The Fun in Funeral

A mysterious death at the Schatz Funeral Home sends Ned back to Couers d' Couers again. Chuck holds true to the threat she made in the pilot by baking anti-depressants into her aunt's food--in the form of Ned's pies. Olive delivers one to them and stumbles onto Chuck's secret.

Episode 1x04 - Pigeon

Emerson, Ned and Chuck are hired to prove that a pilot was murdered rather then commited suicide, but soon become involved in a case of stolen jewelry and an escaped prisoner.

Episode 1x05 - Girth

In this Halloween episode, Emerson and Olive track down "the ghost" who's been killing the jockeys at the old race arena where Olive used to race as a former jockey herself. With help from Ned and Chuck, they try to solve the big mystery.

Episode 1x06 - Bitches

Ned, Chuck, Emerson and Olive tackle a murder mystery involving a man who was murdered over a dog, and claims to have been killed by his wife. Problem is, he's a polygamist with four wives.

Episode 1x07 - Smell of Success

Ned, Emerson, and Chuck's next case involves an olfactory assistant who was killed when her scratch-'n'-sniff book combusted.

Episode 1x08 - Bitter Sweets

Emerson, Ned and Chuck investigate the death of Tony DiNapoli, who appears to have been strangled by a woman. Meanwhile, business at the Pie Hole plummets when a new candy store opens in town. Alfredo Aldarisio returns and continues to pursue an oblivious Olive who, herself, still pines for affection from the Pie Maker.

Episode 1x09 - Corpsicle [Season Finale]

Chuck learns the most shocking secret of her life and refuses to forgive Ned. In order to take the Pie Maker's mind off of Chuck, Emerson gets him to solve the mystery of a man killing life insurance agents and hiding them in snow banks. Oscar Vibenius returns to investigate why Chuck has a unique smell. Meanwhile, the Aunts' antidepressant-laced pies begin to show some hallucinogenic effects.

Emerson is hired by Dusty Fitz, whose wife Kentucky died in a tragic bee-related incident. She was involved with another man who Dusty claims she was preparing to leave, and Dusty suspects murder. Meanwhile, Lily helps Olive move to a nunnery.

Georgeann Heaps hires Emerson to find her missing daughter, and the trail leads to a circus. Meanwhile, Ned and Chuck try to deal with the change in their relationship, and Olive considers staying longer at the nunnery.

Olive calls on the Pie Maker and Emerson to solve a suspicious suicide of a fellow nun that she believes is murder. Meanwhile, Chuck tries to fill in her family tree and considers what to do in the present with her new lease on life.

A sexy new client hires Emerson to solve the murder of her best friend Joe. Emerson and the gang discover that Joe had a lot of best friends... and they all had a reason to kill Joe.

Episode 2x05 - Dim Sum Lose Some

The wife of a murdered chef, Bao Di, hires Emerson to investigate the death of her husband. So Ned, Emerson, Chuck, and Olive all go undercover at the Chinese restaurant where the murder took place. Meanwhile, Ned encounters a mysterious man who claims to have ties to his past, and Emerson is reunited with polygamist widow Simone Hundin.

Episode 2x06 - Oh Oh Oh...It's Magic

Famed magician The Great Herrmann hires Emerson Cod to come to the Conjurer's Castle to track down the killer of his animal assistants. Meanwhile, Ned makes a discovery of his own at the Castle.

Episode 2x07 - Robbing Hood

A lawyer for the late Gustav Hoffer suspects his client's death was not part of a robbery gone wrong as was reported, but rather murder. He hires Emerson Cod and Ned to find out who killed Hoffer.

Episode 2x08 - Comfort Food

Ned brings back to life Colonel Likkin, who was mysteriously deep fried to death. His world-famous original recipe has gone missing and Likkin asks Ned to find who stole it.

Episode 2x09 - The Legend of Merle McQuoddy

The Papen County Lighthouse keeper, Nora McQuoddy, is discovered dead, and her son hires Emerson to find the killer. Meanwhile, Charles Charles pays a visit.

Episode 2x10 - The Norwegians

Ned, Chuck, and Emerson finally meet their match when three rival Norwegian detectives start to get in their way.

Episode 2x11 - Window Dressed to Kill

The team take on the case of a famed window dresser Erin Embry, who may or may not have been done in by her partner. However, Ned insists he's s unable to help when he refuses to use his restoring ability. Meanwhile, Lily and Vivian receive visitors.

Episode 2x12 - Water and Power

Emerson's old flame offers a bit of quid pro quo in return for proving her innocence in the murder of the owner of the Papen County Dam, who despised Emerson. Meanwhile, Olive takes a liking to Randy Mann, the taxidermist and former client of My Best Friend, Inc.

Episode 2x13 - Kerplunk

In this series finale, one half of the rivals of the Darling Mermaid Darlings is murdered.
