Sky Living's going for giggles with new series Gates.

Schools out for summer as our brand new comedy comes to the channel this August.

The original scripted character comedy is set amongst the playground politics of the school run, showing the lighter side of school life.

When parents Mark and Helen move to the South East, they quickly begin to learn what happens when your daughter starts a new school and how easily it can take over your life - especially when your kids start to choose your friends.

With an exceptional cast including Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page, Miranda hottie Tom Ellis and The Royle Family's Sue Johnston, the series will cast an eye over how relationships are formed during those brief minutes of the daily school drop-off and pick-up.

Sarah hitting on Mark was amusing but Sarah saying she will have his milk was priceless and his wife was right about the other parents especial the convoy back to his home, the kids giving Mark a hard time with his speech was funny

Sarah and Helen fall out over a playground argument between their children was crazy but being called into the heads office was amusing and Mark getting hugs of both of them when they thought he had sorted it out was interesting but the fight was priceless

I'm not surprised Mark wanted to stop Chloe from dating but deciding to play dirty to stop her was disturbing especially when he told her he had seen Sam with other girls but Chloe dropping him in it was amusing

Chloe organising a sponsored sleep-out at the school for charity was nice but the other parents not liking the idea was amusing but Helen thinking Aiden and Sarah could be swingers was priceless

Helen complaining because Chloe is being a goody two-shoes was crazy but saying she's a yes woman was amusing but Sarah getting the wrong idea and came around uninvited was predictable but you can understand why Helen asked the questions she did, who would of thought all the parents would stay behind in protest of Chloe's teacher leaving
