Arctic Air Premieres on CBC on January 10, 2012

ARCTIC AIR is a one-hour adventure series set in the booming Arctic, about a maverick airline and the unconventional family who runs it.

On the ground, Bobby, the headstrong business partner, struggles to save the airline from crashing financially while Mel, the cantankerous co-owner, keeps his crew of pilots in the air. Caught in the crossfire is Mel's hotshot pilot daughter Krista.

Each ARCTIC AIR episode will stand alone and feature a flying mission. The pilots take on different assignments each week. Deliver cagey prospectors to a top secret diamond mining site. Rescue a group of scientists from a remote snowed-in research camp. Water bomb a raging forest fire. Escort Japanese tourists to polar bear country and make sure they come back alive. Airdrop an emergency generator to a community without heat or power. Airlift a pregnant mother and deliver her baby en route.

Over the season this character-based drama will deliver hard-hitting emotional stories - from the romantic entanglement of Bobby and Krista, to the conflicts that spark between Bobby and his competitors, his business partners and even his extended family. There's a new gold rush heating up under the permafrost, and there are new fortunes of diamonds and oil to claim.

I can see this going another year that going to make it difficult to cut down

Well this look like good Canadian drama but they really need to work on the suspense. It's not fast paced as i would like but nice show to watch when your bored.

Krista's flying skills were impressed with only one engine that was misfiring and it was nice to see her in something different than Sanctuary and you just knew there would be drama with the pregnant girl and the flight but naming the baby Melvin was nice gustier

Yes but you just knew there would something wrong with Melvin causing that guy to take over and it be interesting whether he will allow Kirsta to take over or that other guy

losing a plane but getting the contract seem like a bad thing

Bobby gambling Mel's plane in a high-stakes poker game was crazy but he should of walked away when he said and Krista's having to put her pilot skills to the test again when the DC-3 runs out of fuel is a little to much considering it's twice in two episodes

I have a feeling that's going to be a regular thing as well someone being injured on the plane.

Bobby was unfortunate to put his ex wife and son in danger when he took the hijacker to her dad's home not knowing they was there but stopping Krista from getting the gun did seem stupid and what a moron getting Bobby to fly the DC3 when he said he couldn't fly it

Three episode in and three so called emergency landings so will there be a fourth next week

It's a good job the mechanic, Kirby trusted his gut rather than the pressure gauge and Nelson was lucky to get his job back after all his screw ups but that was some walk of 1000 miles

It was about time we found what they secret package was and it's now going to be intresting to see how they protect him against him.

Arctic Air could do with a helicopter for some of the emergencies but the improvised emergencies transport was impressive and how ironic that the pills came in on their planes, saving Bobby's ass and stopping the last shipment was a risky thing to do considering what they were going to do to Bobby

Bobby finding his dads plane after all those years was nice but the faked he survived 14 days while they searched for him was sad and Cece was lucky to survive

Well that was one hell of a trip but look like Bobby was late about realise his feelings for her and i don't think it's good idea to sleep with your room-mate but his dance in morning was amusing.
