My tablet generally takes me to the mobile site but I found I can watch the desktop site by using a link in the forum as long as I don't click the home page as that takes be back to the mobile site

I recently bought a Nexus 7 and I was having the same issue as flyfisher and it would also open in Mobile version like you, sometimes. Anyway, I downloaded Dolphin Browser and Dolphin Jet Pack. I changed the settings to recognise desktop mode and not android ("user mode" in Dolphin settings is where you change) and now anytime I open VIPTV it goes straight to the desktop site and not the mobile.

I enjoy Sky Go on the tablet as the picture quality is impressive and along with their free hot spots or the ability to download and watch off line

Have you heard of mobdro? It has sky sports (free) along with movies, loads of channels etc. You can download it on www.mobdro.com directly. It's been around 6 months but I'd say once the major networks and sky get wind of it, it might be gone!!
