Suggestions That May Help Your Viewing Experience

I did all that, however I am not able to view because I keep getting the message that the connection to server has timed out. Is there any way to fix this?

Right now the US server is not working, so the EU server is being overtaxed with heavier traffic. The US server is supposed to be fixed by tomorrow, so until then just use the EU server and good luck.

For most people ff works better but for a small group of us ie works better. Just use the one that works best for you.

i try #4

4. Skip to where you last left off. If you do still get a timeout issue you do not have to wait for the episode to play all the way through to view it. You can try to figure out/judge where you were and skip ahead by clicking on the tracker and dragging it to where you judge you've left off. This will skip up onto the point you leave the tracker and start buffering and loading the episode from there on. (Sort of a FF) I'm trying this right now, correct me if i'm wrong supposedly when you are watch, there should be a transferring of data that you can see at the lower part of the page right? but when i did this step #4 i was not able to see that transferring script? is it still working or not? thank you!!

If you mean the buffering bar, you should be able to see how much of the episode has been loaded. Make sure to open your own RealPlayer as this will make your viewing much smoother and should take care of any issue re: seeing how much of your show has loaded from where you are restarting.

Hi Try closing the video clip (real Player) and re-opening it again. If the same problem persist. Try switching the server. If you are using US..use EU...vice versa. Also, the site seems to be slow at the moment. (might be heavy traffic) I'm currently watching Euerka, although, the episodes are loading they are taking a little more time to do so. any more troubles don't hesistate to ask for help

Have you tried checking your connection speed? Real player has a function that allows you to do this and to set your realplayer to the corect connection speed. try this thread http://www.friendvista.com/forum ... 1194&extra=page%3D1

help

i contacted customer service and was told to do the following : I: 23:55:09 i was wondering why every show of army wife's on the USA severs fast fwd ? I: 23:55:36 this is in season 1 No.1-Customer-Support : 23:55:50 Sorry you are experiencing problems, but let's see if we can't help you figure out what the issue might be. First please visit these two threads and try the solutions offered there. No.1-Customer-Support : 23:55:51 http://www.friendvista.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=799 No.1-Customer-Support : 23:55:52 http://www.friendvista.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1194 i went to the thread that said do this : Suggestions That May Help Your Viewing Experience Here are a few suggestions that may help you with your viewing experience by being a temporary solution to your issues. 1. Try viewing the episode from the other server. From my own experiences, I've found that since the recent updates and or upgrades to the site that lately the US server is giving a few connection/timeout errors and so (until this has been addressed) switching to view the shows on the EU server has avoided them. But I've also heard that the opposite has been working for other viewers as well. So try testing which is currently the better server for you by viewing an episode of the available Free Shows on each server. 2. If you have not been launching the video in RealPlayer after the web version window has popped up I suggest you do so. When the video first launches go the RealPlayer logo on the bottom right hand corner and select to 'Play in RealPlayer' or 'Play in RealPlayer Theater Mode'. (This seems to usually to solve time out error messages.) 3. Pausing the video to allow buffering. If having done suggestion 2 and connection pauses occur I would suggest initially pausing the video after it first loads and taking a few minutes to allow it to buffer enough that you will be able to view the episode smoothly without any communication delays. (Sort of a FF) (Note that if you have launched the video to 'Play in RealPlayer' or 'Play in RealPlayer Theater Mode' you do not have to x-out the window if timeout or connection issues occur. You can just simply click the play button and it will start to load and then buffer the episode and simple use the steps noted in suggestion 4 to FF your way through the episode. I think this might even help avoid not going against your 30 click limit of viewing a show within a 24hr time frame.) Personally, I find that a combination of these suggestions usually allows smooth viewing. I hope these suggestions help you in your overall viewing experiences as they have done for mine, and I do apologize for your inconveniences. Are you saying that the episodes of Army Wives are playing on Fast Forward (so faster) or that you want to be able to Fast Forward them?

Thanks

I have heard this may help to solve the problem

1. In RealPlayer, click the Tools menu and choose Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
2. In the Category pane under Connection, click Network Transports.
3. Select the Manually configure connection settings check box.
4. Click the RTSP Settings button.
5. Clear the top three boxes, then make sure the Attempt to use HTTP for all content check box is selected.
6. Click the PNA Settings button.
7. Clear the top three boxes, then make sure the Attempt to use HTTP for all content check box is selected.
8. Click OK twice to save your changes, then try to connect again.

or

1. Open RealPlayer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
3. In the Category pane, select Hardware.

From the Hardware window, try each of these:

- Under Playback Performance, move the slider to the left, towards Lowest CPU usage.
- Click OK twice to save the changes.
- Close out of RealPlayer, restart it, and sign back in.
- If this does not work, set Playback Performance back to its default.

- Under Sound Card Compatibility, click the Settings button.
- Move the slider bar for Playback Quality to Most reliable.
- Click OK twice to save the changes.
- Close out of RealPlayer, restart it, and sign back in.
- If this does not work, set Sound Card Compatibility back to its default.

- Under Video Card Compatibility, move the slider bar Most reliable.
- Click OK twice to save the changes.

I'd also sent hwst4 a PM to get some more details. I've investigated the times where it's fast forwarding & it's definitely not a problem on this end.

I've advise them to follow all of the trouble shooting guidelines & if that fails, to do a complete reinstall of Realplayer.

Hopefully that will solve the problem.

I also find if you have a the option on real player download video is a blue bar that shows up and lets you download the video directly on your computer.

Do that at your own risk. This site does not condone downloading, as it is a streaming site. Downloading from this site is actually illegal.
