Backstrom Premiered on FOX on January 22, 2015

Backstrom centers on Everett Backstrom (Wilson), an overweight, offensive, irascible detective, as he tries, and fails, to change his self-destructive behavior. Mamie Gummer will play the female lead Nicole Graveley, a watchful, competent police detective who is a lesbian saddened over her breakup with her longtime partner.

The prescription for Everett to make a friend was an amusing start and Nicole being charge with assault after pointing at Everett was surprising but slamming on the breaks to wake him up was priceless, nice work in getting the strippers confession on tape

The fire investigator asking for the teams help to investigate a serial arsonist was understandable as this was the first with people in the house after 16 previous fires but the police scepticism that they only asked for help to share the blame was amusing as the fire investigator was the arsonist, holding the fire-fighter on the canary murder was pushing their luck

This was an ok pilot not really special i think it tried a little too much to be house md replacement but for a cop show.

The young woman being murdered in a church was tragic but Everett taking the protesters camera was amusing and the fact the minister was sure they didn't get his prints did make him look more guilty but proving I thought was going to be tough but getting him on rape in front of everyone was great

This is very watchable series but i loved how they got him for statutory rape that was good idea from his ex i hope she a regular but i had feeling that shooting would backfire on him but great way introduce a new character in the show

Thinking the victim was a women when it was a man was amusing but class it as hate-crime to avoid testify in the police shooting enquire was a smart move but convince the other guy cover him made he scott free

A hate crime for the police's benefit but a botched robbery for the gay community was pushing his luck and keep going on about the size of the victims man-hood seemed strange

It did look like Everett was jumping the gun with the girl's resemblance to the victim of an unsolved case seven years ago but you just knew his hunch would be right and finding both girls alive was a great surprise

Yes it was a surprise both girl were alive but the fact that none of the cop notice dogs were barking were a clue as to where girls were was a surprised?
