About GCB & Episode Guides

GCB Aired From March 04, 2012 – May 6, 2012 On ABC

About the Show:
Based on the book Good Christian Bitches, GCB is a funny, sassy and heartwarming drama that begs the  question: Can you go back home to a place where no one seems to have  grown up?
When former mean girl Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb) moves back to Dallas 18 years after high school, former unpopular teen-turned-diva-of-Dallas Carlene Cockburn (Emmy and Tony Award-Winner Kristin Chenoweth) gets a major dose of PTSD. To top it off, Amanda’s living across the street from the Cockburns with her feisty mother Gigi Stopper (Emmy Award-Nominee Annie Potts)! Amanda has changed for the morally better but Carlene and her other victims -- the GCBs -- have their doubts. The GCBs now rule the school that is Dallas society and are about to settle the score with Amanda Vaughn.

The other fabulous GCBs include the shrewd, distinguished CEO Cricket (Miriam Shor); the endearing, consummate housewife and mother, Sharon (Jennifer Aspen); and the self-made, always-single-but-on-the-prowl Heather (Marisol Nichols).

Behind every great GCB (except Heather, of course), is a great husband, which includes Carlene’s Ripp (David James Elliot), a devoted hunk with a secret or two; Cricket’s Blake (Mark Deklin), her gorgeously fabulous better half; and Sharon’s Zack (Brad Beyer), a good-time guy and former pro athlete.
Oh, let the games begin…

Season 1

Episode 1: Pilot (Mar/04/2012)
In the premiere episode, " Pilot," Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), once the ultimate high school "mean girl," is forced to return home in disgrace after her marriage ends in scandal. Reluctant but desperate, Amanda has no choice but to turn to her mother, Gigi (Annie Potts), for help. Gigi, the quintessential proper Dallas socialite, wants nothing more than to have Amanda back and to give Amanda's two teenage kids a good southern upbringing. The problem is that Amanda is nothing like the girl she was 20 years ago and is hesitant about re-entering this world of opulence, status and salacious rumor mills. She is hopeful for a new start, but soon finds it's not that easy to escape your past in this tight knit community, and the women of Dallas are none too happy to see her back in town. Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth), once the ugly duckling, was tortured by Amanda in high school but has made quite the "assisted" transformation since. Now she has a picture-perfect, lavish life with a gorgeous husband, yet she still can't seem to let go of old grudges. Then there's Cricket Caruth-Reilly (Miriam Shor) whose boyfriend Amanda stole and later married. Cricket is now a tough-as-nails, successful businesswoman with a perfect marriage - at least so it appears from the outside. Sharon Peacham (Jennifer Aspen), the fallen beauty queen whose chance at the Miss Teen Dallas crown was snatched away by a malicious rumor Amanda started, hasn't really been the same since. Finally, there's Heather Cruz (Marisol Nichols), a bit of an outsider back in high school who has now become fully inducted into this twisted little social clique of affluent, sugary, God-fearing, steely women whose bark is as bad as their bite.

Episode 2: Hell Hath No Fury (Mar/11/2012)
Amanda becomes concerned that Laura will be branded a "Javelina" or not-so cute-girl - a name that Amanda coined herself in high school -- while Gigi decides to throw Amanda a luncheon in her honor in an effort to reintroduce her to society. Meanwhile a devastated Carlene rallies from her embarrassment in church and plots to get back at Amanda, Blake and Cricket disagree over his priorities, and Sharon worries about Zach's fidelity.

Episode 3: Love is Patient (Mar/18/2012)
Things heat up when a church relationship seminar forces Amanda to confront her past while Heather sets her eyes on her new client and former high school nerd, Andrew (Tom Everett Scott). Meanwhile Carlene meddles in both Sharon's and Cricket's marriages to deflect from her own marital dissatisfaction.

Episode 4: A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing (Mar/25/2012)
When Carlene's Uncle Burl (Bruce Boxleitner) returns to town with his wife, Bitsy (Donna Mills), Gigi promises to throw them a homecoming party requiring guests to come dressed as their favorite Texan. Meanwhile Blake recruits Amanda to consult for Cricket and Blake's denim line, Pastor Tudor counsels Sharon and Zack during their rough patch -- resulting in Sharon's working at the church and Zach's taking over Sharon's duties at home -- and Heather is after Burl's 500 acres of land for her client, Andrew (Tom Everett Scott).

Episode 5: Forbidden Fruit (Apr/01/2012)
Heather brings Sheryl Crow to perform at the annual church fundraiser with a little help from her client and new love interest, Andrew, but it's Gigi who steals the show with Burl, while Carlene and Amanda find another reason to disagree with each other.

Episode 6: Turn the Other Cheek (Apr/08/2012)
When Luke convinces Carlene to take the Matron of Honor duties away from Sharon and give the honor to Amanda for her "Gone with the Wind"-themed renewal of marriage vows, Sharon is out for blood. Carlene tries to turn the other cheek and accept Amanda, while Amanda is overwhelmed with her new duties. Meanwhile, Heather seeks forgiveness from the GCBs, and Blake surprises Cricket with a special request.

Episode 7: Sex is Divine (Apr/08/2012)
When Pastor Tudor surprises the congregation with an assignment to get frisky, the GCBs take their homework seriously: Burl proposes to Gigi, and she returns with a proposal of her own, Carlene goes overboard with safe sex messaging, while Cricket and Blake interview surrogates. Meanwhile Amanda accepts a job as Pastor Tudor's assistant, and Sharon finds the secret of weight loss in the bible.

Episode 8: Pride Comes Before a Fall (Apr/15/2012)
Pastor Tudor's rivalry with Reverend Steve has Amanda taking charge of a church musical that was written by Heather in high school. The GCBs come out of the woodwork, resulting in a sing-off between Carlene and Cricket. Meanwhile, Sharon takes her "Losing it with Jesus" weight loss program to the next level and recruits Gigi to help.

Episode 9: Adam & Eve’s Rib (Apr/29/2012)
When Amanda tries to put together an all female barbeque team to prove a point to her daughter, she recruits the helps of the GCBs for the cook-off of the year. Meanwhile Heather meets an attractive butcher (Kevin Alejandro), Cricket purchases stud services from businessman Mason Massey (Grant Bowler), Carlene becomes frustrated with Ripp, and Sharon tries to help Zack with his dealership problems.

Episode 10: Revelation (May/06/2012)
When Carlene takes the GCBs down to unincorporated Juarez for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Condos for Christian Living, the GCBs find themselves in danger. Meanwhile Amanda's suspicions regarding Luke lead to a surprising discovery about Ripp.
