hello fellow mac users! I just check shows with my macbook and watched the episode 40 of AI. Loading is fast, streaming is smooth and found no glitch at all. No crashing encountered and I guess there's no more problem at all. I did nothing technically. I just visited the site, click the show, log in, and bingo! I guess everything is fine now, I hope....(the admin already fixed the problems) Anyone who has the same experienced?

Unfortunately, not for me. Still both Safari and Firefox (on MacBook Pro) crash in exactly the same way.

Just tried again on mac, nothing. Still having to use virtualbox to get it to work.
Author: rickman    Time: 5-25-2009 05:06

So sorry to hear that from you guys. lbjedward asked me to test/check it at haiwai.hk but I cannot open the site with that. so I just tried it at viptv.net and found no glitch at all. the admin informed me that they already ruled out haiwai.hk and they decoded the viptv.net for mac users. And I'd like to add that I am using Safari in my PC and it works... The loading is a bit slow but it works. Most of the time I used my PC in watching coz of my huge display... I used my macbook when I'm on the go only. hope you can identify and resolve the problem at your end soon...

Hey guys I have tried several browsers trying to get it to work with no success UNTILL I tried removing the safari 4 beta and went back to the regular Safari 3.2.3. Now it is working perfect ! Here is the link for safari 4 uninstaller (http://www.apple.com/safari/download/) download it open the DMG file and click on the safari 4 beta uninstaller and it will remove safari 4 and put back the older safari. If you try it and it works Please post to let all of the fellow mac users know about it. I know this is not the best workaround but it sure beats watching shows in VM Ware, Parallels, or GOD forbid boot camp. [ Last edited by uniquer at 5-25-2009 07:30 ]

It's still not working for me on my Mac! Points are being deducted every time I try though which is pretty annoying. So frustrating but it sounds like you're working hard to fix it so thank you! Any more ideas?

Please send any error messages you get in a PM to lbjedward. The issue seems resolved for most of our Mac users - maybe PM philryk to see what it was that enabled her to view, as she was one that had great difficulty and worked with the tech team to resolve the issue. Also, lost points are still reimbursed by sending a PM to lbjedward.

More than happy to try to help If you have msn or are on facebook pm with your id/username and we can see if we talk it through on messenger (probably easier than using pm's or emails) bear in mind I am UK time zone so will be in bed soon but I am at home all day for the next two days and could probably use an occasional break from revising about fossils :p

It's definitely not working with Opera on my powerbook. The strangest thing is the day the new site went live I was watching Law and Order just fine. Now suddenly it's not working at all. This is annoying. Losing points really sucks.

try to watch it in safari and real player 10....
Author: aliyua    Time: 5-28-2009 13:38

It seems to be working fine for me now. When I click on any episode, it launches real player. So all gravy here.

Does this update mean that the Mac issues won't be fixed for other browsers? I can watch shows on Safari now, but they still won't work on Opera; although this is only a minor annoyance, I use the site quite a lot and would definitely prefer to use my main browser.

I really don't know. If it would require re-coding, I doubt they would be able to make it compatible with every browser, but I do know some Mac users are able to use Firefox & Safari. You could always ask lbjedward in a PM.
Author: philryk    Time: 5-31-2009 11:24

Just so you know it works fine in firefox as well, I know it can be a real pain to use a browser that is not the one you use all the time .... I have to use a different one from mine to access my online banking and it winds me up.
Author: vip499779    Time: 6-17-2009 00:19     Subject: Opera work around

Just wanted to share my work around that I figured out for opera just in case people haven't figured it out yet. When I click on an episode a new window pops up telling me, "Error, you tried to access the address vip and it is unavailable." What I do is ctrl+click this window and select the copy address option. Then I open real player and under the file tab at the top I select open location. It will ask you to enter the url you are trying to open. Just paste the address you copied and hit enter to open the location. The episode should begin playing shortly after that. It's kind of pain to have to do this every time I want to watch an episode. It really makes me miss the old site that worked flawlessly with Opera. But anyway at least I can stop using Safari now. Also an interesting side note. If you ctrl+click the Opera window that opens for each episode there will be an option that say "Open with." You might find that one of the options listed is in fact Realplayer. If you click it realplayer should open automatically and you don't have to go through the fuss of copying and pasting. This is the method I used to use. However after I updated to the lastest version of Opera the realplay option disappeared. If you find you don't have the realplayer option listed just use the first method I described. Hopes this helps. I'm probably weeks too late and everyone has already figured this out for themselves... but I wanted to list it anyway just in case.

Author: waterlilybarb    Time: 7-6-2015 14:46     Subject: Reply 28#28 W385's post

Hello. The video format on movieonline.cc has recently been changed to HTML5. Here on viptv;net, the format is still Flash. I'm not a Mac user, but many of our members are. I'm not sure if the tips here are up to date for Mac, but I suggest you start with the suggestions there. If it doesn't help, please post again, and I'll see if one of the other moderators, who does use a Mac can provide more suggestions for you.
