A New Kind Of Justice League


Justice League Aired From July 31, 2004 – May 13, 2006 On Cartoon Network



Plot:
Among their number are the Martian Manhunter, last survivor of Mars; Superman, the super-powered last survivor of the planet Krypton; Batman, the Dark Knight Detective; Green Lantern, wielder of an alien Power Ring; The Flash, the Fastest Man Alive; Hawkgirl, Winged Wonder and policewoman from the planet Thanagar, and Wonder Woman, Princess of the Amazons.

Starting with the third season, the show was retitled "Justice League Unlimited" and now the core members, under the guidance of the Martian Manhunter, command teams of specialist heroes brought together to deal with specific crises they are best suited to handling.

Episode 1: Secret Origins (1)
Batman investigates a series of mysterious space signals and finds an alien conspiracy, while Superman is overwhelmed by telepathic alien messages as war-machines land and begin attacking Earth.

Episode 2: Secret Origins (2)
Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Hawkgirl team up with Superman, Batman, and J'onn J'onzz to defeat the alien invaders, but one of them falls in battle and the others are soon overwhelmed.

Episode 3: Secret Origins (3)
The heroes race to rescue two of their own before the Imperium gets to Earth and completes its conquest.

Episode 4: In Blackest Night (1)
'No man escapes the Manhunters.' An alien court sends the Manhunters to bring Green Lantern back for prosecution on the charge of genocide, and the League gets involved.

Episode 5: In Blackest Night (2)
Believing that Green Lantern is receiving an unfair trial, the Leaguers investigate, while GL's superiors, the Guardians of the Universe, enter as witnesses. But the whole trial may be a ruse.

Episode 6: The Enemy Below (1)
When Aquaman, ruler of Atlantis, decides he has had enough of the surface-dwellers trespassing in his ocean, the Justice League tries to smooth things over. Aquaman takes Superman's advice and arrives in New York City to speak to the World Assembly, but it soon becomes apparent that he may have been right about the surface-dwellers all along.

Episode 7: The Enemy Below (2)
Betrayed by his own subjects, Aquaman and the League fight to save Atlantis, the world, and Aquaman's own son against his half-brother Orm's coup.

Episode 8: Paradise Lost (1)
Wonder Woman returns to Paradise Island to make up with her mother for her rapid departure, only to find the Amazons transformed to statutes. The sorcerer Felix Faust is hold them hostage to force Diana to recover three ancient artifacts.

Episode 9: Paradise Lost (2)
The League fight to save Paradise Island and Wonder Woman's own mother from Felix Faust and Lord Hades.

Episode 10: War World (1)
Superman and J'onn are taken prisoner during a rescue mission gone bad, and Superman is forced to compete in a gladiatorial tournament on a distant world while Hawkgirl and Green Lantern try to rescue them.

Episode 11: War World (2)
Green Lantern and Hawkgirl continue their search for Superman and J'onn, who have discovered a diabolical plot within War World's gladiatorial games.

Episode 12: The Brave and the Bold (1)
When the Flash is mind-controlled into committing a crime, he and Green Lantern work to clear his name and uncover a sinister scheme.

Episode 13:  The Brave and the Bold (2)
When Gorilla Grodd mentally enslaves a city of humans and prepares to destroy Gorilla City, Green Lantern and Flash try to defeat him while the other Leaguers move to help the ape civilization.

Episode 14: Fury (1)
A renegade Amazon, Aresia, leads a new incarnation of the Injustice Gang to accumulate the components for a bio-weapon.

Episode 15: Fury (2)
When the male Leaguers are infected by the same disease sweeping Earth, Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl must defeat Aresia and find a cure.

Episode 16: Legends (1)
An explosion throws four Leaguers into an alternate dimension where they meet Green Lantern's childhood comic book heroes...the Justice Guild!

Episode 17: Legends (2)
The League aid the Justice Guild against their arch-nemeses while trying to unravel the secrets of the Guild's world.

Episode 18: Injustice For All (1)
The League capture a dying Luthor, who breaks out of prison and assembles a group of villains to defeat the heroes.

Episode 19:  Injustice For All (2)
Batman is captured by the villains, who plan on destroying the Watchtower and finding a cure for Lex.

Episode 20: A Knight of Shadows (1)
The sorceress Morgaine Le Fey and her son Mordred search for the Philosopher's Stone, and the Justice League need the help of the Demon Etrigan to thwart her.

Episode 21: A Knight of Shadows (2)
Morgaine and Mordred get the Stone and plan to transform England and restore it to its medieval glory.

Episode 22: Metamorphosis (1)
An old friend of John Stewart's is inadvertently turned into a freak capable of altering his molecular structure, separating him from his girlfriend and pitting him against the League.

Episode 23: Metamorphosis (2)
The League battle Metamorpho but soon discover that his future father-in-law, Simon Stagg, poses the true menace.

Episode 24: The Savage Time (1)
When the present is altered, the Justice League must travel back in time to World War II to restore history.

Episode 25: The Savage Time (2)
A separate League struggle against the Naxis and determine who is responsible for the Axis' technological advances.

Episode 26: The Savage Time (3)
The Justice League, still divided, battle the Germans on several fronts as Vandal Savage launches his plan to invade America.

Episode 1: Twilight (1)
The Justice League is forced to ally with Darkseid against an enemy powerful enough to threaten both Earth and Apokolips.

Episode 2: Twilight (2)
The League are forced to battle both Darkseid and Brainiac, while Wonder Woman and Batman seek the aid of Orion, son of Darkseid.

Episode 3: Tabula Rasa (1)
Lex Luthor, on the run from the League, reactivates an old LexCorp project to stop the League - an android that can duplicate the powers of anyone it sees.

Episode 4: Tabula Rasa (2)
Even Superman is unable to defeat the android once it duplicates all of the League's powers. Only with the aid of J'onn, suffering a crisis of faith when he is overwhelmed by humanity's pettiness during a telepathic scan, can they turn Amazo against Lex.

Episode 5: Only a Dream (1)
The Justice League must deal with a prison break, unaware that prisoner John Dee is using the distraction to gain access to an experimental ESP machine and gain the power to manipulate dreams

Episode 6: Only a Dream (2)
Four of the Leaguers are trapped in their dreams by Dr. Destiny - only J'onn and Batman can rescue them...if they don't fall asleep first.

Episode 7:  Maid of Honour(1)
Batman and Wonder Woman find themselves enmeshed in the schemes of Vandal Savage to take over the small country of Kasnia and use its space program to blackmail the world.

Episode 8: Maid of Honour(2)
Batman and Wonder Woman move against Kasnia to prevent Vandal Savage from terrorizing the world with his orbital rail gun.

Episode 9: Hearts and Minds (1)
John Stewart leaves on a mission to help his fellow Green Lanterns overthrow a intergalactic dictator with strange powers

Episode 10:  Hearts and Minds (2)
Despero's followers attack and John is forced to use a gun when his ring becomes useless due to Despero's mental tampering. While John, Katma, and Hawkgirl are captured, J'onn, Kilowog, and Flash must try to deactivate the mystic flames and deprive Despero of his power.

Episode 11: A Better World (1)
The Justice Lords, an alternate version of the League from a different dimension, capture their counterparts and plan to bring their own brand of justice to the new Earth.

Episode 12: A Better World (2)
The Justice League must escape from their imprisonment at the hands of the Justice Lords and defeat their counterparts with the help of an unlikely ally.

Episode 13:  Eclipsed (1)
A strange gemstone possesses all who touch it, turning them to evil...including Wonder Woman.

Episode 14: Eclipsed (2)
The League discover the secret behind the "Black Heart" gem, but everyone except the Flash is possessed, and he must save the day before the sun is destroyed.

Episode 15: The Terror Beyond (1)
After Aquaman frees Solomon Grundy, Hawkgirl and the Justice League are convinced that the Lord of Atlantis has gone rogue. But when the trail leads them to the mysterious Dr. Fate, they discover there is more to this strange partnership than meets the eye.

Episode 16: The Terror Beyond (2)
With the initial ritual destroyed, the League, Fate, and Grundy must travel into the dimension of the Old Ones while Aquaman fights the invaders in the Earth realm.

Episode 17: Secret Society (1)
Gorilla Grodd brings together a powerful team of villains, welding them together into a close-knit group. Meanwhile the League is plagued by its own internal problems and non-cooperation, leaving them vulnerable to attack.

Episode 18: Secret Society (2)
The Secret Society take advantage of the League's break-up to bring them down until only Green Lantern remains to free his comrades. When he falls as well everything looks hopeless.

Episode 19: Hereafter (1)
After Superman makes the ultimate sacrifice to save his fellow heroes, the Justice League and rest of the grieving planet must learn to live in a world without Superman.

Episode 20: Hereafter (2)
Superman finds himself on a devastated future Earth with the man responsible - Vandal Savage.

Episode 21: Wild Cards (1)
In the ultimate reality show, the Joker pits the Justice League against the clock and against the Royal Flush Gang as the Justice League races to find and disarm all the bombs he's planted along the Strip in Las Vegas.

Episode 22: Wild Cards (2)
The League manage to defuse the Joker's bombs and defeat the four active members of the Royal Flush Gang...but the Joker has an Ace in the hole as he executes his real master plan.

Episode 23: Comfort and Joy
n this one-part episode, the Justice Leaguers go their separate ways to celebrate the holiday season. After saving a distant planet, the League returns in time for Christmas. Clark and J'onn visit Smallville for a Kent family Christmas, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl have a snowball fight and visit an alien bar while comparing holiday traditions, and the Flash and Ultra-Humanite have a season's fight and are forced to ally together to save orphans' toys.

Episode 24: Star crossed(1)
The Thangarians, Hawkgirl's people, arrive on Earth to aid them against the menace of the Gordanians. But all is not what it seems.

Episode 25: Star crossed(2)
The League manage to escape and take refuge at Wayne Manor, while the Thanagarians scout the planet for them and realize their master plan for Earth.

Episode 26: Star crossed(3)
The League defeats the squad of hawkmen sent to kill them at the Batcave, but must now figure out how to stop the activation of the hypergate before it destroys Earth.

Episode 1: Initiation
The Justice League reforms in a new satellite headquarters and adds a new expanded roster of members. They then recruit Green Arrow to aid Green Lantern, Captain Atom, and Supergirl in defeating a nuclear monster in China.

Episode 2: For the Man Who Has Everything
Batman and Wonder Woman deliver presents to Superman at the Fortress of Solitude for his birthday, but find he's been immobilized by a special "gift" courtesy of the world-conquering Mongul.

Episode 3: Kid Stuff
When Mordred banishes all adults into Limbo, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern must make a deal with his mother Morgaine to transform into 8-year-olds in a desperate attempt to defeat the boy-wizard.

Episode 4: Hawk and Dove
Two superhero brothers, Dove (a pacifist) and Hawk (an aggressive fighter), join Wonder Woman to stop a civil war in Kaznia, but it turns out that the war is being instigated by the Greek god Ares as part of his plan to spread misery and conflict.

Episode 5: This Little Piggy
Batman turns to Zatanna for help to defeat the evil sorceress Circe and save a transformed teammate.

Episode 6: Fearful Symmetry
When Supergirl is plagued by disturbing dreams, she turns to Green Arrow and The Question for help, but they soon learn that she may not be dreaming after all.

Episode 7: The Greatest Story Never Told
While the sorcerer Mordru invades Metropolis and the League must attack en masse to stop him, gloryhound and erstwhile superhero Booster Gold ends up "crowd control" and does some world-saving of his own.

Episode 8: The Return
After the power-asborbing android Amazo destroys the home planet of the Guardians of the Universe, the League must intercept him before he reaches Earth and achieves his goal: murdering the recently reformed Lex Luthor.

Episode 9: Ultimatum
A new team of heroes, the Ultimen, help the Justice League defeat fire monsters that are attacking an oil rig. But the Ultimen soon discover that a dark secret lies at the heart of their origins and their sponsorship and turn against the League.

Episode 10:  Dark Heart
When nanotech-based alien robots land in the American southwest and overwhelm the League, only the Atom, a microscopic super hero, can defeat them.

Episode 11: Wake the Dead
Solomon Grundy rises from the grave as a mindless berserker, and when the Justice League can't stop him, they turn to a reluctant Hawkgirl for assistance.

Episode 12: The Once and Future Thing: Weird Western Tales (1)
Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern chase a time-travelling thief into the past and team up with some local "superheroes" of the era to deal with an outlaw who has used the thief's futuristic technology to take over an Old West town.

Episode 13: The Once and Future Thing: Time, Warped (2)
In pursuit of a time-travelling thief, Batman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman arrive in a futuristic Gotham City twisted horribly awry by alterations to the timestream, and must join forces with the future Batman and the Justice League Unlimited.

The League comes to the aid of Boston Brand, the ghost of a deceased circus acrobat, who needs their help in recovering the souls of members of a monastic order.

Episode 7: Patriot Act
Green Arrow must lead a team of non-powered superheroes against a berserk super-soldier attacking Metropolis.

Episode 8: The Great Brain Robbery
While the League uses magic to try to tap into Grodd's location based on Flash's previous contact with the villain, Luthor uses science to try to tap into Grodd's mind for information on Brainiac...and the resulting confluence causes the two to switch bodies.

Episode 9: Grudge Match
Roulette returns with a new version of Metabrawl...and plans to use the Justice League to boost her ratings.

Episode 10: Far From Home
Supergirl is abducted to the 31st century to aid a futuristic group of super-heroes...and where it is destined she will never return.

Episode 11: Ancient History
The Hawkman and Shadow Thief (from "Shadow of the Hawk") return and the secret behind both their existences is finally revealed.

Episode 12: Alive! (1)
Lex Luthor searches for the remains of Brainiac in distant space using the Secret Society. What awaits them in the far reaches of space? And how will Grodd attempt to retake control of the Society?

Episode 13: Destroyer (2)
Darkseid is back from the grave and has revenge on his mind with Superman as his target. Darkseid brings the armies of Apokolips to destroy the Earth and all of Earth's super-powered meet the attack. The end looks bleak but the world's salvation comes from an unexpected act of heroism.
