I am wondering the same thing! That was the first unpredicted storyline thrown into the show! Maybe he was married or in a serious relationship when he got pulled in to the middle organization and either something happened to her or he broke it off because he didn't want anything to happen to her. Totally true?!?! and what kind of evil is tyler going to urn into if WW dosn't save him first? the mirror parallel world has given us some insight on what just might come next in the middleman world.

It takes a lot of effort to watch-this is a good example of a show challenging to watch
