The main reason I began watching it was for David Spade. I guess its one of these shows that has really got it right with picking the perfect characters for the roles. My favorite has to be Jeff, then Audrey cause she's is fine for someone at her age Adam and Jennifer are also a cool couple. Every character really is crucial and important for the continuous success of the show. Author: bala Time: 7-16-2008 09:59 Subject: Reply 2#2 J708's post

I cannot recommend this and til death enough. I watched the first series of each when it was on but could not find the second series of either on the internet so have been in withdraw the past year. This has made my summer.
I must agree with bala though that til death is the funnier of the two but this will still have you in stitches. Author: minnieholly Time: 7-16-2008 16:44
Looks interested David Spade was hilirious in 8 simple rules. so I wonder what this show is about I never heard of it but that is the beauty of this website to see showds you enjoy or who have never seen before. Author: J708 Time: 7-16-2008 23:38
Jeffs cold personality is really what makes me want to keep watching this show. He was extremely funny at first. But David Spades line are classics. Really the first 3 minutes of the pilot made me love the show. Whom ever watched it, should know what I'm talking about. The scene with Russell and Adam in the restaurant. David Spades is over-rated-he not as funny as he was in older sitcom Author: J708 Time: 7-17-2008 00:06 Subject: Reply 13#13 bala's post

The last CBS sitcom on Monday nights has finally been added! (Excluding The New Adventures of Old Christine...which I really want.) But anyways, this has impressive ratings and people must tune in for some reason. I used to gag thinking of CBS sitcoms, but they aren't half bad... HIMYM is my favorite, and The Big Bang Theory provides some laughs... Two and a Half Men was OK and I'll check out this show to see how it ranks between the other three. i never depend on rating-i go watch an episode if i like it i continue to watch-you should never judge a show based on someone else's opinion Author: redsoxpatriot30 Time: 7-17-2008 12:33 Subject: Reply #17 bala's post
Right...I mean, New Amsterdam was great but got dismal ratings... It's just that when shows get consistently good ratings or are at the top of the charts, then there may be possible material you find interesting. Critics do help sometimes when making a decision on what to see...although sometimes they're just plain wrong. Author: dannixx Time: 7-17-2008 22:47

actually it's only 13 episodes Author: spratt89 Time: 9-3-2008 23:44 Subject: Brian Dennehy Lands "Meaty" Sitcom Role
Brian Dennehy, a silver-screen vet and six-time Emmy nominee, is bringing his acting chops — and perhaps some savory lamb chops, as well! — to CBS' Rules of Engagement, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
In one of the sitcom's first episodes of the new season, Dennehy will guest star as the father of Patrick Warburton's Jeff. The verbal jabs fly between Jeff's wife, Audrey, and her father-in-law, whose alpha-male antics, unbridled love for meat and blatant chauvinism make his sometimes-gruff son look positively refined.
Dennehy's big-screen resume includes the tracking and capture of one John Rambo (in First Blood) and F/X. He won a Golden Globe for the TV presentation of the Arthur Miller classic Death of a Salesman.

Rules of Engagement' cancelled by CBS
Rules of Engagement has reportedly been cancelled by CBS.
The veteran sitcom, which was recently moved to a new slot on Thursdays at 8.30pm, will not return for a seventh season, according to TV Series Finale.
The site claims that the sitcom's cast and crew are currently filming the last two episodes for season six, which will serve as the final episodes for the show.
Cast members - including David Spade, Patrick Warburton, Bianca Kajlich, Megyn Price and Oliver Hudson - were apparently informed of the network's decision on Friday night.
TV Series Finale credits an unnamed source as saying: "The reality is it's got to be politics. The network has always had it out for [series creator] Tom [Hertz] and the show.
"It really does seem to be a desperation move on their part to find something that hits it out of the ballpark in that Thursday 8.30 slot."
Warburton previously criticised CBS, after the network originally planned to air Rules in a "s**t" Saturday night slot.
"The scripts are great and we're having a lot of fun doing the show," he said. "But God knows if anybody's gonna find us on Saturday night."
