Plot:
Take a trip into the world of deception and espionage that is MI5. Spooks…they do not exist, you will never know their names, and they are all that stand between you and those who would do your country harm.
In the United States and Canada the show is aired under the title MI-5, due to the racial connotations of the word "spook" in those countries.

Episode 1
An abortion doctor is executed by an American pro-life terrorist; Mary Kane. An informant reveals that this is just the tip of the iceberg as Mary has 20 more bombs and plans on using them. To make matters worse she has started training more pro-life groups, within the UK.
Episode 2
Tom and Helen must go undercover and befriend the wife of a suspected hardcore racist in order to prevent a racewar. Meanwhile Zoe and Tessa learn that a boatload of refugees is due to dock at Dover in the next few days. Things worsen when the operatives realize the two things may be connected and their covers may be blown.
Episode 3
Whilst on a routine check of the bugs in the Turkish Embassy, Zoe and all the other people in the embassy are taken hostage by terrorists who wish to negotiate the release of their parents from prison. If Zoe's cover as a PR consultant is blown she will almost certainly be killed. Things worsen when Harry realizes that the attack on the embassy was all just a distraction from something much, much bigger.
Episode 4
MI5's best officer, Peter Salter, seems to be joining the enemy. President Bush is scheduled to visit and it seems as though Salter is trying to stop the peace, is this all part of his mission or is he in fact a triple-agent?
Episode 5
Disgraced MP Hampton Wilder has written memoirs with the power to destroy the government. Moreover, an old KGB agent engaged in smuggling illegal arms has impugned the integrity of one of the Prime Minister's closest colleagues.
Episode 6
Patrick McCann, the leader of an IRA splinter group, claims to have information about a nuclear attack on the UK mainland. In exchange for the information, McCann demands that his group be given 30 hours free from surveillance, free to do whatever they wish.

Episode 1The series picks up exactly where we left it. With Tom's family trapped in his house with a bomb and nothing Tom or the other Spooks can do but watch on. There is a huge explosion and the credits begin. However there is no time to focus on these events as a Serbian Warlord has been seen entering the U.K. vowing revenge for the death of his sons in a N.A.T.O. bombing raid. Zoe is sent undercover to track him down, and prevent any further deaths.
Episode 2
A fellow agent informs Tom that young men attending a mosque in Birmingham are being trained as suicide bombers. They need to find a suitable agent to penetrate the mosque.
Episode 3
MI5's mainframe has been hacked into. Tom and his team think they have found a lead in the form of an I.T. teacher, so Zoe is sent undercover to get close to him and find out his secrets before the inner sanctum is breached and the identity of every agent is revealed.
Episode 4
After stealing a large amount of money from a bank a man is found crucified on the moors. The Treasury calls in the team to investigate but when Harry decides to take the mission further Danny's life is put in danger.
Episode 5
Tom's skills as leader are tested to their extremes when they take part in an Extreme Emergency Response Initiative Exercise (EERIE) to test their response to nuclear, chemical or biological act in central London, but when the power in the grid is cut and Harry starts to feel ill, they soon begin to suspect it is for real.
Episode 6
The U.S. President makes an unexpected stop in London. Tom and his team are forced to work with the CIA. A power struggle between the two secret organizations begins but will they stop fighting before a terrible mistake is made? And will Tom's ex-girlfriend leave well alone or will she have to be taught a lesson?
Episode 7
A renegade scientist has developed Firestorm, a top secret weapons system, for the French military, but is now threatening to sell it to the highest bidder. The British want the technology, and MI5 are tasked with stealing it without alerting the French intelligence service. A burglary at Harry's flat seems to put the operation in jeopardy.
Episode 8
A new series of strikes has the team worried. When the team gets news of a "strike" by the army, Tom is sent undercover to investigate. Meanwhile, rail strikes disrupt the transportation of spent uranium cells, and Zoe has to ensure that it reaches its destination.
Episode 9
A Colombian drugs cartel is implicated in the murder of a team from Customs and Excise. Zoe and Tom are sent undercover to "turn" the girlfriend of the head of the cartel. Tessa, still nursing a grudge against Harry and MI5, reappears, and her interference may jeopardize the operation.
Episode 10
Tom ignores Harry's demands to end his relationship with CIA officer Christine Dale. Christine hands Tom a secure communication which she has accidentally received from high up in the CIA. It says that an American assassin has come to the UK for a hit and that the CIA are going to take him out, without informing MI5 or any of the security services. Tom can't tell Harry what he knows so enlists Danny and Zoe to help him, but things start to go terribly wrong.

Episode 1
Tom Quinn has disappeared after shooting his boss Harry Pearce. He also stands accused of assassinating the Chief of Defence Staff. Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee Oliver Mace uses this a pretext to launch a punitive investigation of MI5. Zoe, Danny and the team must prove Tom innocent and save the service from government takeover.
Episode 2
Harry reawakens sleeper agent Fred Roberts, a renowned chemist and family man. As Fred becomes more deeply involved with deadly terrorists, Tom has a crisis of conscience which could jeopardise his career.
Episode 3
Danny and the team must uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a famous novelist.
Episode 4
The latest round of Middle East peace talks are abruptly halted when a key delegate is killed. With the peace process derailed MI5 start to investigate a newspaper mogul and renowned Israeli extremist, and a group he's associated with called the November Committee. Can MI5 prevent an assassination attempt on a pro-Palestinian British MP?
Episode 5
Saturday morning. Danny and Colin practice their firing technique on MI-5s gun range. Zoe and fiance Will are still madly in love. Ruth watches old movies at home whilst longing for real-life romance. A North Sea mission places additional stain on all relationships…
Episode 6
Zoe is tried for manslaughter when an MI5 operation results in the murder of an undercover police officer.
Episode 7
While a deadly hacker turns Britain upside down, Danny decides whether to reveal all to Will. MI5 hunts the source down to an Islamic mosque with the help of MI5's best computer programmers. But things get suspicious when Ruth, close on the tail of the hacker, goes missing and so does a member of the special team…
Episode 8
The baby of a celebrity couple is kidnapped and they call in MI5. Fiona goes in undercover to gather more information about the couple against Adam's wishes.
Episode 9
When known mercenary Robert Morgan is spotted at a top-secret disused Soviet arms dump (of which, apparently, there are several in this country), he obviously has to be brought in for questioning. Especially as the powers that be soon realise that a missile has gone missing. It seems that someone — a terrorist group, presumably — is planning a devastating strike on a London target. And Morgan knows who it is and when it's going to happen, so it's up to MI5 to get him to talk.
While their investigation methods are startlingly clever, their interrogation methods are far more back-to-basics (sleep deprivation and that sort of thing). Adam Carter doesn't actually beat the suspect up, but he's just half a step away from torture. It's a story that throws up some difficult ethical dilemmas about how far agencies should go to protect the public. Is it all right to blackmail innocent people to get the information you want? Is it acceptable to threaten the lives of a suspect's family?
Episode 10
It's Fiona's birthday, and she's not likely to forget it. While inspecting a possible Islamic terrorist safe house, she and Danny are kidnapped. Adam faces an unbearable choice when he must say which of them won't live to see another day. The prime minister's life is in danger. Will MI5 give in to the kidnappers' demands?

Episode 1
When a devastating bomb explodes in central London, causing multiple deaths, a terrorist group with a hatred for human life claim responsibility. With their leader facing extradition, the bombers announce that crippling attacks will be launched at ten hour intervals until he is released. Will the team be able to track down the perpetrators before they strike again?
Episode 2
Zafar and Adam race against the clock to uncover the latest bomb. As a new ultimatum is issued and Tash mysteriously disapears, the team is forced to deal with the possibility of a mole within their own organisation.
Episode 3
MP William Sampson sparks civil unrest and racist attacks in his constituency when he defects to the far right-wing british way party. With more MP's set to follow the lead of Sampson, Harrys team are told to discredit him before democracy is threatened. Helped by Ruth, Adam infiltrates the BWP and engineers a rift between Sampson and his deputy Keith Moran. Fiona pretends to be a PR supremo and makes Sampson a laughing stock in front of the media. With the BWP finished, Sampson and Moran learn of Adam's role in their downfall and soon Fiona and Ruth are in a battle to survive…
Episode 4
Adam has his hands full trying to turn a prominent terrorist into a double agent in order to avert another major bombing in London. Adam has to go undercover and join illegal immigrants being transported to the UK from Turkey. Among them is Ali Muhammand Yazdi, the founder of an al-Qaeda splinter group.
The operation appears to have been funded by a Middle Eastern prince who, informant Yazdi says, is a key London terrorist cell member. MI5 takes the prince into custody, but can Yazdi be trusted?
Episode 5
The agents are assigned to protect a journalist who is about to break the story of a former Cabinet Minister with a shady past. But the task gets complicated when it is revealed that the minister was murdered by a neo-conservative group with connections to the government.
Episode 6
When MI5 get information that a suspect is coordinating an attack from prison, they make a decision to release him. Will he lead them to a terrorist network?
Episode 7
Adam and Fiona's marriage is tested to the breaking point. Against Adam's wishes, Fiona insists on going under cover in an operation which leads straight back to her troubled past with devastating consequences.
Episode 8
The agents are forced to rely on a well-known traitor as they infiltrate a Russian company.
Episode 9
Harry Pierce prevents the illegal extradition of a suspected terrorist to the U.S. and, determining that the suspect poses no threat, releases him. The terrorist later kills the MI5 officers surveilling him, and Juliet has no choice but to relieve Harry of his duties.
Episode 10
A former spook with a secret agenda holds the team hostage, threatening to blow up Thames House unless they tell her the "truth" about the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Ruth is left to try to talk her out of her murderous plans, but the team fails to see their former colleague's real agenda until it is too late…

Episode 1
The government introduces draconian emergency measures in response to a series of terrorist attacks. MI5 fear that influential establishment figures are behind the attacks and may be planning a coup.
Episode 2
MI5 has foiled an attempt to murder the Home Secretary, but the plotters use the new emergency powers to imprison Harry. The team must try to frustrate the coup before Harry is executed.
Episode 3
Zaf goes deep undercover to infiltrate an Al Qaeda cell that is planning an attack on the UK. When Adam learns that the terrorists are on a suicide mission he tries to prevent them from reaching their target, but events soon spiral out of control.
Episode 4
Posted undercover at the World Trade Summit for Africa, the team discovers an assassination plot. Initially determined to put their lives on the line to prevent the murder, they are faced with a moral dilemma on discovering the motivate behind the plot.
Episode 5
The government publishes its report on the investigation into death of seven terrorist suspects in a fire at a prison. Harry suspects a cover up, then discovers that one of his team has been implicated.
Episode 6
Adam and Zaf try to find a group of terrorists who have infiltrated Britain. Ros oversees a visit by a delegation of Saudi princes offering a guaranteed oil supply in exchange for nuclear expertise, but the Saudi Trade Centre is attacked by terrorists.
Episode 7
The terrorists start to execute hostages in pursuit of their demand for the release of Al Qaeda prisoners held in Saudi Arabia, but suspicion arises as to the true identity of the terrorists.
Episode 8
MI5 investigate the assassination of a Muslim cleric outside the high court, and uncover a radicalised Christian who is determined to incite a religious war.
Episode 9
MI5 is put in charge of protecting Niko Grecic, the former right-hand of Tezlia, a Serbian who is put on trial for war crimes. They know that Richard Dempsey, a former MI6 agent who turned on them, is looking for Grecic to kill him before he can testify. Adam, Jo and Zafar must protect Grecic at all costs.
Episode 10
An environmental terrorist group is threatening to flood London if the government does not publish a document exposing its ecological policies as a sham.

The team investigate a plane crash near the site of a U.S. airbase. Ros, meanwhile, is in the hands of a shadowy organisation known as Yalta...
Episode 4
Jo is kidnapped and there is a bomber loose in London. Can Adam save a life?
Episode 5
MI5 have to intercept a Russian arms dealer who plans to pass blueprints for a nuclear device to Iran. Adam and Ana decide to bring their relationship to a close.
Episode 6
Ros and Adam go undercover as an air stewardess and passenger to intercept a courier carrying a circuit board that will make Iran a nuclear power. Harry is determined to identify the mole in MI5.
Episode 7
Armed terrorists hijack a BBC current affairs show. Unless the participants confirm on-air that Iran is now a nuclear state, the gunmen will start shooting hostages.
Episode 8
Ros is exposed as the traitor within MI5. Reluctantly, Harry and Adam decide to use her to stop Yalta's plans.
Episode 9
Adam questions recent events and his role in them and makes a decision that could rip the government wide open. But before he can implement his plan, Section D is closed down and the team suspended from duty. Meanwhile it seems someone in the government has approved the assassination of the team as the terms of the UK's future peace with the middle east.
Episode 10
Hardliners opposed to the peace between Iran and the West have targeted a London school. Jo is captured by Redbacks, the mercenaries who abducted Zaf.

Episode 1
Members of an al-Qaeda cell abduct a British soldier home on leave from a tour in Iraq, and threaten to execute him unless the Government cancels the country's Remembrance Sunday commemorations. MI5 secure the release of Lucas North, an MI5 agent captured by the Russian FSB eight years before. Arkady Kachimov, head of the FSB's London operation, offers to exchange intelligence on a Muslim terrorist network in exchange for support for an Anglo-Russian energy deal. Fearing that her cover has been compromised, Harry recalls Ros Myers from assignment in Moscow.
Episode 2
Harry is determined to take revenge on Arkady Kachimov for his complicity in the attempted Remembrance Sunday outrage. Ros coordinates an attempt to expose FSB plans to destabilise the UK. Lucas could be a valuable MI5 asset, but Harry is uncertain where his loyalties lie after eight years in Russia.
Episode 3
Ben infiltrates an al-Qaeda cell and uncovers a plan to mount a bombing campaign in London. Lucas reveals that the Russians are aware of Operation Sugarhorse, suggesting that the FSB have a highly-placed mole within MI5. Harry seeks the assistance of his mentor, the Spycatcher.
Episode 4
A senior al-Qaeda operative offers to provide intelligence on a planned terror attack in exchange for the public pardon of two prisoners. The FSB order Lucas to ensure that the bomb goes off.
Episode 5
Ros and Lucas go undercover to investigate the role of a prominent businessman in the destablisation of the British banking system.
Episode 6
Section D uncovers an MI6 plot to assassinate a U.N. negotiator, in London to attend an emergency peace summit following an Israeli assault on Gaza. Lucas tries to discover the identity of someone selling elements of an assassin's toolkit. Harry receives information about the highly-placed mole from a sleeper in Russia.
Episode 7
Operation Sugarhorse is compromised and Harry is arrested on suspicion of being the Russian mole within MI5. Lucas travels to Russia to obtain intelligence that may secure the UK against the threat of nuclear attack. Ben investigates irregularities in the circumstances leading to the death of an asset.
Episode 8
Section D uncover details of Tiresias, a network of Russian sleepers tasked with crippling the UK's infrastructure ahead of a nuclear attack. They turn to the traitor Connie James for assistance, but the FSB are determined to recover their asset.

Episode 1
The team is shocked after Viktor Sarkisiian kidnapped Harry. A video of Harry's apparent execution by the Sacred Army of Righteous Vengeance is posted online and when Sarkisiian is found dead hopes of finding Harry alive start running short. While Lucas works with the CIA, Ruth comes back to the grid with secrets about a clandestine weapons operation. Ruth is kidnapped too as the team engages in a life or death mission to save her and Harry.
Episode 2
An explosion at a gas processing plant threatens the country's energy supplies. With low reserves and on the verge of running out, the country turns to Tazbekstan for help. Urazov, the Tazbek Trade and Industry Secretary, wants a free hand to wipe out his enemies on British soil in return for energy. Section D must decide if the price is too high.
Episode 3
It's bad enough when terrorists burst into a secret meeting and kidnap eight of the world's richest men, but an undercover Ros is also one of the hostages.
Episode 4
Oleg Darshavin, the man responsible for torturing Lucas North when he was detained by the FSB, arrives in London claiming to have intelligence about a possible Sudanese terrorist attack. Harry, concerned about a covert intelligence meeting in Basel, suspects that there is a traitor operating within MI5.
Episode 5
Jack Coleville, the man who recruited Ros Myers into MI6, is threatening to publish his memoirs. Harry is sceptical about the apparent suicide of Samual Walker, the CIA's London chief. Meanwhile, someone is asassinating British and U.S. agents.
Episode 6
With the UK government struggling to honour its national debt payments, MI5 is tasked with retrieving over a billion pounds worth of funds from an investment bank, but their asset within the bank has gone rogue. Ruth discovers that "Nightingale" are behind the clandestine meeting at Basel.
Episode 7
Section D must prevent the escalation of hostilities between Muslim and Hindu communities following the murder of a Pakistani intelligence officer.
Episode 8
India and Pakistan stand on the brink of nuclear war following the capture of an Indian submarine. Section D is tasked with providing security for an emergency peace summit brokered by the British and U.S. governments, but Nightingale plans to frustrate negotiations by any means.

Episode 1
Lucas, on the trail of an Al Qaeda operative from Somalia, boards a ship out of Tangier where he crosses paths with undercover mercenary Beth Bailey. He discovers that a terrorist cell has smuggled explosives on board and plan an attack on British soil.
Episode 2
Section D receives intelligence about a possible assassination attempt on a major oil dealer. Beth, newly recruited into MI5, goes undercover as an oil agent to protect him, but the operation goes badly. Subsequent surveillance of the dealer reveals a plot to acquire a deadly nerve agent. Lucas meets up with an old flame.
Episode 3
Lucas works with the FSB to thwart an attempt by the Azakstan Freedom Front to acquire a deadly nerve agent, but is shocked by the Russians' methods. A race is soon on to secure the Paroxocybin before either the AFF or a rogue FSB agent can get their hands on it.
Episode 4
A Chinese security services snatch team has come to London in pursuit of a scientist who has discovered a new desalinisation technique. Ruth goes under cover at a research facility to keep an eye on him, while Beth solicits the assistance of a Chinese double agent, but there are questions as to where his loyalties lie. Meanwhile, Section D has to evaluate a bomb threat. Lucas's relationship with Maya leads to an increasing detachment from the rest of the team.
Episode 5
Beth and Dimitri are tasked with ensuring that peace talks in London between Israel and Palestine go smoothly when Lucas discovers a plot to assassinate the U.S. President.
Episode 6
A major breach of British security has led to a fatal attack on a U.S. army base, and MI5 has agreed to adopt a new U.S. security system. Lucas is tasked with looking after a White House cryptographer. The Russian and Chinese intelligence services manage to hack into the Grid and plan to gain access to the intelligence databases of both MI5 and the C.I.A.
Episode 7
An investigator from a borough council claims to have witnessed a dead drop. Ruth is initially sceptical, but a follow-up visit sees them both in mortal peril. Dimitri investigates the suspicious death of a Mafia leader. Harry discovers the truth about Lucas and confronts him.
Episode 8
MI5 launch a hunt for the fugitive Lucas North, who is determined to flee the country with Maya. Harry's loyalties are tested when Ruth's life is threatened.
