Our friendvista.com will celebrate 1st anniversary on Jan 13. 2008. So we activate posts promotion: Details: Another forum points has been introduced into our forum—Treasure(Unit: G)

Attention: if we found someone earning treasure by flooding meaningless posts violating Forum Rules, we will withdraw his/her treasure. Treasure exchange and transfer 20G in balance at least That's to say that, you only can exchange and transfer the part of treasure above 20G.
Rules:
1). Current points can not be exchanged to treasure G or transferred to other members.
2). Treasure can be exchanged to points (2G=1 points) or transferred to others. Treasure exchange and transfer both impose 10% tax.
Special discount is available from now to January 31. 50% tax off. Only 5% tax will be imposed actually in initial promotion period.

Note: please go to Member’s CP- Credits Transaction to start exchange treasure to points into your own account or transfer treasure to other accounts.
For example: lbjedward have 50G now, and exchange 30G to points(keep 20G in banalace), he will get 30G/2*90%=13 points. lbjedawrd transfer 30G(keep 20G in banalace) to xin, xin will get 30G*90%=27G. And other promotion programs will be available soon.

I actually like the concept of the treasure. It encourages more forum participation and even though people won't reply to the new thread, at least there is the consolation of getting 2 treasures. Sweet!

In some cases there are family members that have seperate forum accounts but one household account for VIP viewing. This way they can pool all their earned points into one account. This would also be ideal for University Roommates who can rack up points and pool them into one account for hours of ROBOT CHICKEN and FAMILY GUY!! LoL

You have to have a remaining balance of 20G after you have exchanged or transfered any treasure. At the moment, you have 8G so would not be able to exchange or transfer any of them. If you had 38G you would then be able to transfer 18G and while the promotion is on that would get you 8.1 points so 8 rounded down. Hope this makes things a little clearer.

Treasury converting is permanent so after promotion you can still convert them but as always you always need 20G as a balance every single time

Sorry, buddies, treasure conversion looks like complicated. Let me make something clearer. Treasure conversion is permanent, like forum points converted to VIP points. Now it's on the promotion with half tax ratio. 20G in balance: it prevents from creating lots of accounts and transfer the treasure on these accounts to one account. Because you can see that new registered account already has 2 points and 2 G when the account was created.

Totally get this, but just to save confusion, the example (until January 31st) should be based on the 5% tax rule. So to use Ibjedward's example: 50G now, and exchange 30G to points (keep 20G in balance), get 30G/2*95% = 14.25 (so rounded to 14 points)

one idea I'd like to see- the episode names showing up or their first airing dates. I am often comfused if I've already seen a show and while I can check it with the viewing history for the vip shows, it does not work for the free ones since I do not log on for these.

I know its confusing sometimes but there is nothing the Admin can do about it as you don't log in to prevent points been taken for free shows. I always consult www.tv.com for recent episodes and it usually jogs my memory and I know which one im up to. Hope this helps

For the shows that I'm not up to date on (watch weekly), I send myself a PM saying which episode number to watch next. I always check it before loading an episode and I always know where I wrote it down. Just a suggestion, but it works for me.

I got a suggestion, in the viewing history have tick box next to each entry to tell you if points have been deducted. This not only helps the user as you will be able to tell more easily if they have been wrongly charged and also the admins as they also would be able to tell straight away that points have been wrongly charged and should be given back.

FYI, I think we gave some of you faulty information. When you convert treasure, ie G, it is converted to forum points, not VIP points. You will still have to go to the Point Conversion Board to convert forum points to VIP points. Sorry for any misunderstanding, and I hope this clears that up. p.s. That's a good idea. I have a MAC and have the "stickies" application, which is basically a post-it wall that opens quickly on my computer. I keep everything listed there and check there before viewing. The equivalent on a 'normal' PC would be to create a wordpad document and keep it on your desktop.

As a newbie you can choose an avatar of your choice (as long as it abides by forum rules) and you can add a signature - but only one with words. You can even pick a colour, font & size for your signature as long as you use Discuz code. Go to "Member's CP" (found at the top of the page) and on the left select "Edit Profile". To change your avatar or add a signature select "Customized Info". That will take you to where you need to go. I hope that proves helpful to you and I look forward o seeing you around the forum.
