Dear all,
     VIPTV.NET is scheduled to be closed  from 23:00 PM(GMT-8), October 19 to 7:00  AM(GMT-8), October 20. VIPTV.NET will be unreachable for about  eight straight hours. All-new VIPTV.NET will switch on after 8-hours maintenance.  The layout and player will be totally different.  You will find that new site will be more friendly to your mobile devices.  Please be patient if you can not access to your TV shows.  After it's done, you will be able to watch over 3000 movies besides current TV shows.  And you also need not to exchange F$ to pts any more, you can buy pts directly. In addition, new site offers an option for exchanging 330pts to 30 days unlimited watching service under Member's Center, but you still need to buy enough pts first.

All movies are free to watch until 1st December  2016.  The first three episodes of every season of every tv shows are free.  Now you can directly visit http://viptv.net on your iPhone, Android phone , iPad and Android Pad to watch TV shows and movies in SD or HD quality.

Thanks for the advance notice. Can't wait to see what you've been working on, and what the new site will look like. I've been using the site since shortly after it launched, and every format change has been an improvement thus far, so I'm excited for this change. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition, without too many hiccups, especially for those who haven't checked the forum recently and seen the aanouncements.

I've been unable to keep myself from checking every few hours! I'm so looking forward to the grand unveiling...I'm also a nervous wreck that something's gone amiss but I know rationally that these things take time and working out all the glitches just to launch is a big job much less the glitches they'll be working through in the next few weeks. I was looking for Stargate free online when I found the site. Stargate Atlantis was free. Then i saw I could earn viewing points on the Forum. I actually had little experience on the computer only had mine for maybe a week when I found Friendvista. I think VIP had just launched too.

Yeah, I was looking for old Family Guy and Simpsons episodes from the beginnings of their runs and was led here. Took a while to figure out how to navigate the forum, but everything and everyone were so amazing. Cannot believe that it was only 9 years ago that older shows on the internet in general were hard to come by and Hulu had recently been born. Now almost anything can be found...crazy, crazy. Even though it seems the forum's membership has changed since then, here's hoping VIP's future remains bright!

It looks like they seriously underestimated the bugs and the amount of time it would take to upload the site. Normally I would have copious amounts of patience, but we had a hurricane two weekends ago and I just got cable back. ..Yesterday. It took 5 days to restore power and another 7 days to restore the cable/internet/phone. I have 2 weeks worth of shows to catch up on. So happy the new site is up and running... but... Was anyone else aware that VIPTV was increasing the cost of watching episodes??? It now costs 3 points per episode!! I noticed they added an update to post #1 regarding the first 3 episodes are free, but where does it mention that they are increasing the cost of watching?! Additionally, the payment options do not indicate if we can still use Amazon. Amazon was the most economical way to buy points, so between the price increase and potential no amazon... Site is back up now as some have already figured out. I just barely clicked on an episode. Like the new player, the viewing seems cleaner.


But, the reason for this post - there is no link to the forum. Or if there is one I did not see it. I had to do a Bing search to get here.

Yes, 3 pts for each episode. But we offer more free TV shows and first three episodes of each seasons of every tv shows for free. And all movies are free for 4o days.  Some members have issues for loading new player please use Ctrl plus F5 to forcefully refresh your browser.

Why didn't you inform users prior to increasing the price? Do Amazon gift cards still work the same way they did prior to the website update? Where can the free TV shows be found on the new site? When you mentioned you offer more free tv shows, I tried to look at what is being offered, but can't find anything. Clicking "Free" at the top of the screen, it will only display free movies.

The 50% increase along with the drop in the amount of points you get for 100$ is a double blow as you've lost 700 points before you watch anything and your only going to be able to watch half the shows you would of before the change with your remanding points

I'm lucky I'm good for a while as I have over 5000 points

On a different note: The site looks pretty but it is now harder for my mother to read and she has to physically get out of her chair and squint at the tv screen to be able to read the thin font. 10 Years fixed price for episodes is very generous considering most other websites increase the price every year to deal with cost .

I realise this is a business, but the change in the number of points received for exchanging $100 (from 2000 to 1300) will probably stop me using the site once I use up my current points.

I could cope with the increase to 3 pts for viewing a show, but both changes makes it not value for money anymore.  As I'm in the UK (with rubbish exchange rate due to idiot Brexiteers) whereas in June I could watch 15 episodes per £1.  If I bought points today it would get 5 episodes per £1.  

Even if I ignore the exchange rate and do the calculation is dollars, the site is massively more expensive.  From 10 episodes per $1 before the update to 4.3 episodes per $1 afterwards.  

This site always represented a cheap, convenient way to watch US tv shows (not interested in movies).  I'll probably be more selective with what I watch and run my points down, using free alternative sites wherever possible.

I wish the site good luck though - you've always treated the customers with respect, provided a good service, and the site mods have always been great to deal with.

EDIT - rereading Milks post #62 above - maybe the attitude of mods is also going downhill. Doesn't bode well for the site.

I don't like the new site at all, it looks like a word document with text dumped all over it. There is no link to this forum, no search in viewing history so takes ages to find what you are looking for. Things just seem to be all over the place! The old layout was perfect! Also not happy about the increase in price, I wouldn't have minded if the shows went up to three points if we were still getting the amount of points for our money that we were before as said above. I have used this site for years and years because of the quality and reliability of the service but with free alternatives such as kodi and showbox I think you may lose a few customers. Please bring back the black and old layout. If it ain't broke don't fix it! ????

agreed, I can't navigate with all the white...it's so much harder to see and so far I haven't found a single thing I'm looking for. I have faith in VIPTV, I believe they will work out the bugs but I do hope they listen to our concerns. As for the price increase? well I guess it's good that there is Hulu and Netflix to soften the blow on older shows. I still love this site and will stick it out for the time being.

With the old model we were able to login and see what updated from the day before. I do not see that now but I could be looking in the wrong place or more accurately not know where to look. It's just a suggestion but perhaps it would be helpful for those of you who are truly in the know about the new set up would make a thread explaining all the changes and how to navigate. It's not as self explanatory as one might imagine. I realize everything is brand new and even the moderators are learning the ins and outs but we the people/customer need some guidance

I still have not heard definitively if we can still purchase points with Amazon. I don't like that there's no link to this site anywhere. And I have another concern. I use the site for watching tv shows. I liked being able to get on and see which shows were most recently made available. I honestly don't care what's popular. I want to know what I missed from last night. I have seven kids. And my life is crazy busy. I don't have time to make a list of what was on last night. I'm all for change but some of the changes have not made it easier. I hope that can be corrected.

The timeline/toolbar at the bottom of the screen has lost its 'auto-hide' function in full screen mode. It tries to auto-hide, but pops back up immediately, so it flashes on and off...on and off...on and off, at a 2 second cycle rate.  Needless to say, this is a real buzzkill having to watch a show or movie with that toolbar always visible on screen, cycling on & off And no, my cursor is not hovering over the timeline/toolbar (which would normally suspend the auto-hide function). Once again, this problem only occurs when you watch in 'full-screen' mode.

YAY I feel like I might be needed around here again.. For those new people that I have not met, I am Dan AKA Dognxtdoor. I will pledge this to you that your concerns are being heard, and I will work with the mods that you know and love to communicate them to LBJ and make sure they can be addressed as soon as possible. Please do not feel you are being ignored, I believe this is some of the normal hickups from such a major change. I also feel that is why there is a free period in place to make it less painful of a transition. That being said, please keep expressing any new concerns or issues here. I cant wait to chat with each of you, I have mostly stayed back as I was not really needed anymore. However, I helped with our old java site before viptv, and then with viptv when it went live soooo long ago now. I agree there are alternatives, I also use kodi, netflix, and hulu, however we all know why we come back here, which is the quality of the videos, and the long term low price of almost 14 episodes per us 1 dollar. The comparison to something like AMAZON or other Pay per show sites is episodes being 1 dollar or more per episode. Even getthing 4 or more episodes per dollar is still reasonable as that can be almost 4 hours of streaming depending on the show for 1 dollar. Also there is no reason so search multiple apps and sources such as you do with kodi. Thanks for your time and patience.

I feel that the best feature of the old site was the recently released and see more sections with the most recently released 100 episodes (top left corner)... Now it just looks messy like a free streaming website with no order whatsoever. I also suspect most users already have a preferred app or website they use for streaming movies and I wish the focus had remained on making TV SHOWS more easily and readily accessible. I just don't see any upgrade being made here - there is nothing appealing or convenient about this new layout!

I also liked the old page where is showed a list of the latest updated episodes. I would always just check that page to see if there were shows that I was interested in.

After being a member of VIPTV for some time now, it is disappointing that these site downgrades were made in the name of customer service. The fact is that jumping to charging double as much is a huge increase. I am not saying that prices should not arise after time to compensate for expenses, if increased expenses do occur. However, I agree with a previous poster that a majority of us already have a movie site, and really liked this site for it's shows. The light background and arrangement of shows is a huge quality decrease. I really miss the expandable list of updated shows. Taking this away will cost the site money in the way of less views. I also have qualms with the new video player. The old player had the ability to pause and queue a video, however now this player has a limited queue. WHY? Those of us that travel have limited access to wifi and loved being able to play - pause - n queue so that we could enjoy playback at a later time without wifi. You state that you have the first 3 episodes free and free movies for 40 days. If history of this site tells us anything, it is that anything that is "free" is always temporary and that will not last too long. That is not a justifiable compensation for a huge hike in prices and a loss of a service we have all grown to love. Please work diligently to fix your errors. I am no feeling this change, nor do I think a majority of your viewers.

it was my understanding first 3 episode of every show of every season will free from now on. That was change made to free shows for this site. Free movies will be old movies ?.

With already having a place to watch movies I'm only watching them as a way to test it on all my devices but I need to get back to the TV shows as I'm getting to far behind
