About Indian Summers
Set against the sweeping grandeur of the Himalayas and tea plantations of Northern India, the drama tells the rich and explosive story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India, from both sides of the experience. But at the heart of the story lie the implications and ramifications of the tangled web of passions, rivalries and clashes that define the lives of those brought together in this summer which will change everything. It's the summer of 1932. India dreams of Independence, but the British are clinging to power. In the foothills of the Himalayas stands Simla; a little England where every summer the British power-brokers of this nation are posted to govern during the summer months.

Episode 1x01: (Feb/15/2015)
Ralph Whelan and the rest of the Indian Civil Service are making the annual move to Simla. Ralph's sister Alice also returns to India along with Cynthia Coffin. The train to Simla ends up being delayed after a young boy is discovered collapsed on the railway tracks. Dougie and Leena attempt to help the child leaving behind Dougie's angry wife Sarah.

Episode 1x02: (Feb/22/2015)
Following the shooting the fallout reverberates around Simla and a curfew is ordered. There is trouble for Ralph after a journalist shows attempts to find out the truth behind the assassination attempt. Tensions between Ralph and Alice increase.

Episode 1x03: (Mar/01/2015)
It's the Sipi Fair in Simla where the Indian community are allowed onto the grounds of the British Club. Ralph and Cynthia are more distracted by the upcoming inquest though. Ralph plots to get Aafrin onside by offering him a highly sought after promotion. Sooni ends up in serious trouble after she's arrested at a pro-independence rally.

Episode 1x04: (Mar/08/2015)
The is a lot of excitement in Simla as the Viceroy shows up for the first of his summer visits. Ralph is concerned that the only piece of evidence that linked Chandru Mohan to the Congress Party has vanished. Aafrin is in danger after he learns that Ralph has planned a search of the properties belonging to those who had access to the stolen piece of evidence.

Episode 1x05: (Mar/15/2015)
Ralph's efforts to take advantage of divisions amongst the Indian communities to further the British agenda become dangerous after he invites a member of the Untouchable community to an his engagement party held at Viceregal Lodge. Cynthia is stunned after a revelation is made by Eugene about his family's finances.

Episode 1x06: (Mar/22/2015)
There is more pressure on Ralph as Jaya reveals the real reason why she is came to Simla. A mountaineer saves Alice, Madeleine and Ronnie from a dangerous situation and manages to impress Alice. Alice has no clue though that he has an ulterior motive. He later lets her knows the truth about her past he leaves her in no doubt as to what exactly his silence will cost her.

Episode 1x07: (Mar/29/2015)
Simla is getting ready for the annual amateur dramatic performance, but the production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' ends up being overshadowed by the news that the body of a murder victim has been discovered in the river.

Episode 1x08: (Apr/05/2015)
The community turn out in force for the murder trial and Ian feels wracked with guilt about Ramu's arrest and he gets ready to act as his alibi. Sooni takes advantage of the trial to gain some much required legal experience.

Episode 1x09: (Apr/12/2015)
Simla gets ready for the arrival of a powerful Nawab. Madeleine receives some devastating news. Alice is scared after Sarah threatens to tell everybody at the Club that her husband is still alive. Sergeant Singh finds an incriminating note from Aafrin sent to Sita which he uses to blackmail Aafrin.

Episode 1x10: (Apr/19/2015)
The summer is coming to an end and Ramu Sood's fate lies in Ralph's hands. He has to decide whether to allow an innocent man hang. A vote takes place at the club to end the colour bar. Alice and Aafrin get ready to go public with their relationship. Sarah is upset as she gets ready to say goodbye to India as well as her husband.
