Extant Premieres on CBS on  July 09, 2014



Extant is a futuristic thriller that follows a female astronaut who tries to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.

"Extant is a very original concept with layers of humanity, mystery and surprise that reveal itself throughout the script," said Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment. "Our partnership with Amblin for Under the Dome showed that viewers respond to high-quality event programming in the summer. We look forward to building on that with Extant and offering CBS audiences another high-concept, unique event for summer television."

Steven Spielberg will executive-produce "Extant" alongside Greg Walker, Brooklyn Weaver, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Mickey Fisher, who will also pen the project.

I had a feeling Molly was pregnant with her being sick but finding out it was a solo space mission for thirteen months other than her hallucination does make you wonder how especially as their son Ethan is an android because they couldn't have children

It wasn't a surprise but it clear something happend up there and her erasing the 13 hour of footage was fast thinking.

But with her late partner not showing up on the footage before she deleted it then his ghost getting her pregnant would be amazing

Slighly better episode since we see what happen to the previous astranount when he went to space but director knowing what happen suggest they purposely put her up there

Harmon revealing the details from his secret solo mission which were similar to Molly was interesting and Sam trying to learn more of Molly's mysterious pregnancy by performing an ultrasound scan was great but going to a vets was amusing

I know the parents being worried about Ethan seemed cruel but with him going outside knowing he wasn't supposed to they may have something to worry about and you just knew Sam would be walking into trouble after they discovered the scan but managing to send the warning text was great

You just knew the scientist trying to hold his breath while removing his mask wouldn't end well and Molly attempting to find refuge with her estranged father was a little careless as they were bound to look for her there first

You can understand John starting to doubt Molly's mental state after being told she's not pregnant especially with the hallucinations and Sam lying about the pregnancy to protect her brother was sad but what a stroke of luck the dog bit her, Ethan suffers a serious setback was surprising but glad they could fix him

Ethan experiencing his first nightmare was surprising as he wasn't programmed that way and the way Kryger got his finger prints was impressive but it was obvious he was heading for trouble

Ethan's ability has evolved from his accident

I didn't know this was a double episode this week so it was a nice surprise. Ethan being able block anyone to mess with his system was impressive he is learning to self perservate which could be dangerous. Molly find out her kid is still alive trying to find out where he is was great.

That was one hell of a rescue attempt and Molly isn't giving up getting bottom of this and getting evidence is great and now molly is going risk her life to see him .

I though Ethan talking Japanese was great as the girls had no idea he could understand them and Derek turning up dead before talking to Molly was a little predictable but Molly confronting Sparks is asking for trouble considering how many people have died

So much for them wanting Ethan to learn and when he does their annoyed but blocking John was amusing and getting attacked for his bike should be a wake up call not to go off alone

Sparks running off with Molly's baby was predictable but I'm still not sure if I trust Yasumoto

You can understand why Sparks is determined to keep Molly's baby alive at any cost because of the visions of his deceased daughter but the fact he is willing to sacrifice others is tragic and Molly's flashback of the car accident were strange as there seemed to be two versions

It was one hell of blackmail to convince him to do it by emotionally by giving him visions of his dead daughter but the length he was willing to go was disturbing.

Yes but that warning to Molly in sky was smart and look Ethan doesn't realise that he trying damage him which is a shame .

Look like Ethan was close to blow up the lab but was talked down unintentionally was great close call but finding out who he was, was great now she knows Ethan has a bomb. . Come on i think we all knew she was an alien on the ship

What a good ending for this show if it hasn't get renewed i am very happy there was no cliffhanger and it's clear to me the writer knew they weren't coming back and yes i know they have left one little loose end but that one doesn't really bother me much.

It's a good job John talked Ethan into giving the phone and Molly returning to space in the hope to redirect the Seraphim away from Earth was going to be risky but Ethan saving Molly was nice

Molly being put in rehab clinic was predictable but at least they decided for government conspiracy angle instead of the sci-fi angle is an improvement   .
