Resurrection Premieres on ABC on March 09, 2014
The people of Arcadia, Missouri are forever changed when their deceased loved ones suddenly start to return. An 8-year-old American boy (Landon Gimenez) wakes up alone in a rice paddy in a rural Chinese province with no idea how he got there. Details start to emerge when the boy, who calls himself Jacob, recalls that his hometown is Arcadia, and an Immigration agent, J. Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps), takes him there. The home he claims as his own is occupied by an elderly couple, Henry (Kurtwood Smith) and Lucille Langston (Frances Fisher), who lost their son, Jacob, more than 30 years ago. While they look different, young Jacob recognizes them as his parents. Those closest to the family try to unravel this impossible mystery, including Sheriff Fred Langston (Matt Craven), whose wife, Barbara, drowned 30 years ago while trying to save Jacob. But this boy who claims to be the deceased Jacob knows secrets about his own death that no one else knows -- secrets that Fred's daughter, Maggie Langston (Devin Kelly), will begin to investigate and discover to be true.
Resurrection stars Omar Epps (House) as Martin, Matt Craven (Crimson Tide, A Few Good Men) as Fred, Devin Kelley (Chernobyl Diaries, The Chicago Code) as Maggie, Frances Fisher (Titanic) as Lucille, Kurtwood Smith (That 70s Show) as Henry, Sam Hazeldine (The Raven) as Caleb, Samaire Armstrong (Entourage, The O.C.) as Elaine, Mark Hildreth (Dragon Ball Z) as Tom and Landon Gimenez as Jacob.
Written by Aaron Zelman (Damages, The Killing), Resurrection is executive produced by Aaron Zelman, JoAnn Alfano, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Jon Liebman, Brillstein Entertainment and Plan B. The pilot was directed by Charles McDougall. Resurrection is produced by ABC Studios.

I am on fence with this one i am not sure if i am going like it or will it annoy me and i hate to say this i have feeling this will be a short lived series . Author: codebreaker Time: 3-9-2014 22:14

Well like i said i am not sure if this series will survive due ABC reputation on cancel any sci-fi show however based on this pilot i really wouldn't bother, in fact the promo for the next episode look so much better than this episode. It does have potential but that doesn't mean the episode was good. I know first episode are difficult to judge whether a show will be good or not .
Let's get into this, a boy come back to life after being dead for 30 years but everyone believes he can't be the same boy and than they have to investigate to verify boy's identity this made for an slow episode which was not much revelation but to drop cliffhanger at end was rather confusing was that same guy after the boy ?.
This is Omar Epps first show after House while he seem playing same character except he's an ICS agent who used to be a cop but his character is exactly same as he was in house which really annoyed me.
Overall it was a watchable episode i just wish they spend first 5 minutes showing the accident rather than use a flashback clip in this episode. Author: codebreaker Time: 3-15-2014 01:42
This has now been added to the flash site Author: codebreaker Time: 3-16-2014 19:47
Well this is getting interesting still no clue what going on but it has certainly kept my interest.
I would be suspicious if my dead father came back but look like he's hiding a secret Author: codebreaker Time: 3-23-2014 22:19
Author: codebreaker Time: 3-27-2014 06:01 Subject: 1x01 The Returned
This reminds me of the French show "Les Revenants" but being English language does make this more watchable, why the 8-year-old boy would wake up alone in a rice paddy in a rural Chinese after being dead for thirty two years was bizarre and looks like the circumstance surrounding his death have been fabricated, Elaine's father also returning was a nice ending Author: codebreaker Time: 3-27-2014 06:32 Subject: 1x02 Unearth
Jacob being ostracised at the park was sad and looks like Caleb's partner in crime has taken all the stash after he died, Maggie asking if he was her father was understandable but who was in the house? could it be her mother Author: codebreaker Time: 3-27-2014 07:06 Subject: 1x03 Two Rivers
I'm not surprised that the exhumation of Jacob's crypt doesn't solve any answers as he was also in the coffin and taking the label from his jumper to compare with the live Jacob was smart thinking and were does Rachael fit into the mystery Author: bala Time: 3-27-2014 07:14 Subject: Reply 12#12 codebreaker's post
That was interesting but it look like things are going to get interesting with dead people suddenly come back to life that 3 so far and i think they going to be more. Author: codebreaker Time: 3-27-2014 07:20 Subject: Reply 13#13 bala's post
I hope Maggie's mother will be returned to find out how she died in the river with Jacob Author: bala Time: 3-27-2014 07:27 Subject: Reply 14#14 codebreaker's post
That really would be great but consequence for her husband might be too much . You can't hate dead person but you can if they come back to life. Author: codebreaker Time: 3-27-2014 07:30 Subject: Reply 15#15 bala's post

He seems as he could be a little abusive which the daughter should know

Overall, interesting series. It's just moves ridiculously too slow. Author: shinny Time: 4-25-2014 14:45
This is on my list of shows to watch. I watched the original French version; Les Revenants (The Returned) which I thought was really well made. It was slow too but I think it worked. Author: Milks26 Time: 4-25-2014 15:15 Subject: Reply 26#26 shinny's post
I haven't seen the original.
Lately America TV stations have been remaking a lot of international TV shows, all of which have failed miserably. So maybe they've learned there lesson and followed the play book of the original.
Have you watched 'Broadchurch' (we have it on the site)? Fox is remaking there version to air this year or next.....I'm already rolling my eyes.

Yeah I watched it when it aired on ITV originally. I really liked it. Well, I love David Tennant so...Can't believe they are remaking it. Don't think I'll be watching that! Author: codebreaker Time: 4-27-2014 21:26

Well I had a feeling something was about go wrong but now things are truly screwed but what a cliffhanger and given that we are not sure if this will get renewed or not i am not sure how i feel about that because it certainly ramification on lead character if he's is . Tom telling his wife was the right thing to do but it was obvious he was struggling with his feelings over the return of his former love Rachael and Maggie examining Jacob was interesting Author: codebreaker Time: 6-9-2014 14:31 Subject: Reply 23#23 bala's post
Elaine giving the money back that Caleb stole was great but the way he disappeared from his cell was surprising and finding out Rachael was pregnant when she died was a shock Author: Milks26 Time: 6-9-2014 14:32 Subject: Reply 31#31 bala's post
Well, its been renewed . Although, the show moves slow like a snail I'm still intrigued to see what they have in store, and after the cliffhanger, it should only get better.
Tom/Rachel/Wife interesting scenario especially for a Pastor. I liked what happened in the end when his sister in law's place was the safest haven he knew. That was fun.
I reckon that Rachel is still pregnant after her 2nd death since she came back that way.Author: codebreaker Time: 6-9-2014 14:59 Subject: 1x06 Home
Using Rachael's pregnancy to get to Tom was evil and the fact his wife was the one who betrayed him isn't going to do their marriage any good but the vigilante take matters into his own hands was predictable Author: codebreaker Time: 6-9-2014 15:25 Subject: 1x07 Schemes of the Devil
Tom losing Rachael for a second time was sad but returning so quickly this time was great and I hope Gary isn't let off lightly because she was dead before Author: codebreaker Time: 6-9-2014 15:50 Subject: 1x08 Torn Apart
I thought the army was their to quarantine the visitors and not bringing supplies but trust the Sheriff turn his back on them after his wife chose the other man Author: codebreaker Time: 8-3-2014 10:12
Oh sweet! I'm happy to see the show is getting a second season.
Looks interesting...his Mom is coming back too.

Decent premiere...in pace with the series overall.
Interesting addition to Marty's storyline I hope the connection to his parents is discovered since we saw the Reverend taking them to his in-laws house. Author: bala Time: 9-30-2014 10:29 Subject: Reply 43#43 Milks26's post
I was surprised about that revelation but there were so many clue i can't believe i didn't figure it out Author: codebreaker Time: 10-6-2014 02:16
Yeah those skeletons were a surprise but i have no idea why she wanted to see them? Author: bala Time: 10-13-2014 07:53 Subject: 2x03 Multiple
We now know what she did dumping them all in the lake must have taken ages but finding out those bones were multiples were a surprise and you can understand why he shot his brother but brother coming back was a nightmare Author: Milks26 Time: 10-15-2014 19:40 Subject: Reply 49#49 bala's post
2 x 3
So, Arcadia is the fuel driving the returned.
Just last week Maggie told Marty that he would be forced to do something just like this. It was for a good cause but he can't even tell her about it, at least not yet. Author: codebreaker Time: 10-19-2014 23:25
Spectacular family dinner. Lucille has been holding in those words for 32 years and she finally got to let them out with a vengeance. Nicely done!
Interesting to know that Henry knew about the affair.
Okay, so last week was not the first that Mikey has died. So, why did Carl act so surprised that he returned. Did he think that 3 bullets was what was needed to finally get the job done? Author: codebreaker Time: 10-26-2014 22:57
Another good episode. Oh Man! Bellamy was going to tell Maggie that he was returned. Ma Langston is so evil but you can't hid from Jacob. Author: codebreaker Time: 11-2-2014 22:55
That family dinner was amusing to say the least but ma langston setting that argument up by whisper stuff in her ear Author: bala Time: 11-3-2014 08:39 Subject: Reply 54#54 Milks26's post
You will be a surprised consider he still a child she seems to be an expert manipulator so i expect that she find a way to make Jacob understand Author: bala Time: 11-3-2014 08:42 Subject: 2x06 Afflictions
So much for Bellamy being a goner they found a way to save him but giving those medicine to Maggie was risky but having 1 left over was great but that only buys him 12 hours before he disappears. I told you she would figure out a way to get Jacob on her side but his mother has every right to be suspicious. Author: Milks26 Time: 11-5-2014 07:18 Subject: Reply 58#58 bala's post
I think he kept more than 1 vial - he's supposed to take a full bottle but just rationing it out.
Overall, good episode. I'm still waiting for Bellamy to reveal his true status to Maggie. I hope that Ms Forrester allows Bellamy to take his sister with him when the time comes since he missed the opportunity to truly met his parents. The investor and his Grandpa's intentions for the Langstons should be interesting. Author: codebreaker Time: 11-10-2014 00:20
Racheal refuse treatment turned out to be a good thing as the baby managed cure her was great revelation Author: bala Time: 12-26-2014 00:52 Subject: 2x08 Forsaken
This is getting out of hand as anti-Returned rhetoric rises as the virus spreads; Bellamy and Sheriff Fred make every effort to track down the True Living members before they can do any more harm but guess it was too late for paster Author: bala Time: 12-26-2014 00:55 Subject: 2x09 Aftermath
With paster dead no-one know where racheal is because she been kidnapped by crazy ex-wife but racheal knocking her out was amusing Author: codebreaker Time: 1-4-2015 23:04
I read the news this morning. Too bad - it was a decent show - started watching from he beginning
I think the writers saw the writing on the wall though, since they kinda wrapped the show up in season 2 finale, but still left an opening just in case it did get renewed.
