Black Sails Premieres on Starz on January 25, 2014
715. The Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean is at its apex. The former British colony of New Providence Island is now lawless territory, controlled by the most notorious pirate captains in history. The most feared among them is CAPTAIN FLINT.
But as the British Navy returns to these waters, threatening to exterminate Flint and his crew, another side of him emerges. Driven by deep, complicated, even romantic motives, Flint allies himself with the formidable ELEANOR GUTHRIE, daughter of the local smuggling kingpin who turns the pirates’ loot into profits. Together, they forge a plan to hunt the ultimate prize, and by winning it, stave off reclamation of their home to ensure their survival.
Arrayed against them are a series of opponents: rival captains, jealous of Flint's power; Eleanor's father, whose ambitions for the island conflict with his daughter’s; and a young sailor, JOHN SILVER, recently recruited onto Flint's crew, who will somehow manage to constantly undermine his captain’s agenda.

Mary must of known sending her brother after her husband, Teach would end badly for her brother and I suspected the abandoned ship was a trap but not from another ship and you just knew they wouldn't surrender Author: codebreaker Time: 5-23-2016 04:06
The Walrus crew heading into the storm to escape was a risky move considering they were damaged and Eleanor partnership with Rogers was never going to be easy Author: codebreaker Time: 5-23-2016 04:47
Max getting the heads up about the upcoming arrival of the fleet of ships as it gave them some time to get ready to fight back against an invasion and Flint killing those two for stealing rations was a hell of a way to get the message to the others but fishing for shark in a rowing boat was amusing and the bounty on Vane should make things interesting Author: codebreaker Time: 5-23-2016 05:45

Letting Rogers's men take the money was a sneaky way to get him off guard while moving Rackham but trust Max to figure it was a trap and flipping the coach could of killed Rackham Author: codebreaker Time: 5-23-2016 11:47
Eleanor hearing some home truths about her father from Vane was bound to hurt but with her delivering the news about how he will die he had to fight back, Flint and Silver getting ready for war was fascinating as they also had to try and delay Vane's execution but him not wanting to be saved was surprising Author: codebreaker Time: 5-23-2016 12:17
Flint and Silver's battle on the beach was a disaster as they were out numbered but retreating in the hope they would follow was understandable and with Dobbs having them on the run was impressive Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 17:01
Forcing them to run aground on the sunken ship wreak certainly put them at a disadvantage and Silver going down with their ship was tragic at first but I had a feeling he would some how survive Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 17:02
Silver surviving the shipwreck only to be captured by a bounty hunter was rotten luck and the fact he wanted a false confession was disturbing as he was willing to kill to get it but Silver saving his life should change things, fighting amongst themselves was a waste of manpower Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 17:03
Silver was lucky the Red Coats didn't get him and Black Beard was right to suspect taking over that ship was a trap but Jack putting up the white flag was surprising, Black Beard surviving that punishment for so long before being exacted was tragic but the fight was awesome Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 17:05
Bonny and Rackham having to witness those unfair fights with the guy being twice the size using a sledge hammer was sickening but at leased Bonny managed to free the rest before being beaten to a pulp and being asked to trade Max for 20 men was surprising, Eleanor underhanded offer was bizarre but I guess something will go wrong before she gets off the island Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 17:06

I must admit I didn't think Silver would find her alive after it looked like she had her throat cut and Rackham getting to confront Rogers was great but I thought he would die fighting Author: Milks26 Time: 2-20-2018 09:52
S1 was good
S2 was great
S3 was terrible when compared to 2, it was just barely watchable. I'm happy that Vane's death was the same as the real life man. That part of history should not be alterted
S4 was okay, but Silver is assumed dead....then Madi is assumed dead. Redundant. But, wait a minute, after all this years low and behold Thomas Hamilton is still alive. Man, Flint's a lucky man. He lost the wife/woman but gained the husband/man in the end. Funny!
The show had some good characters . Loved Rackham, Anne, Silver, Flint, Billy's spiral towards the end of S3 & 4 was sad to watch and Gates death was tough. Max's character got ridiculous with each passing season. She and Anne had no chemistry not like what she had with Eleanor. The show dropped the ball there. I can buy a prostitute willing and dealing to rise above her station, but the show wanted her to be another Eleanor and she was so far from it.
