True Detective Premieres on HBO on January 12, 2014



In 2012, Louisiana State Police Detectives Rust Cohle and Martin Hart are brought in to revisit a homicide case they worked in 1995. As the inquiry unfolds in present day through separate interrogations, the two former detectives narrate the story of their investigation, reopening unhealed wounds, and drawing into question their supposed solving of a bizarre ritualistic murder in 1995. The timelines braid and converge in 2012 as each man is pulled back into a world they believed they'd left behind. In learning about each other and their killer, it becomes clear that darkness lives on both sides of the law.

Written and created by Nic Pizzolatto ('The Killing') and directed by Cary Fukunaga ('Sin Nombre,' 'Jane Eyre'), 'True Detective' stars Woody Harrelson as Martin Hart and Matthew McConaughey as Rust Cohle. The series also stars Michelle Monaghan (‘Mission: Impossible III') as Maggie, Hart's wife; Kevin Dunn ('Veep') as Major Quesada, the supervising officer in 1995; and Tory Kittles ('Sons of Anarchy') and Michael Potts ('The Wire') as Dets. Papania and Gilbough, the investigators now probing Hart and Cohle for answers.

After watching this my interest peaked as this looks like a different take on a crime drama and why the chose a location were the wild life was a problem was bizarre

Rustin turning up drunk at Martin's for the first time was bad but the look back at the murder of a prostitute was disturbing but it did look like some sort of cult murder

Well i like the fact both of them are completely different from each other but seem get on well during the case and this slightly different from normal cop show since it look like something went on and they did something that put them under investigation  . It's very slow-paced

I thought Martin's mistress would be pissed at her gift but reading him his Miranda rights before using them on him was amusing and Rustin using violence to find the whore house was sickening

After seeing Martin's daughters drawing I'm not surprised they wanted to talk to her considering her age but loosing his temper because Rustin had cut his lawn was strange as he's the one who has been cheating on his wife but the way he attract his mistresses date was sickening

Martin only has himself to blame for his wife walking out and making a scene at the hospital was only going to make it worse

Martin discovering the girls in the trailer must of been a surprise for him to shot the suspect in the head but his partner running into one of their own traps was karma and their cover-up was impressive

I was surprised he was cheating on his wife because his wife is actually nice person and Rustin tried to be nice first time but they choose not co-operate so that was his only option. . Remember they are tring to solve a murder

Well i know what you mean but you know she eventually find out about his mistress but the fact that he attacked her date was awful.

Well he shouldn't pissed off her in the courtroom but ending was crazy shoot out and hiding from the cop was most exciting thing that has happened so far in this series.

The cover up was certainly impressive but the fact they didn't catch the killer was a surprise. Martin's Teenage daughter caught in the car with two boys was disturbing but calling your own daughter a slut was taking it a bit too far but look like separation when there were younger had some sort of effect on her first drawing and now this.

i can't believe who Matin's wife screwed to get even that taking it a bit too far so the fight between them was bound to get personal and he should of known better leave his phone unattended with those pictures . I can't wait for conversation at the end because it does look Rustin has been doing something

I honestly don't see what the big deal about this series is and this was average start very slow and boring. Just because you have movie stars as actor for your show doesn't make it good.
