Chicago PD Premieres on NBC on January 08, 2014



District 21 of the Chicago Police Department is made up of two distinctly different groups. There are the uniformed cops who patrol the beat and go head-to-head with the city's street crimes. And there's the Intelligence Unit, the team that combats the city's major offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond.

Leading the Intelligence team is Sergeant Hank Voight, a man not against skirting the law in the pursuit of justice. Demanding and tough, only those who can take the heat survive under Voight's command. Take Detective Antonio Dawson - despite his troubled history with his boss, Dawson has ambitions of running the unit... so if that means facing off against Voight every day, he'll persevere.

From the street cops with dreams of moving up to the elite crew who are already in, "life on the job" is a daily challenge. The enormous responsibilities that come with the territory take an emotional toll, as we'll find when we follow the personal lives of our characters outside the walls of District 21.

Well i didn't realise there were planning on making spin-off but i don't think it's going to be successful because there is way too many cop dramas on tv it's getting a bit ridiculous.

I miss the day when they actually had some variety in tv shows

I hate to admit this but this was a very good pilot and some nice cameos from Chicago Fire.

What a way to hit the ground running with Carter bad guy who chops off heads.

I figure out mother cop would end up being killed why else would they show her kids and husband in first few minutes if there weren't going kill her off?. .

Erin saving her partner's life by stopping him from going inside was quick thinking as there was a body inside and how embarrassing thinking he could take on the cop to impress his mates but Julia dying because they failed to share information was tragic

Another great episode with Antonia trying everything in his power to rescue his son and Void trying push him over the edge but he didn't take the bait and they eventually rescued him

Voight encouraging Antonio to deliver some of his own punishment was annoying but the bus rescue was impressive and the drive played a great part in making the bus look like it had engine failure

The undercover operation to get the guns was risky but what a great result and continuing the kidnapping from Fire was nice as it keeps the the two shows linked

Nadia kicking Kyle in the privates was amusing and Burgess trying to do the hoarder a favour was nice but who would of thought she would have a boy locked in the cellar

So much for Atwater and Burgess being excited about being given the new patrol car as the broken wing mirror cost the $250 but the second one was rotten luck and having to run to the next call was amusing as it was for the theft of a loaf of bread

Well saying that to uncover officer was really revealing the way they have turn light out in there eyes to make it look convincing but having to do drugs when she was trying to be clean was just bad luck but that guy was one hell of a fighter knocking all cop outs that were trying to stop them

What dumb phone thieves stealing from cops twice but that was a surprisingly big operation in repacking the phones

The suspected paedophiles father killing his son and trying to frame Jay was evil but Jay harassing them did make it easy, the cop dying was sad but coming in like that was asking for trouble but Voight kneecapping the guy responsible was great

What a massacre during eight million hoist and setting the guy on fire in his car was quick but Burgess stepping up to help and prove herself to Voight was risky considering how many have died already

This continue from yesterday Chicago Fire episode find out the bombers were white guys because of what happened to their dad was sad .

Maybe it was just me this felt like they testing another spin off show Chicago M.D with the amount hospital scenes in both these show episode . We will find out in September if this will happen or not

Using Imogene's liver to save Zoe was emotional and Voight should of accidentally dropped the bomber from the roof

Voight being plaid by the prisoner was surprising and Antonio being pissed was understandable but after seeing his son I had a feeling what he said to the kids mother was a code for a break out

Well i think it was a good reason because of work they do they keep emotion in check her partner seem to good at that so i think voight made a good decision with him. . Let's face it he is built as well

Burgess arresting the robber after posing as the store owner was impressive and Voight confronting Jin about his secret meetings with Stillwell was bound to happen sooner or later but him being killed was a surprise, Lindsay asking Voight for help about her ex and her past was her only call

Burgess meeting her new partner, Sean didn't go well as tension was high from the start as he was expecting Tim not Kim but at leased recognising one of the dead guys was useful and I'm glad Voight didn't let Jin's murder go unsolved but the informant getting a reward was great as she wasn't expecting it

Voight informants all getting heads up about him made his job harder but having his friend killed was sad and you could understand why son decided to go out to kill them for shaking down his dad

Odd title for an episode but case of missing teenager turned more deadly when the driver was injuried and finding out it was payback for one father rip-off them was sad consequence but impressed that teenage girl decided jump through the window that was so quick thinking

Platt putting Roman and Burgess on gun buy-back gun duty was interesting as they found away around the no questions asked and the reason for the kidnapping was a surprise as his own daughter got caught up in it

Finding out protect witness got shot was sad and now they are back to square 1.

That idiot thinking he could fly and fall to ground was well deserved but thanks Erin's brother they identify the Person in charge and him working for DCFS was shocking .

The police respect for killed cop was a nice ending and i am glad Erin's brother is staying

The shooting in Chicago was a good way to get Voight back for the third part of the crossover and the hospital killer falling to his death was poetic justice but Olivia getting Voight to give her five minutes to get him to talk made a nice change as there was no violence and the fallen officers farewell was awesome

You just knew something would happen while Antonio was buying cigarettes but the cashier saying they will kill you was amusing  and you can understand why Layla was a suspect but having a fall guy while she get away clean was impressive, using the tow truck to rip the door off was great

That was a risky robbery but at leased the team got the drugs off the street and Alvin took a hell of a risk killing the drug dealer before rescuing his wife from his brother, Sean having to work with his ex was a bad move that may cost Kim her life and Erin will be missed

Lindsay enlisting her old squad with her first case with the task force was understandable and Burgess being back on the job seemed a little soon but Platt having the opportunity to partner up with Roman was productive

Bob being the first to arrive on the scene of the double murder was interesting as there was tension between Voight and himself and the ex boyfriend being responsible was a surprise as he helped find the boy but glad the father wasn't responsible and I had a felling Erin would come back

I have to say he was an impressive arsonist the way he sneak out blew up the cop car while there were watch him was priceless but going after Gabriel was really unexpected because he was very smart he should just wait it out like he did with his fires. I agree it was relief they killed him but if he got arrested they could bought him back later on.
