The Originals Premieres on The CW on October 15, 2013



Family is power. The Original Vampire family swore it to each other a thousand years ago. They pledged to remain together, always and forever. Now, centuries have passed and the bonds of family are broken. Time, tragedy and hunger for power have torn the Original Family apart. When Klaus Mikaelson, the original vampire-werewolf hybrid, receives a mysterious tip that a plot is brewing against him in the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, he returns to the city his family helped build. Klaus’ questions lead him to a reunion with his diabolical former protégé, Marcel, a charismatic vampire who has total control over the human and supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans. Determined to help his brother find redemption, Elijah follows Klaus and soon learns that the werewolf Hayley has also come to the French Quarter searching for clues to her family history, and has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie. Tensions between the town’s supernatural factions are nearing a breaking point as Marcel commands his devoted followers and rules with absolute power. For Klaus, the thought of answering to his powerful protégé is unthinkable, and he vows to reclaim what was once his – the power, the city and his family. While they wait to see if their sister Rebekah will leave Mystic Falls and join them, Klaus and Elijah form an uneasy alliance with the witches to ensure that New Orleans will be ruled by THE ORIGINALS once again.

Well this was a great background episode on how Klaus meet Marcel but knowing Rebecca was in love with him but than finding out he chose being vampire over her must of hurt. Hailey giving Rebecca the dragger was rather good gesture of trust and looks like Klaus does actually care about baby after Hailey said that she was thinking of drinking poison .

Klaus plan was rather elaborate

Interesting flashbacks when how Klaus first meet Marcel and Rebekah meeting her match in Davina was a surprising twist

I've never seen TVD so I'm coming in this fresh.  I enjoyed the first two episodes.  Its a lot like jerry Springer though. Some FAMILY drama!!  Wow. Hahaha.

Klaus turning one of Marcel guys to save a witch and cause a rift in his camp only to come back at the eleventh hour and save him was a great plan to get on his side

I am certainly liking this spin-off more than Vampire Diaries

Klaus is a evil genius he has so many plans i can't wait to see what he does next   .

Davina is a lot more smarter than Marcel when she refuses to hand back  Elija to Klaus

I got really upset when I saw "tim" the fiddler go over the side of the balcony. There was a squeal and everything.

not sure how I feel about Klaus.  good guy or bad he keeps it interesting.

so glad to know why devina is such a powerful witch.  The back ground was good. I'm hoping with Elijah back the originals will be more of a unit.

Do we think Haley's parents are in the Bayou.

Hayley felling the stab in the neck was interesting but the blood should of been a early warning it was Sophie related instead of waiting until she felt ill and talk about a close call, Elijah killing the witch himself was great

I really feel sorry for Klaus he really can't get a break you would think after becoming King he would be happy but with everyone planning against him no wonder he so distrustful. You really got love Davina what a way ruin Klaus plan for Camie   . After everything he tried protect her in one moment she undone everything he done to her .

Can't wait for the return making Davina next big challenge was a smart move let hope actress can handle that role because she has a tough performances to do if she's going impress me.

Marcel being the one to pick up the coin was a surprise but tragic so many lives were lost with him getting back his kingdom and Hayley was lucky Eve was able to stop Elijah

Camille leaving herself post-it notes to herself was clever way to remember after Klaus compelled her and the human faction taking matters into their own hands with the fire bomb was bound to have deadly consequence

The CW is having some bold fun with ABC Family with an ad that urges Pretty Little Liars fans to change the channel. The broadcast network is launching a commercial for its freshman vampire drama The Originals that mocks cable rival PLL — and the ad will actually air during the ABC Family series

I find it hard to believe that Rebekah couldn't handle the wolves... But whatever.  Loved that there's a big bad.  I thought Celeste loved Elijah.  Whe. Did that change.  Hmmm.

Just when you think there could make matters worse Klaus learning about Rebecca betrayal must been hard but great flashback episode to what happened

The flashbacks to 1919, were Rebekah worked in a sanatorium was interesting and Elijah having try and unravel the mystery of the names tattooed on his body was interesting but the end with Elijah stabbing Klaus to save Rebekah was a surprise

Every episode is how one sibling is hurting the other and then Elijah tries to fix everything.  I love the flashbacks but hate the constant sibling rivalry/animosity.  It would be better is they spaced the hatred between episodes.

I really enjoyed the flashbacks and Marcel not leaving with Rebekah was strange.  I would have thought he would jump to go off with her.   I thought Elijah exiling Marcel was his way of giving marcel an out to be with Rebekah and save face infront of his "crew".  Apparently that's not the case.

Rebekah's character leaving was a shock and will unnecessarily strain the show.

Things are bounds not to go to plan but hailey demanding wolves by part of treaty was bound cause problem and to be honest the only reason why she relevant is because she's pregnant she add nothing to the show

Hayley was lucky she left after the first explosion and the fact it was one of their own trying to teach them a lesson was sickening but Camille almost loosing her life after what happened to her uncle was surprising

Marcel helping to save the baby was nice and Davina having Mikael at her command was karma but Genevieve being killed by Hayley was great, Rebekah taking Hope to keep her safe was a nice ending

So much for trying kill fin with a sister like that it look like he never going die and i just don't get why she is willing to protect him while letting her other brother die . The wedding went off without any trouble which was a surprise but klaus thinking he can control werewolves will backfire for sure

So we finally meet Dahlia portrayed by Claudia Black who a great actress but the fact she was able defeat them with ease was amusing but so much father and son reunion i had feeling he would eventually kill his father but not like that.

i seem to be the only one comment on shows even i keep forgetting to post my opinions every week but this was an intresting episode since we got see Dahlia back story but who would thought Klaus would side with her by the end.
