The Tomorrow People Premieres on The CW on October 09, 2013



They are the next evolutionary leap of mankind, a generation of humans born with paranormal abilities — the Tomorrow People. Stephen Jameson stands at the crossroads between the world we know and the shifting world of the future. Up until a year ago, Stephen was a “normal” teenager — until he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep, never knowing where he might wake up. Now, Stephen’s issues have gone far beyond the usual teenage angst, and he is beginning to question his sanity. In desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with the Tomorrow People — John, Cara and Russell — a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication. The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. Led by Dr. Jedikiah Price, Ultra sees the Tomorrow People as a very real existential threat from a rival species, and the outcast group has been forced to hide out in an abandoned subway station just beneath the surface of the human world. Trading in secrets, Jedikiah offers Stephen the chance for a normal life with his family and best friend, Astrid, if he will help in the struggle to isolate and eradicate the Tomorrow People. On the other hand, Cara, John and Russell offer Stephen a different type of family and a home where he truly belongs. Unwilling to turn his back on humanity or the world of the Tomorrow People, Stephen sets out on his own path — a journey that could take him into the shadowy past to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance, or into an unknown future with THE TOMORROW PEOPLE.

After watching the fall preview show this is on the top of The CW's new shows as the The Originals doesn't feel like a new show

I think there was too much going on in the pilot. I know they have to set it all up but it felt a bit rushed. Saying that, I really enjoyed it. I hope it lasts the distance because it could be very good, if it's given a chance.

Well i was excited to watch this episode but i just don't like the main character which could be my problem. He's not very likeable in this episode and his confused look throughout the episode was rather annoying. Despite this, this series has potential however i highly doubt it will ever achieve this potential without better writing and direction.

The preview ruin all surprises in this episode but not all of them but i am surprised he decided join the bad guys because of his uncle. There are few plot holes in this series but if you overlook them you will enjoy this show.

It's obvious his dad isn't dead since he probably teleported as the car explodes.

I liked the pilot. It reminded me of a movie I once saw (of which I don't remember the title). But it didn't get good critics, so I'm a bit worried about this show. I hope they don't cancel it too soon cause I would hate to get invested to end up without a satisfying end (again).

I don't think they had a very original way of introducing the characters though and i think that's too bad. Overall the pilot kind of hints at everything that will happen in this season a bit too obvious. I can already predict a lot of it and that's a shame.

I wasn't surprised when he joined his uncle. He wants to corrupt the organisation from the inside out and not go into hiding like his old man did. I wonder though how they will keep the show moving forward.
The not being able to kill part was a  nice twist. And the uncle is a real sociopath.

How embarrassing for Stephen waking up in someone else's bed and joining Jedikiah was a little predictable as he will turn out to be their eye and ears on the inside and hopefully keep the others safe

Well look like he got his first taste of being a bad guy working for his uncle but thinking he could go back to them was bound to create problems but Kara and guy sparring with each other was rather amusing to watch.

You got to feel sorry for his partner getting canned because he couldn't control Stephen

but you know he would get canned cause the same kind of thing happened in the previous episode.
I wonder if Steven heared his uncle talking to the brain lady; it certainly looked that way. And I wonder if the uncle took the Dchip out of the watch before handing it back.

Stephen hearing the girls thoughts about being dead in 48 hours would be worrying and what happened to Cara 5 years ago was surprising but Stephen risking his powers to save Cara was great and in return she saved Emily but Astrid seeing Stephen disappear will make things awkward

What Cara's father did was unbelievable considering the guy she accidentally killed was going to rape her and his excuse that it was for her own protection, what wrong with a father protecting his daughter when she needs him the most

It was my understanding that the father was scared of how powerful the kid's family is and realise he couldn't protect his daughter so for her own protection he had no choice but let her runaway.

I am more curious whether her sister is normal or a tomorrow people?-why else put her in flashback if there are not going to introduce her later on in the series.

Well that one hell of a secret John is keeping from everyone but i am glad we know why he left Ultra and his back story was good i really hope each episode different character back-story.

John's past with his foster father was disturbing and the fact he was stealing food for the others will his foster father drank was sickening and you couldn't of blamed him if he used the knife

Well Stephen thinking he was responsible for the trap when it turned out to be new guy was sad but i have say his punishment was very surprising because you really didn't think she had in her to do what she did to him. .

Finally this episode actually made this series much better because we see them actually deal what happens when you betray the good guys the fact she did it was great. It was a harsh punishment but consider people die i felt it was justified.

I can't believe Stephen finally told his best friend about his ability you just know now she will be his weakness because she's human.

John and Cara going head to head for the chance to go topside was great but John was right to worry as it was a trap and with Stephen keep acting suspicious around Astrid she was bound to find out sooner or later so better coming from him

This was a good background episode for Russell and finding out his dad passed away was sad but getting into a bar fight was risky but lucky they were let go.  The new breakout being sister of agent was bad luck but she choose to protect her at the end but it was sad to see her dead . She wasn't a bad person .

Stephen and Russell being hustled by Piper was amusing as they were hustling themselves but finding and loosing her sister was sad along with the news about Russell's father no matter how hard he was on him seven years ago loosing him before they made up was terrible, the cop detaining them after the bar fight I thought was wrong because he never identified himself as a cop

Stephen making the most of things with the ladies was bound to bit him in the ass and Cara confessing to sleeping with Stephen was surprising but catching the rapist was great considering he had his powers suppressed

Not sure how i feel about this episode but clear to me this series is rather desperate i mean seriously no much happened in fact nothing major happening and everything that happened in this episode was average don't get me wrong the fake killing your girlfriend was impressive but as soon we saw her in bunker we really didn't need a flashback showing what happen at least give the audience intelligence to figure these out without spoon feeding us all twist through flashback?. ,

Well John telling the tomorrow people the truth but in unexpected twist they decided to replace him with Kara as new leader of the tomorrow people and you can clearly see she not exactly as good as john at planning she almost got captured if it wasn't John coming back to save her and uncle drooping Stephen was rather amusing but what cliffhanger with his mother boyfriend who seem to be a tomorrow people .

Kara certainly more emotional which going to get everyone in trouble

The helping hand to escape was awesome but what a drastic measure and I'm not surprised they were unhappy about John lying but he had done a good job in protecting them up to now, shooting Stephen was a waste of time as it didn't throw Jedikiah of the trail

Well getting background on Kara life before she meet the tomorrow people was interesting and Russel getting seriously beaten up was sad and it look like Stephen new teamwork is too good at following him and next week episode get them in trouble. Seriously how careless is Stephen

The Founder's deal to trade his daughter for Astrid's safety sounded good but there had to be more to it as she was to eager to have her powers taken away and Stephen using his card after quitting was stupid, Stephen's mom saving Astrid and her family was great

Well i have say this not great returning episode way they dealt shocking cliffhanger was rather disappointing and than twin case but Kara hire twin to kill Jedica was rather reckless . Another shocking secret left at end

Well trying to be super heroes was going to be tricky but what unexpected relationship for Stephen i really didn't see that one coming but finding out what happened to her parents was sad and explain her attitude but thinking Ultra was good guys was disturbing.

Look like no hiding Stephen involvement with the tomorrow people

Well taking out the founder had unexpected consequence but seriously deflect the bullet towards his daughter was stupid because he knew where she was and could easily deflect the bullet towards other direction.  If he really was as powerful as we were meant to believe he could easily simple stop the bullet like Stephen did in the pilot episode.

Well the breakout exposing his power as magic was smart but the founder actually putting a tracer in him and letting him go was interesting because he earned Stephen trust . Whatever that machine is i don't think it's good

I saw Haley doing that.  She went from anti Stephen to "yay I want to sleep with Stephen" in a heart beat.

I'm surprise more of the Tomorrow People haven't used their abilities as magic to make extra money and Jedikiah forcing Stephen to reveal his abilities to his brother was disturbing, I'm not sure if I trust Hillary at the moment and it hard to tell who is the worst between the Founder and Jedikiah

The Founder picks the most inappropriate time to turn up unannounced, it's as if he knew Hillary was on her way and she was to keen to allow Cara to read her mind but with the Founder knowing about Roger they had to move him and looks like I was right not to trust Hillary but after that stunt Stephen will believe anything she says

Roger's raising the glasses to a family toast was a nice party trick and John taking Roger's place was great as it spoiled the Founder's plan but not so good for John and what Hillary did to make a mends was surprising

well they summed up the whole story line in the first season.  Also if they had brought dad back closer to mid season finale, the battle could have raged for quite a number of episodes.  Not very good planning on their part.

At least we get an idea it would been worse if they bought him back as season finale and it get cancelled this way they can wrap up storyline if they won't get renewed
