WPC 56 is a drama series which follows the fortunes of police officer Gina Dawson, who faces a dificult battle to create a successful career for herself during the male-dominated world of the 1950s.

Gina being asked to make tea was amusing and typical for the era and giving her an office that looked like a broom closet was cruel and I can't believe she fell flat on her face chasing a suspect but catching them later was great as he was an informant that was let go earlier, the attack on the young woman was interesting as the it was obvious the victim was lying about who attack her but another attack while their suspect is locked up will be interesting

Sgt Fenton is a nasty piece of work after the way he treated the call girl who reported her attack while they had a suspect locked up and trust Eddie to arrest Sgt  Pratt's son, Jack's wife bringing his diner to the pub was amusing

After Fenton threatened to ruin Gina's careerer I was glad his sting on the bank raid went wrong but disappointed he fond them later and a third attack on young ladies because Fenton arrested the wrong man was diabolical

Eddie getting stabbed was unfortunate but it could of been a lot worse if Gina wasn't there and Jack having his wife committed was the right thing to do as she was going of the rails for a while, Fenton giving money to the young mother looked good but knowing it was some of the money from the bank job is sickening and Cathy getting slapped by her boyfriend was sad

Gina turning down Franks proposal was predictable as it was her mother pushing for it and Gina's putting her life in danger in the attempt to lure the killer out by going under cover was risky but after Pete spoiled the sting and leaving her behind was beyond belief and Jack's wife committing suicide was tragic

She did say she wouldn't care if they stick her in the broom cupboard but she did seem rather eager to be a cop but what did she expect being only female cop in that station . Sending her out on a dog case was amusing but getting dog and suspect was great.

The way they treat the female officer in this is so different to Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars

Jack wife does seem rather desperate trying make herself happy i feel like she heading for mental breakdown .

Well so glad women decided to actually stop Donald from going to jail for 50 years but that was a close call thank Gina talking to her.

Wow if after all that Gina doesn't get the respect but having been caught kissing a married man made it not as good. That punch was well deserved.

What a good start to second season who would thought case of runaway would cause so much trouble but a very tragic ending for Shawn . Fental cheating on his wife with madam was a surprise . Nightingale making an impression when call back for position of secretary was amusing consider she rather outgoing.

Well this was average episode but Dawson going Undercover Madox club was risky but she got the evidence she needed. .

Susie getting a call back was surprising as she was a little forward but the fact he only remembered her wearing green was amusing and the gang of teddy boys attacking Sean with the police about was stupid but him dying saving Tracey was tragic

Pickpocket Brody thinking his luck had changed was amusing but what karma that the purse was full of counterfeit notes and what a shame the boxing match was fixed as Michael winning must of cost Lenny a packet and you just knew he would pay for it but Sidney loosing money was karma

What a hypocrite Fenton giving those men a hard time because they were cheating on their wives but i had no idea the secret their boss was hiding this show get more interesting more episodes i watch.  . Another great cliffhanger

Surprising how many of the men were married considering it was a gay bar but hitting on Fenton was amusing and know wonder Inspector Briggs wanted it brushed under the carpet but Chief Constable Coulson giving Gina a hard time is frustrating and what a price Rosie paid for helping the other girl

Well after Rosie's body was found the connection to Sidney was bound to come out but who would thought real killer Rosie was Gina new boyfriend and Gina is really is tough spot and i was hoping Nightgale would help her out prove it her allegation but having Tommy pretend he didn't see what happened was sad.

Rosie's autopsy revealing she was pregnant was a surprise considering where she worked and Sidney wiping his prints was bound to do more harm than good, John checking up on Susie's new boyfriend was interesting as he's obviously up to no good and Coulson sexual attack on Gina was sickening

i didn't think it would get any worse for Gina from first season but this getting really bad and actress is doing fantastic job in those scenes.

i don't think he will since he get intimated very easily , what we need is for Nightingale to see it because she is only one who would back Gina up . The only other person that stop this is Briggs

Well nice conclusion for the series and Sidney proved he still a great cop after getting shot protecting Rebecca and look like you were right about Tommy he manned up

Sidney doing his own investigation while off duty was understandable after Rosie was killed but saving the witness was great and what a shame Tommy was responsible for the boys getting the cane and Tommy stepping up was great but allowing him to retire without a fuss was sad

I thought Arthur had retired so seeing him give the awards in the beauty contest was a little sickening considering what he did to Gina and Annie standing up to Fenton was surprising

Annie's conflict with her father was understandable as her involvement in the murder case results in her fathers friend being arrested and Fenton letting him take a beating because he was scared was sickening but Susie continues to anger Swift was amusing

Arthur following Walter was unfortunate as Walter has lost the upper hand over what happened with Gina and poor Susie getting locked out before her date with Swift but Annie and Tommy trying to play cupid was nice

I'm surprised Charlotte took her husband back at first after he got arrested for being with another man but what a shame he missed Arthur with the bottle and Charlotte asking him to leave after trying to attack Arthur was understandable but him killing himself was tragic

Susie shaming the officers to attend Walter's funeral against Arthur's decision was great and glad they put a stop to the Petra Project but everyone snubbing Arthur invite for a drink was karma and Swift proposing to Susie was nice

Annie seem more confident than Gina but it's nice that they still female WPC. The other storyline were really interesting wife making her husband go to doctor because he didn't perform but finding out he was gay was a surprise .

Annie not telling her dad the prime suspect is a friend and asking the secretary for advice in bedroom was amusing. Pru getting played by theif was sad because she thought he would take her with her. . About time he finally asked susie out after a years of pining over her

I am still glad they turned up it was nice and susie getting proposed to was great way to end the season . I still can't believe Arthur is now in charge and no-one can stop him
