Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis star in this character-driven 1960's period piece inspired by the true story of Ralph Lamb, a cowboy turned sheriff of Las Vegas, and Johnny Savino, a Chicago mob fixer. In a vast desert with unlimited opportunities, where no man is all good or all bad, Savino's entrepreneurial vision collides with the law-and-order mandate of the sheriff. I really enjoyed the play between the horses and the vehicles.  It's nice that the mayor is on board and backing the Rancher.  Eventually I think the DA will be.  Surprised to see a woman ADA in 1960

He was great but they need more than 1 actor to carry the show

I must say that I found this episode so much better than pilot , I liked how they solved the crime and arrested the bad guys and how they managed to kill the mole by diversion

So much for trying impress the bosses but he was hot head but seem like one big liability for the mob. I like how Lamb arrested him but him wanting Lamb dead was amusing consider he got rejected by the boss man and it seem  Savino argument about keep the sheriff around does make good business decision

Chasing the plane with the horse was an amusing start and taking down the biker was great

I thought the guys that walked out when given the chance were signing their own death warrants and what Ralph said when he returned the Sheriff's chips to Johnny was great, running up the back of the police car so he could get arrested was a little over the top

Johnny was a bit of a hot-head and he got what he deserved after what he did in the private room, how Tommy actually died was sad considering it was his friends medication that probably caused the heart attack

Well with the title like that i had feeling she was related to rich family but finding out her brother killed her was a surprise and you really can't keep expansion a secret but smart thinking purchase other casino for expansion .

Well i had feeling kidnapping wasn't related to the mob and meeting Savino wife was interesting but i was rather disappointed they didn't cast a better actress to play her because she really look like fish out of water.

The hit and run of the African American maid because of her connection to one of the town's most wealthy businessmen was tragic

The dentist who appeared to have been killed because of his gambling chips was interesting but spilling the drink on them was lucky and Holly getting caught after the dentist was killed was lucky because she probably would of been next

Well Savino was rather lucky at the end i knew he wouldn't get killed and i liking that Lamb had provide protective custody for him but they do make a good team taking down the hitman.

The hit-man saying he's a wholesale butcher was corny but carpet salesman getting past security was crazy considering the Sheriff filling the casino with Deputies which was an interesting way to try and get Savino to talk

I didn't like the Air Force investigator at first but having the ambulance take from them at gunpoint was amusing and getting them to chase him of the base so he could arrest them was smart

What happened to Audrey was tragic as she wasn't the first and that was some bet from Clay but trying to stop him leaving with the money was interesting considering he wanted to spend the night with Rizzo and being scared of the spider was amusing

Well i liked how they shot this episode with them going back and fouth as who kidnap Lamb but it was certainly surprise when we found out who it was because he really no connection apart from taking money to the bank.

Setting the guy on fire was evil and after what they did to Sheriff Lamb they both deserved to die but the way Rizzo spots the cheats is impressive

Mia loosing her job thanks to her dads objection to her dating Jack was crazy and looks like Savino wants to get rid of him because he is nothing but trouble but using Jack as bait is going to be interesting

Discovering the drowning girl was poisoned was a surprise but Dixon sleeping with her after saving her was unprofessional and I cant believe she accidentally poisoned herself, the boy in the back of the car was lucky and how will Mia take it knowing Jack shot her father

The FBI being able to follow the money in the suite case was impressive considering it changed hands a couple of times and I liked the way they got the confession but Jack telling Mia was a surprise

Melinda Clarke playing Mia's mother was a surprise as she was supposed to be dead and the look on Dixon's face when he realised Violet was back with Barry was predictable but glad Dixon made him pay for what he did to Yvonne and they should of known sending Reynolds back would probable get him killed

Finding a dead body in the casino hotel room was bound to happen eventually but trying to get a watch which dead guy stole was more of a challenge but that poor bank teller being left in that ditch . Talk about screwing the wrong people

Katherine having to arrest Dixon after Violet accused him of assaulting her was a surprise and the way Mia got her man on the run was amusing but the trouble the dead guy caused with the missing watch was priceless

Taking Mia hostage for $20,000 was crazy and Ralph getting his own back on the FBI by having their cars towed was amusing and then rescuing Jack by wreaking his truck was impressive, Patrick getting shot by the lady for what he did to her was a surprise

Mia getting taken hostage was eventually going to happen but he had choose a day when everyone in count room was sick. That was just bad timing but Jack trying help was nice

Dixon discovering new details that could reveal the truth behind his mother’s untimely death should be interesting but Katherine having the so called same accident of his mother was a bad move and I must admit I cant see Mia working on a ranch with Jack

Lamb and Savino joining forces to take out Porter Gainsley was a surprise but wanting the guy who killed his wife you can understand why and it didn't take Mia lond to move on from Jack, with no cliffhanger another adequate ending

I was glad they tied up as many lose ends as they could.  If they ended on a cliff hanger that would have been so annoying!  How kewl would it be if AMC picked this period piece up and went with it!!  YAY  that would be great.
