Emily Owens, M.D. Premiered on The CW on October 16, 2012



At long last, Emily Owens feels like she is an actual grown-up. She can finally put her high school days as the geeky-girl-with-flop-sweats behind her; she's graduated from medical school and is now a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital, where she'll have the chance to work with world-famous cardiologist Dr. Gina Beckett - and where, not-so-coincidentally, her med-school crush Will Rider is also an intern. So why does everyone keep warning her that the hospital is just like high school? Emily soon finds out the hard way - her high school nemesis, the gorgeous, popular Cassandra Kopelson, is also just starting out at Denver Memorial, and it seems like they're rivals all over again - not only as surgical interns, but for Will's attention. Fellow intern Tyra Granger warns Emily that the cliques at Denver Memorial are all too familiar: the jocks have become orthopedic surgeons; the mean girls are in plastics; the rebels are in the ER, and Tyra has her own awkward place as the principal's kid - her father is the chief resident. Emily's the new kid all over again, and it's just as awkward as high school. Only this time around, Emily will have to balance the personal and emotional turmoil of social politics with the high-stakes world of life-and-death medical decisions. At least she has fellow intern Tyra and nerdy-but-cute resident Micah, to count on as friends. Emily is growing to realize that although she may be a geek, she may also grow to be a great doctor, flop sweats and all.

I am not really complaining but my youtube channel is filled with them it getting a bit too much for me i just want to get on with it and watch the shows.

I have no problem with you posting promos on here i was making a general opinion that the amount of promo released by tv networks are getting a bit too much. It wasn't directed at you. I should made that clear. Sometimes i forget you can't read my mind   

BTW i watch other fall previews show that were released over the past few days

Well this show reminds me offspring the only difference the doctor is an intern but that was a good save on her but losing her pager and thinking it was someone else when it was another girl was smart. There are some amusing moments in this episodes but she so naive. The speeches that some of the characters make are so over the top.

The sweaty arm pits was amusing but I'm not surprised after saving the girl, it's a good job her mother went for a coffee and Emily day dreaming is very much like Nina from Offspring

I think other girl took her pager and than returned it to her because she wanted to know whether other doctor was available. She just was a little too friendly to be trusted.

Another good episode who would thought this would turn out to be a good show but seriously Emily does seem too sensitive to be a doctor ?. She should told him about voice mail

Well that teenager boy spreading an STD to all girl having no remorse but i liked how the doctor got payback by running the test without him knowing and giving the result in front of his mother was amusing.

Well another nice episode but some good cases i am glad the young arranged guy giving a kidney to his wife after she told him she not sure if she will ever be in love with him was just so sweet and i am guessing she thought it was romantic

I'm surprised the OCD patient had a boyfriend considering she backed off when he approached her and finding out it was a brain tumour was interesting but sad she didn't survive the surgery

Emily going to speak to the group of high school girls about safe sex was interesting but the way they reacted I'm not surprised they have STD's but the girls getting their revenge on him was great

You can understand why the patient refused to accept the kidney from her new husband as she doesn't love him but him still willing to donate was impressive, Cassandra is a bitch and Emily has to up her game to bring her down but those tears did look real

Well Emily having guilt conscience certainly made it hard for her deal with things but seriously i can't believe she made it through medical school with all inside monologue how was she able to concentrate on her patient let alone try to help them?

Well this was great episode finally a few things to discuss the first of which her evaluation of her boss was rather honest but it's a good thing she has friends like that. Just when she thought she had everything under control something came up and makes situation worse. I tried to hate this show but it's really growing on me . So glad she finally came out to her dad that was ridiculous storyline but finding he cheated on her mum was what she needed to tell him so at least she doesn't have hide it.

The fake penis making Emily the laughing stock of the hospital was funny and what a time to find out that the teenage patient needing a partial liver transplant father is not the biological father

Emily being caught between Tyra and her dads secrets was unfortunate but Tyra letting Cassandra know the truth was perfect payback and what a tough call for the baby with both sex organs but the father wanting the more dangerous surgery to keep him as a boy was interesting but changing his name to a unisex name was a good idea

Will and Emily being assigned to a help the sick prisoner was interesting but I was surprised that the guard said he raped four women and left the last one for dead, throwing Manuel's medical records away was great

What an intense episode with teenage girl with pole going through her body and other patient with cancer in her jaw . This wasn't as light hearted as most other episode but still it was good to see them a more serious episode

Being more worried about her looks than the cancer in her jaw was interesting and the female car accident victim was lucky to be alive but the driver being sick before the accident was sad as he had no idea

I cant believe Emily would even consider going on a blind date with Cassandra's friend but having a nut allergy was amusing as it was the kiss that did it and the daughter suing the hospital after her mother died was sad considering they argued about lipstick

Emily being determined to solve the medical mystery about young patient having a bullet lodged in his lung after the x-rays revealed it but with no bullet hole I was also interested in how it happened, Emily laughing when Will was cut from the selection was amusing

I knew that mother was too good to be true you could tell she was overcompensating but i agree it had me going also but i was close since i figured out it had something to do with the mother just couldn't figure it out until Emily saw the scare.

I had thought about it but reasoned that if the mother had been shot then the bullet would still have had an entry would into the baby, some way. But it was clever how they said that the womb is tough and can regenerate the tissue of the baby so you'd never see the entry wound.

It was clever. Not sure how true it is though, lol!

Emily doing an emergency skull procedure on the Marine who suddenly collapses was impressive and also treating the guide dog until a vet got there was nice but tragic the girl wanting to be a surgeon lost her arm

Micah's sister lying about being pregnant to give their mother the will to try the experimental treatment was interesting and Will misdiagnosing his patient because he was distracted with Cassandra's strictly professional behaviour was tragic
