Beauty and the Beast (2012) Premiered on The CW on October 11, 2012



Detective Catherine Chandler is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective. When she was a teenager, Catherine witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen. Catherine would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. No one has ever believed her, but she knows it wasn't an animal that attacked the assassins…it was human. Years have passed, and Catherine is a strong, confident, capable police officer, working alongside her equally talented partner, Tess. While investigating a murder, Catherine discovers a clue that leads her to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller, who was reportedly killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Catherine learns that Vincent is actually still alive and that it was he who saved her many years before. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years to guard his secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Catherine agrees to protect his identity in return for any insight he may have into her mother's murder. Thus begins a complex relationship between Catherine and Vincent, who are powerfully drawn to each other yet understand that their connection is extremely dangerous for both of them.

This has promise but i feel this series is doomed because it has same type feel as most cancelled show. I really hope i am wrong but this friendship between them two is what should make this series watch able but i don't know i just feel feel any chemistry between the actors.

Well finding out Catherine mother was part of experiment came as no surprise but i don't think he's cured i think it's just temporary fix.

well yeah, in his memory he saw her say she doesn't have a cure yet, so it's definately not a cure. Otherwise the series would be over. But maybe it stops the blackouts for a while.
I'm wondering how they are going to get a cure without her mom though.

Nice role change for Catherine from assistant district attorney in the original to detective in this but Vincent not being the beast he looked like in the original was disappointing and that's as much as I can remember of the original show and will probable watch at some time, as for what happened on the platform and to her mother nine years ago, I hope we find out why she was killed and why they want her dead

I'm not surprised J.T. is worried that Cat's visits to the warehouse will leave Vincent vulnerable but the way she is pushing him for information she is putting them both in danger especially running facial recognition

Vincent dropping the 19-year old boy at hospital after reviving him was different and throwing the ball in for Cat was amusing but Silverfox grabbing Cat off the street is going to make contacting Vincent more dangerous, Vincent handing himself in to Silverfox and his Murifield agents was a surprise

You knew Vincent preventing the robbery had the chance of being captured on the convenience store surveillance video but being in the paper was unfortunate and the missing bride-to-be leaving her engagement rind would look like she had just left him but with no sign she existed in their apartment was suspicious and Evan kissing Cat I seen coming but him also having a partner will make thing awkward

That green bridesmaid's dress was horrendous but the comment was amusing and catching her future mother-in-law with another man was interesting as her dad knew but using an art gallery as a front for an escort agency was different

Vincent's blackout periods getting more regular would be worrying especially with the compass murder but J.T. having to tranquillise him was interesting as he was sure he would never hurt him and Evan being kidnapped by Peter his new intern was a surprise but the rescue is going to be hard to explain

JT putting 2 & 2 together and figuring out that Catherine was the trigger to Vincent's blackouts was great and it was obvious her mother was killed because of what they did to Vincent, getting Evan out the lab so JT could use it was amusing as he was almost caught by Tess

Cat reluctantly admiting that she's seeing somebody to the girls was interesting but I thought she would say Evan not Vincent, her sister asking Evan to the wedding was a surprise but JT offering to standing in for Vincent at the wedding was amusing as Evan is on to him and great cliffhanger for the mid season break

So Vincent has new ability night vision which certainly came in handy but i like that things are more complicated with Catherine since even in above promo she says she can't compete with her. I am wondering whether she will find out about Vincent secret    . That was great cover story he made for Catherine

You can understand why Catherine first thought Vincent was the one who saved her but good job Evan came when he did and being recognised by Alex could make things awkward but he should of told Cat she was his former fiancée, what a moron shooting out the lights and J.T. getting a surprising visitor from Evan should be interesting

Well it was nice Catherine actually lose it open up all her emotions but Vincent was rather careless at the ice rink and he really should be careful . It look he taking too many risk . The other women doesn't even know his secret and he's thinking of running off with her ?.

Yes i have a feeling that will happen in a future episode why else introduce her character on the show , we both watch enough tv shows to know what will happen that her character is very temporary just cause a bit tension between Catherine and Vincent.

Best twist would be if she working for them   . Just look at Evan's girlfriend i didn't know she was a spy for Merfield

Well so much for Catherine trying quit Vincent she did end up saving him but at the cost of him revealing his secret to Alex who really ended upset which was surprising since she did say before she found out she didn't care. prove women are really superficial .

I mean, ye, it's a bit superficial, but on the other hand, she really had no idea what she was talking about...
She thought it was 'normal' danger..
I know that she should look deeper and not judge him, but in that moment, I think it's normal to react that way.
We'll see how it continues.. if she sells him out to the cops or muirfield, then she's wrong, but I think right now, it just proofs not everyone can handle Vincents condition.

It's a good job Cat interrupt Vincent romantic cabin getaway with Alex but her going into the woods and seeing everything is bound to put all their lives in danger because after finding the bug in her place we know they are watching her

Alex going to see the journalist after being warned how dangerous Muirfield are was bound to get someone else killed and how embarrassing being the centre of attention it the street dance but the gesture was nice, Evan finding out about Claire is going to be interesting

Well it really was bad idea to leave her with Vincent but at least he let her go but trying explain it was rather tricky but i love that he shot her with tranck gun. At least he seem know what to do. A very disappointing start to the second season change Vincent into a killer was awful .
