The Mob Doctor Premiered on FOX on September 17, 2012



For most physicians, the Hippocratic oath is sacred. But for one Chicago doctor, who is indebted to the mafia, saving lives isn't her only concern. THE MOB DOCTOR is a fast-paced medical drama featuring a brilliant young female cardiothoracic surgeon who is split between two distinct worlds as she juggles her promising medical career with her lifelong debt as a doctor to Chicago's Southside mob.

DR. GRACE DEVLIN (Jordana Spiro, " My Boys") is a top resident at Chicago's Roosevelt Medical Center. Smart and self-assured, she's heralded as one of the country's most promising young surgeons. But family ties keep her glued to her Southside roots. To pay off her brother's life-threatening gambling debt, she makes a deal with the devil and agrees to work " off book" for the mafia men she once despised.

The premier date is wrong as the show has been given a Monday slot behind Bones and Sundays for Fox are animated shows.

This has just been added and not a bad opening episode i am glad she made the right call but finding out it was plan from her uncle was surprise ending and knowing he responsible for her dad death was a nice surprise.

So you thiknk the new boss is her uncle?  Did I miss that somewhere?

I liked to know it was her father, and that he was a bad guy and the "boss" did it and protected her.  I can't understand why she wouldn't want to take the deal but then there wouldn't be a show!!  

Her boss at the hospital is going to be a problem!

Well the second episode was ok but brother working for him is going to make Grace mad after all she has done for him . I did find putting the dead patient in cupboard rather amusing for some reason but you can see Grace world is certainly going to collapse because eventually she will do something that she can't take back   .

What a bizarre case with the pregnant 14 year old virgin and the doctors arrogance costing the 8 year old his life was tragic but the way she got Dr. White to investigate it was great, dropping the syringe was the only way out without killing him, that was some temper Paul had before he was killed by Constantine

Piggy backing on the dead guy to run the tests was risky but how long will the receptionist help before she starts asking awkward questions and has to explain, Nate going to Constantine after Grace saved him from Paul is going to get interesting

Well Grace finding out the person who killed her patient was a cop and that there's a bigger picture with his raid on drug lords but than finding out it was all payback for guy Constantine got arrested. She did the right thing but her family get deeper and deeper into his pocket. Her nurse friend has no idea how much trouble she in. It can't go on forever.

Wow who would thought that his friend being hospital would save his life with spinal fluid coming out of the friend face. Grace giving the mother a plane ticket would made Constantine mad but he seems not to be upset since he got what he wanted and look like now old bad guy is back but what a way for him to come back . I am surprised other mob guy didn't have his daughter protected leaving her to be vulnerable

Well i am glad grace knew where to draw the line but like always she wasn't surprise Constantine found a way to kill him but she really goes beyond to save the patient by morphine her into sleeping   .

Well this something i never seen in my years of watching a hospital show a doctor replace a bullet in dead patient body for the bullet she got shot with. I found it interesting her friend allowed her to do it with her help. She really is a good friend but that's one hell of a frame job Grace did.

Grace giving the babies mother a plane ticket after the emergency hysterectomy was nice and Moretti getting the guy to kill himself to save his daughter was sick

Grace refusing to kill Sara's father in order to get the organ she needs to save her life was predictable but you just knew Constantine would find another way to kill him and after what Sara said about her father I wasn't surprised she didn't want it

I assume that's the first bullet Grace has saved but probable wont be the last and saving Constantine after getting shot was impressive

What a set up at Constantine's warehouse but tragic the two women got caught in the cross fire and using the bullet from Paul gun that shot her was a brilliant way to get those responsible for her death

I had a feeling, in the last episode, that Franco was undercover. And then when he was looking into the car at the two women I just knew. So wasn't a shocker when it came out. So he knows all Grace's dirty secrets and he's a cop. Interesting to see how this will play out!

As a matter of interest, what are the ratings like on this?

Well look like Grace really is caught in the middle but Constantine finding out Grace help his enemy should be intresting. I don't think he will hurt her but she definitely feel something because he has various way of making her suffer and i have feel it's her brother that will pay the price .

It looks like he might be her father, so I think she'll come off with a warning. I wonder if Constantine had something to do with her real fathers death, allthough she said in an earlier episode that the boose did it.
The 'evil' doc is going to pose a problem now Grace is on his radar.

Franco telling Russell to go and see Grace for treatment for a flare-up of his back pain before he got hold of her was risky but the way she went out of her was when he left hospital was impressive

Well finding priest had rabies when he thought he was processed was amusing. Grace helping her brother out but she got surprised when he kill someone in cold blood without caring. Grace ans Franco are now a couple ?

Jumping the gun a little when Brett said exorcism in 2013 when this was obviously filmed and aired 2012, the priest asking for Gods forgiveness was ironic as they were responsible for the woman's death

Grace brother is like leech no matter how hard she tries help him he get himself into all sort of situation but this one with the horse was rather ridiculous. Constino Bomb threat was interesting but defuse it was rather surprising since i didn't know he knew how to do that.

Constantine receiving the champagne bomb was interesting as he now has to find out who wants him dead the most and Grace accidentally jeopardizes the mobster's valuable racehorse was amusing as they were trying to get sperm from it

Well talk about a cliffhanger i had feeling Constantine was hiding something from grace but her being his daughter was a surprise but with both of them gunned down it should be interesting to see how she will find out.

Dead guy sitting up was bizarre but I'm surprised his wife didn't go into labour after being first told he's dead and the sitting up in front of her and Constantine trying to reconnect with his estranged son Luke had some deadly consequence

I was surprised they made it to the hospital alive but her mother's sudden death after being saved was sad and spitting in her mothers killers face was nice but being used by Constantine she should of seen coming and getting her own payback on him was great
