Inspired by the best-selling books from actress/comedian Chelsea Handler, "Are You There, Chelsea?" follows the exploits of the twentysomething Chelsea, an opinionated and unapologetic young woman who lives life to the fullest as a cocktail waitress, friend, daughter, sister and sexually dynamic "advanced drinker.

Chelsea's life revolves around her work at Jerry's Ultimate Sports Bar in New Jersey, where she is surrounded by an eclectic group of friends and co-workers, including Rick, the handsome bartender; Olivia, a fellow cocktail waitress and Chelsea's best friend since childhood; and Todd, the bar back who is always ready with a quick comeback. Chelsea and Olivia have recently moved in with Dee Dee, a sweet and somewhat sheltered young woman who could be considered the polar opposite of Chelsea. And then there's Chelsea's dad, Melvin, a man with a big personality and a big heart… and all too often - a big mouth.

Chelsea Handler has a recurring role as Chelsea's born-again Christian sister, Sloane, a married, conservative new mom who has little in common with her carefree sister.

Episode 1: Pilot (Jan/11/2012)
The episode starts off with party girl Chelsea having a Tequila night drinking the worm, only to get a DUI. Her sister Sloane, who is pregnant with a husband overseas in the military, bails her out and doesn't hesitate to let her feelings known. Rick the boss at Jerry's Ultimate Sport's Bar where Chelsea works had a fling with Chelsea and provides guy perspective. Chelsea finds and apartment close to the Bar with her friend Olivia belonging to a virgin named Dee Dee. Chelsea goes out with a red head and has some funny thoughts. Sloane goes into labor and Chelsea takes video of the event. Chelsea and Sloane's father was also there. They celebrate at the bar

Episode 2: Sloane's Ex (Jan/18/2012)
Chelsea bumps in to Sloane's ex at the bar and she contemplates going out with him. Dee Dee has a problem with lying.

Episode 3: Believe (Jan/25/2012)
Chelsea wants to get Dee Dee a boyfriend and Sloane has a Celibacy Jam at the bar.

Episode 4: Strays (Feb/01/2012)
After sensing hesitation from her fiance about getting married, Nikki asks Chelsea to help her make things work. Chelsea eagerly agrees but ends up changing the course of events. Chelsea picks up a beautiful stray dog and Dee Dee tries to have some private relaxation time. In the end Chelsea helps Nikki realize what is important and finds a new home for her furry friend

Episode 5: The Gynecologist (Feb/08/2012)
Chelsea likes her doctor and goes on a fishing trip to reel him in.

Episode 6: How To Succeed In Business Without Really Crying (Feb/15/2012)
Chelsea goes on a date with a marketing executive to see if she can get Olivia a job where he works.

Episode 7: Dee Dee's Pillow (Feb/22/2012)
Chelsea sets out to find Mario Lopez and Melvin decides to start dating again.

Episode 8: Those Damn Yankee's (Feb/29/2012)
Chelsea hooks up with a baseball player and Nikki and Rick spend more time together.

Episode 9: Fired (Mar/07/2012)
Rick is finally able to convince Jerry to make him manager of the bar. Plus, Nikki tries to get Dee Dee on her cleanse to get rid of negative energy.

Episode 10: The Foodie (Mar/14/2012)
Chelsea's sister Sloane invites the girls out to a dinner to say 'Thank You' for helping her with the baby. Chelsea end up dating the Chef of the 4 star french restaurant named Roberto. Who loves cooking for her. After a while, that's all Chelsea wants.

Episode 11: Boots (Mar/21/2012)
Chelsea plans to buy new boots and Rick enters a drinking competition.

Episode 12: Surprise (Mar/28/2012)
Chelsea helps Sloane prepare for her husbands arrivial from Afghanistan.
