Bomb Girls is a six-part Canadian mini-series, profiles the stories of five women working in a Canadian munitions factory in World War II. They find themselves thrust into a new world, and changed profoundly as they are liberated from their home and social restrictions.

Well this isn't the type of show i watch but there's not much to watch today i gave this one a shot,  Gladas is one hell of a women I don't know whether she was kind or awful accept that guy proposal who was going to war considered she was already engaged and what a way end the episode with fight with her soon be husband. Vera lose part of her skull in the accident was awful glad her boss made sure got whatever she needed to fix the damage was nice.

I can't believe he didn't think before going to Lorna to ask her to help him to tell Edith her husband had died and talk about bad timing for the airman to ask Gladys out but the proposal before their second date was a surprise and typical blokes having a hole into the girls shower, Betty was a bit of a bitch in the ladies talking about Gladys

I just thought she was jealous of Betty being rich and spoilt but i think it's was great of Glady step in when Vera got injured but lipstick kiss on bomb was a nice touch

Well the suggestion box was good idea but those photos were that bad . The fact guy were protected and women were blamed for that bomb but that kiss was not expected

Blaming the women for the misfire was predictable and the jerks in the hospital were cruel considering what happened to her last week

You can understand why Lorna put the newspaper in Marco's locker when she thinks he's responsible for the bomb that exploded but after dinner with his family it looks like she's got it wrong and the way Gladys handled the thief and not saying anything about James cheating on her with the thief was interesting

Yeah she learnt some new about him hopefully that will make her realise more to people than where they are from.

Hazel giving James the clap was ironic but it looks like Gladys will eventually forgive him and you can understand why Gladys didn't want to be the poster girl for the factory when her family still think shes in the office and Betty was a good replacement but the finished news reel was a pack of lies

Well you just knew News Reel would end up putting some lies and no wonder she was upset but this was common practice during the war it gives a different perspective to war

James reaction to Gladys letters was predictable but at leased he now knows what it was like for her when he cheated and it looks like the deal to send the soldiers the contaminated food was going ahead but lets hope he gets a taste of the contaminated food and did Vera help Archie to die with her pills

First of all i must thank VIP for adding this and impressed it played first time so much appreciated

Carol trying her best to warn Gladys's of the unannounced visit from her father was nice but it was a four gone conclusion he would find out but Lorna suspecting she's pregnant was interesting but using the test to get Gladys fired was sad but after her mothers visit I'm not surprised she did it, Kate and Betty i seen coming but Kate's reaction should of been expected with her religious upbringing

PS i hope this gets another season

The news comes a day before the first season finale of the six-part miniseries. Shaw has doubled the order for the second season to 12, which will air at an unknown date and time.

Bomb Girls premiered Wednesday, Jan. 4, to 1.6 million Canadian viewers on Global, and has maintained more than a million viewers in subsequent instalments. It was originally designed to be a TV miniseries, but given the ratings success it was ordered for a second season.

The hour-long period drama follows five women who work in a munitions factory during the Second World War, and stars Meg Tilly, Jodi Balfour, Charlotte Hegele, Ali Liebert, Sebastian Pigott and Lisa Norton.

The series was created by Michael MacLennan and Adrienne Mitchell and is filmed in and around Toronto. Bomb Girls is produced by Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Film Productions.

“With six powerful episodes, Bomb Girls has struck a chord with Canadians and we’re thrilled with the grassroots initiatives and overwhelming support this original series has generated,” Barbara Williams, senior vice-president of content for Shaw Media, said in a release.

“As we work with our production partners at Muse and Back Alley, viewers will have the opportunity to continue the journey with these brave women facing a new reality during this fascinating time in Canadian history.”

Look like Gladys' family is using her job as platform for the company but i am glad she stood up and give credits to her fellow worker. I just knew that the bible salesman father was end up dead and covering the body was smart . It certainly set up second season nicely but eventually that body going to be found .

That close call with factory thinking it was get bombed but realistically i knew that wasn't a possibility because the point of this series is about the bomb factory.

Not the place to be during an air raid but quick thinking about moving the train and poor Gladys being caught between her fund raiser and her father political career

Thinking the body would still be there was a unrealistic but you would of thought it would of been in the paper but the way she handle the police was great and James being drunk with a gun was a bad combination, Vera new guy seems nice I just hope she don't get hurt and Bob sticking by Lorna was a surprise

I loved the comment when Lorna was mincing meat " she would have to buy me a drink " when referring to tongue and Gladys having to drive them to the prison after she got him an hearing would of been nice if they weren't arrested

Eugene was acting like a jerk at diner and the way Vera organised the ladies to pack the bags like a production line was interesting, Betty capturing one of the escaped prisoners was impressive but the reason she helped him was a surprise and turning him afterwards was an even bigger surprise

Eugene prank calling Gladys was cruel but amusing and I'm surprised she went to the beach with him after her accident and then getting caught by the police was priceless

James's mother was a little hard on Gladys at his funeral but you can understand she was grieving and the Corbett's having some good news was nice, the girls catching the real thief was impressive

Gladys was right to be suspicious of the woman asking questions but how she managed to get in the factory was strange as of all the security checks, Betty's big mouth getting herself into trouble was interesting and Kate's determination to get a response from the solider was nice

Lorna talking to the reporter was bound to have consequences but all the girl backing her up was great and who would of thought she would get a pay rise out of it, Kate learning how to be a burlesque dance to get the singing gig was interesting

That was awful prank but it worked to get her attention but ending look like her son is suffering from PTSD. I was surprised there was no racism with new girl i thought some white girl would give her a hard time because of her skin colour.

He should of walked away as soon as he realised what they were doing and you cant call that self defence when they were steeling from him so he was only protecting his goods

Your right but until he got involved he was just a bystander ?

It's not like he was helping them when he realise what they were doing he just stood there it was only when it got out of hand he step in so technically at that point he realised he wasn't innocent any more   . How exactly could he walk away he would got caught so he really couldn't walk away. He was already on probation with that investigator this would made him guilty by association.

It looks like Vera has dropped Gladys in it with Marco as she has been friendly with the head of security but glad Gladys was able to make things right with him, Kate finding out her mother is still alive was a nice surprise for her

Just when things are looking up for Kate with the return of her mother and the wedding but now the police are back on her case about her fathers death which is tragic that her father is ruining her life from the grave

Gladys saying she was kicked out of the service because of insubordination was risky and trust Lorna to try and fix it for her which forced her to tell another lie but going back into the factory undercover was interesting, Gladys was lucky she dropped the pencil which would of killed her but killing her boyfriend instead was karma and a nice farewell to Vera
