The Playboy Club Premieres on NBC on September 19, 2011

It's the early '60s, and the legendary Playboy Club in Chicago is the door to all your fantasies... and the key is the most sought-after status symbol of its time.

Step inside the seductive world of the Bunny, the epitome of beauty and service, and rub shoulders with the decade's biggest mobsters, politicos and entertainers (like Tina Turner and Sammy Davis, Jr.) With all these larger than life ambitions, there are even greater secrets. Like when innocent new Bunny Maureen - who wants to take the world by storm - accidentally kills one of the Windy City's most powerful mafia bosses... and the only person capable of covering it up and protecting her is Nick Dalton, a man who once worked for the mob but is about to run for district attorney. Bunny Alice is married but hiding an explosive personal life while Bunny Janie is running from a past that threatens to catch up with her. It seems everyone has a secret - none more so than Maureen, who may not even be the innocent orphan she appears to be. Thank goodness Hef's Playboy Mansion is open after hours for a little R&R... and burying your past.

From Academy Award-winning Executive Producer Brian Grazer, Executive Producer Chad Hodge (Tru Calling), and Director Alan Taylor (Mad Men) comes a provocative new series about a time and place that challenged the social mores, where a visionary created an empire, and an icon changed American culture.

Maureen was lucky but what a kick with her high heels and it's a good job Nick went to check why it took so long to get the cigarettes

The look on Maureen's face when Clyde Hill's name went up was priceless considering she killed him last week and her explanation for the blood on her costume was only just plausible but Max sending Janie photo in was stupid considering she is hiding from another guy and i don't thing the vanishing cream will help get rid of the key but an interesting place to hide it

Updated: 'The Playboy Club' Canceled; Brian Williams' 'Rock Center' Takes Slot Effective October 31

From the start it was only a question of when, not if, but on the heels of pickups of Up All Night and Whitney and after three week's of woeful ratings capped off by last night's dreadful 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, NBC has cancelled The Playboy Club from the schedule and will replace it with repeats of newcomer Prime Suspect the next three weeks, before Brian Williams news magazine, 'Rock Center' takes the Monday 10pm slot beginning October 31.

The PTC will no doubt claim victory, but regardless The Playboy Club in. Those who had 'The Playboy Club' in the first-to-be canceled poll, we salute you, the wisdom of the crowds had this one correct as 'The Playboy Club' had a comfortable lead over 'Charlies Angels.'

It turns out NBC chief Bob Greenblatt wasn't that patient, but you have to give NBC credit for timing the announcement as the new iPhones were being unveiled.

Carol-Lynne and Billy hiring Doris is going to cause trouble considering she is a reporter and with the headlines in the paper so Maureen is not the only killer in the club
