Person Of Interest Premiered on CBS on September 22, 2011
PERSON OF INTEREST stars Jim Caviezel, Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson and Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson in a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Reese's (Caviezel) special training in covert operations appeals to Finch (Emerson), a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law using Reese's adept skills and Finch's unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the person of interest and stop the crime before it happens. Reese's actions catch the attention of the NYPD, including homicide detective Carter (Henson), and Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a cop who Reese uses to his advantage. With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything. Emmy Award winners J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk ("Lost"), Academy Award nominee Jonathan Nolan ("Memento"), David Semel ("Heroes") and Greg Plageman ("Cold Case") are the executive producers for Warner Bros. Television.

This was a good opening episode, i liked the way John took out the cops before they killed the kid and the woman not being a victim but a perpetrator was a surprise and switching the tape in court was great Author: bala Time: 9-25-2011 11:59 Subject: Reply 4#4 codebreaker's post

Interesting show, This is the kind of show I always liked, each episode dealing with a specific case and at the end, it all is nice and tidy. Don't mind having a subplot in the background that spans. Hopefully it stays like. Neat take on good guy helps a little guy (this time without the little guy knowing.) Author: sanggye Time: 10-1-2011 16:39 Subject: Reply 8#8 kellemanske's post

I like that Reese don't always come out on top and the girl not leaving Finch alone to face the killer was nice but dangerous and the way Reese rammed the car was great but a little surprised he survived the impact Author: bala Time: 10-3-2011 11:55 Subject: Reply 11#11 codebreaker's post

Nah. let's have one show that doesn't go into the romance stuff, besides he is still dealing with his own loss. I like this show, reminds me of the old 80s show called Stingray, (not the kids one) And that worked well having just 1 main character. I like that the whole show deals with figuring out who is going to get killed at that time, no heavy save the world, no romance and so on Author: codebreaker Time: 11-1-2011 04:39 Subject: Reply 30#30 bala's post

No, he said it was so encrypted that it can't be hackable Author: kellemanske Time: 1-15-2012 06:45
I liked the last frame of the episode which might give us more insight into why they split up. The machine started looking at the partner as a possible thread. But I guess the machine is hackable for the partner, cause he knows how the machine works. The whole point of keeping the working of the machine secret was to make sure it wouldn't be abused. And the partner knows how the machine works so theoretically he could abuse it.
But the threat to decrease their payment for the machine was funny :-) Author: codebreaker Time: 1-15-2012 07:04 Subject: Reply 55#55 sanggye's post

Nope, they let everyone believe that the father was the one who designed it because Finch didn't want them to know. But he was the brain behind it. The kid just doesn't know it.
