I actually avoided this because i feel i am little bit too old watch this. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 7-30-2011 06:10
I saw the series premier last night and it is considerably different from the original. Lion-o is more of a teenager. He flee's from thundera after an attack and see's his father killed. Tigra is a "brother" and Cheetara is a mysterious figure who just shows up to help out.
I kinda enjoyed it. I hope they are consistant with the episodes unlike Young Justice. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 7-30-2011 06:11 Subject: Reply 2#2 bala's post
It's more anime than child. It's good for the new kids, but I think the adults will find things they like. If you like cartoons then its okay. It's not like sponge bob or anything. More like, Ben 10, or young Justice. Adult humor spread throughout. Author: codebreaker Time: 7-30-2011 09:50 Subject: Reply 1#1 arksongbird80's post

Embrace your inner child.
I still watch Spongebob and I was watching the original Thundercats when it first came out as a child.
Please tell me they kept Snarf.

This was an okay episode. Lion-o not wanting to take on the cubs was really selfish and juvinile. The fish people was very moby dick and I was glad they worked it out at the end. Getting the oasis and Lion-o figuring out what it takes to lead was good. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 8-13-2011 15:33 Subject: Song of the Petalars
I really enjoyed the petalar people. They were born and lived a whole life in a single day! It was refreshing to see a race so happy to be alive.
What a GREAT entrance, Panthro. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 8-28-2011 13:27 Subject: Journey to the Tower of Omens
I thought the story line would have stretched farther into the season, but they have found the Book of Omen and the entire group is together. Now I guess they figure out what to do with the book and head back to thundera. The season is good. I'm enjoying it. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 9-3-2011 13:06 Subject: Legacy
I am so glad we know where the Eye of Thundera is from. So great to see another story line emerge that will take us into the rest of the season. What a wonderful flash back. Author: arksongbird80 Time: 9-10-2011 15:29 Subject: The Duelist and the Drifter
This episode was great showing that liono had to learn fighting isn't all about strength. I was getting use to each episode moving along faster though. This one was a filler. No addition to the story line... Still good though Author: gabsimom Time: 9-10-2011 20:41

The good stuff never last. I've never seen the original Thundercats - but I watched this version a few days ago and absolutely I loved it. The show got cancelled just when it was getting good, and for a cartoon the ratings were decent enough.
