Season 1 Synopsis:
Orphaned at the age of three and harboring a traumatic secret, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was adopted by a Miami police officer who recognized his homicidal tendencies and taught him to channel his gruesome passion for human dissection in a "constructive" way—by killing only heinous criminals (such as child molesters, mob assassins, and serial killers of the innocent) who have slipped through the justice system. To satisfy his interest in blood and to facilitate his own crimes, Dexter works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami police. Although his drive to kill is unflinching, he is easily able to emulate normal emotions and keep up his appearance as a socially-responsible human being. He is well-liked by most of his colleagues, his girlfriend, and her children.

This is a Showtime original show so I do not think it is available elsewhere. I am sure you can find it on the web someplace else. However the quality and service is not as good. only websites i know itunes which you have pay unlike this site where it's absolutely free for time-being take advantage of it while you can-i'm trying watch rescue me-finished season 1.

dexter is only 10 episode if you watch 2 a day by friday night you will be finish.

iTunes....Europe....noooooooo....I know back in January they were talking about allowing iTunes Video in the UK but not sure what came of that. Plus if they use their regular pricing (as most companies that branch into European markets do) each episode would be £1.99 which is equivilant to $4 per episode.....no thanks.

But back to the show! I called the Ice truck Killer early on- as soon as I knew what his profession was. The whole season was excellent and I really can't wait for the next season.

the second season ain't bad i enjoyed the first 2 episodes of season 2 personally i found second episode better than the first.

I work in the state mental hospital so I see people who have this sort of sociopathic behavior everyday.  I am finding the character 'most intriguing'.  And I like how they made his character.

You could of course watch it on tv-video.net.  That is still free and you could then see if it was something you wanted to use your VIP points on.  If it doesnt play well at first try viewing at different times in the day to find the less busy times.  

I've just about "warmed" to this show.  You could enjoy it.

I had to scroll down fast because I'm only on the 2nd episode and I don't want to know who the Ice killer is.
Wow this show is amazing.  Who thinks these things up?  The writer is twisted but it really works.  He makes you sympathize and really like a serial killer.  
When I was told to start watching this show I was not really sure and then within the first few minutes of the first episode I was hooked.
does anyone think that Michael(dexter) looks so much different in this role.  I can't pinpoint what it is. Maybe the way he holds his eyes?  I don't know but its weird.
After I finish the rest of the first season I'll come back on this thread and discuss with you guys.

Like you, it took me a couple of episodes to get into this show.  I found I enjoyed it despite the premise of the show.  I am now looking forward to the next season.  I wont spoil things for you though, I'll wait till you've caught us all up so we can chat.

I love this show. You really appreciate the writers & producers & of course, the actors for such a good show. It's like the gourmet of television - so delicious!

Haven't read the books but am a big fan of Michael C Hall from role on 6 feet under. Great show..original concept and really well written. Looking forward to Season 2.

I havent read the books either but I do like this show, sometimes I think against my better judgement, the subject matter being what it is.

I'm so excited for this show to be back on the air and it appears now that dexter has his own code and stop following harry code which get him into a little bit of trouble in the first episode but it's still good. i can't wait to see if they can catch him this season .

great start for what it seems to be a great season . season 2s final wasnt really great so i was a bit concerned but this episode make those doubts dissapear first of all it is great seing dex breaking the code and having to deal with it

]This is getting ridiculous dexter used to be so good to watch and this season has been disappointing apart from the first 2 episode rest of the reason is a disappointment. Miguel who is suppose to be the good guy is turning out to a bad guy , i can't believe he has asked Dexter to kill her she hasn't done anything wrong but like he said it's personal. Than that other woman asked dexter to kill her because she dying and I'm glad he sticking to this rules. Dexter has decide who his friends are but Miguel is only one that knows dexter secret and doesn't have a problem with it. i just feel he going to get killed . Deb getting too close to that guy it's going hurt her when he eventually get killed.

what.i think this show is getting better and better.i think the season started slow but got realy well.it seems you prefer a more simple show.the miguel wanting that women dead is pure psycology.he got the taste of justice that can be assured so he was careless and wanted to get a person that is causing him frustration.its like giving a kid candy,hell want more and in bigger doses.this show has been  put alot of thaught to. its not as simple as one tree hill or the o.c.

Well the problem i have is that i enjoyed the first 2 season as episode were always keeping me guessing but this season just seem like dexter make a friend and we are going to see what type of monster Miguel is going become it's clear last episode he has no code he want kill because he enjoys it but does anyone think end of season dexter is going to kill Miguel because he become out of control. i perfer a complicated show that keep me guessing but i manage to guess most of things that happen this season. nothing has surprised unlike the last season.

i liked the new episode dexter finding out Miguel lied to him and now he needs to do something i like how he was trying teach him a lesson but the problem Miguel is out of control he has no remorse over killing that lawyer and now dexter needs to do something about it. i can't wait to see what happens but your right this show is education-i know now where to get rid of a body .

this season hasn't disappointed me.  The ending to season two was a great disappointment - there were so many things that didn't add up and it simply ended all wrong.  It was very easy to guess the outcome last season.  This one is cracking up to be almost as good as season one though.. so hoping it will be less predictable.  Have known since Dexter met miguel that Dexter will kill him though - even though he still hasn't I know this will happen.  I hope there is more to the season final than that.

Well dexter doesn't disappoint i forgot how graphic the violence on this show is but wow it's worth the wait but dexter is losing his touch . I'm not going tell you what happen but i discuss it without revealing anything but i like  the surprise relationship i figured they had chemistry but i never thought they would act on it but comic relief was funny in elevator. it leaves you wanting more i can't wait few more weeks for next episode . What a clif-hanger

In the first episode from what i remember he bagged up the body parts and we saw him put one in the car and it looked like it was a tight fit. When he remembered were he put the body it wasn't bagged up

Well this great episode dexter almost meet his match with cop i mean that first time a victim went after dexter and she did very good job at trying shake him up. The ending with deb was so unexpected .

good episode Rita finding out about dexter apartment and it look like she doesn't trust him but ending with the trinity killer came up with a surprise he has a family and look like more to him that meets the eye.

I always think it is funny when Dexter asks for advice from his victims? So was Trinity obsessed with his sister and then killed her or do you think his father was molesting her and killed her and trinity saw? or something else?

Well trinity family is so scared of him and i can't believe his daughter actually made a pass at dexter she really is disturbed. . Wow Rita got some explaining to do let see if she tells dexter or not?.  this was interesting thanksgiving episode
