Former neurosurgeon Megan Hunt, brings a unique and refreshing crime solving perspective to her new job as Medical Examiner and finds herself at odds with just about everyone she runs into. In addition to starting a new career, Megan must also rebuild her relationship with her family which she has neglected for her career.

Unfortunately tvrage have made a few mistakes in the past but i do like the layout and i use the weekly schedule which includes yesterday which is a great feature

Body of Proof is an upcoming American medical drama television series. Starring Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan, it was to premiere on Friday nights on ABC on October 22, 2010.[1] However with the failure of Thursday night drama My Generation and the current struggles of The Whole Truth on Wednesday evenings, the network is currently holding back the series in order to launch it on a better evening

Now i am bit annoyed first they postpone it for 1 month now it look like they planning to hold back until 2011. - I understand the reason but at same time if this show fails next year they can't blame us.

ABC's new series Body Of Proof will air in some European countries before the US.

The show stars Dana Delany as a neurosurgeon who becomes a medical examiner after a car accident.

The Walt Disney Company has now announced that the series will premiere in Italy, Spain and Hungary from January and February. The programme will then launch in the US later in the season.

Other early international launches are also expected, although details of which countries will be involved have not yet been revealed.

Catherine Powell from The Walt Disney Company said: "Body Of Proof has generated buzz from the pilot stage and, in response to client demand, we're pleased to be bringing it to international viewers so early."

The crime channel Alibi has picked up Body Of Proof in the UK but it is not yet known when it will air.

I was in Italy last year, most of the films and series are dubbed there. In almost every west-european country they dub, it's a real shame! In Belgium, they just put subtitles and it really helps to learn English faster etc and it helps if you go to another country for quite a while you can still watch tv... I hope some of the countries will stop dubbing cause it really doesn't look good, you see the lips of the actors speaking english but the text is in French. It just isn't right.

Finally get a chance to watch this series and i have to say it wasn't a bad first episode and it will take time to get into the show but finding out who killed the jogger was a twist. She kind of reminds me female version of House

I really liked the pilot.
You're right about the female version of House, but I think that she's also different in a lot of ways.
The flashback to the accident was nice for us to understand what happened
and it looks like Peter really wants to help her.
I already dislike her Ex because he lied to their daughter about her mother not being able to make it
but the kid is smart and I loved the cake at the end.
Also a nice twist with the killing.

Well we don't know story with the EX we have no idea what type of mother she was and you can't portray him as bad guy from 1 episode.

Maybe not, but for as far as I can tell, she wasn't a great mother because she was never around. She let her carrier come before her family, which is basicly why she lost her husband and child. It doesn't look like she was abusive, a really bad parent other then not being there, ... So her Ex should be happy that she is trying to reconnect with their daughter and give their daughter a chance to get to know her mother, eventhough it's late. And I know that that can't be easy for him, but by lying, he is only hurting his own child more which can't be the intention.
I understand why he doesn't want her to get to know her daughter, he thinks it's too late and all and he doesn't want his daughter to get hurt. But the kid is 15, she can deside for herself.
btw: I didn't mean he was a bad guy, I'm just saying that it was not the right thing to do. He could at least have told the kid the truth. And I don't like that he made it look like she was the bad guy cause she was really trying.

I get what your saying it just until we know more about the situation i would rather reserve judgement. I do agree that she trying and i think the cake at end kind of shows the daughter wants to reconnect with her mum so whether he likes it or not as you put the choice is hers but not his but he can make it difficult.

As see said you cant kill a dead person and I'm sure knowing how to keep someone alive is a great start to being an ME

Yes i suppose your right she can't kill dead people but the fact she so good after only being an ME for 6 months seem a bit odd.

what's the big difference between an ME and a surgeon?
A surgeon has to know how he can kill a patient and make sure that doesn't happen, but they also have all the other basic anatomic and medical knowledge. The fact that she was a neurosurgeon makes that she knows the effect of the blow to the head.
The microscopy knowledge is also basic for medical students cause they are trained general first and judging on her age being a respected neurosurgeon, she's a fighter so she probably took extra classes and learned very hard.
Also, 6 months is a lot of time to shave up the basics and it's a tvshow so anything is possible. Btw if I'm not mistaking, medical students also learn the basics of autopsy but maybe that's not correct.
(btw who's overthinking it now It's a good storyline.)

You have to know what you can do wrong before you know what you can't do
A surgeon must know how many and which nerves he can cut before someone is paralysed, but he also has to know where the dangerous spots are, where he can't cut without causing a mass bleeder,... And as a general doctor (so before specializing) you have to learn what the symptoms of everything else is, like asfyxia, poison,...
Or at least that's what I'm convinced of I don't know how the educational program in other countries is. Anyway, I guess that in real life you would have to do some courses to get accreditation as an ME. (this is what I found on the internet: Medical examiners are fully trained medical doctors with a specialty in forensic pathology who are licensed to do examinations on corpses.)

I think she's a cross between House and Shawn on Psych.  

Enjoyed the pilot.  Will be interesting to see what happens.  The dad was  a jerk. Lying is never kewl.

Body of Proof debuted last night on ABC, and the prognosis is good. The debut racked up 13.8 million viewers and a 3.0 adult demo rating, thanks in large part to its lead-in Dancing With the Stars.

Well it was too obvious suspect but once his girlfriend confirmed where he was that ruled him out.

Another good episode but it obvious eventually she end up to autopsy on one of her patient. Again with mis direction with suspect who would thought it would be the mother but the cocaine was massive clue.

Megan and her team literally piecing the victim back together was impressive and her daughter wanting to see a dead body was strange but the finished video was beautiful

I really enjoyed this episode and thought they brought a very humanized aspect to the morgue.  I liked it.

This is show is in a bubble for me.  I enjoy the episodes, but if I miss them or never see an episode again I probably wouldn't notice.   I enjoyed this episode.  It was one of the better.  I really like that the Guy detective is out of the picture.  He was annoying.  The twist at the end was especially good and the M.E. and the twin hitting it off was nice.

He needs a hair cut.

It's surprising it took so long to figure out she was electrocuted but leaving the old hair from her locket was her downfall but the other guy slipping her Aspirin was lucky

I was thinking the same about the ex and the boss, but I don't know. At the end, when she dropped her daughter off at the house of her ex, he looked a lot friendlier then at first. So maybe some day they will work things out, it is tv after all

Lacey thinking her parents were getting back together because of the phone calls from her mothers office was amusing and Nikki's mother swapping the pills for over two years was diabolical but i liked the way the mother was arrested at the church and lets hope she gets lots of publicity

This was a cool ep. I like the quick response of the police once they though the neighborhood may be in serious trouble. It is also nice that she is starting to have better connection with her daughter.

Megan's daughter scaring Bud and the banter of who should do as they were told was amusing but she did make a good point about an expert rider falling off her horse and finding out why James killed her was sad considering she was saving a horses and not having an affair

Bud had got out of the wrong side of the bed in this episode and Curtis saying to Ethan about the wrong dummy going over the balcony was amusing but tragic that the family were going to their daughters wedding but end up going to her funeral instead

I loved this episode. With Peter getting his emotions in the way and the commander asking about Megan.
But it turned out ok and I'm glad it wasn't his partner.
