HELLCATS is a coming-of-age story about Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka, "The Roommate," "Bandslam"), a pre-law scholarship student at Lancer University in Memphis, Tennessee. Marti is a hip, edgy townie with working class roots, whose world flips upside down, literally and figuratively, when her scholarship is cancelled and her well-meaning but irresponsible mother, Wanda (Gail O'Grady, "NYPD Blue," "American Dreams") neglects to inform her.

you do realise that spoiled first episode and just because first episode might be good doesn't mean rest of the season will be.

Not a bad first episode but i can't wait to see Marty reaction when her mum turns up at the qualifiers. The problem with this show that most stuff we already seen in cheerleader movies like bring it on. There really need something keep us interested.

you are right about the cheermovies, but there were 4 bring it on movies which kind off shows that there is interest in the cheerleading things

can't wait to see what is going to happen, but if the series looks the least bit like those movies, they will qualify (otherwise the show is already over) but not win (if that is possible).

This was OK for the first episode, what Lewis did to clear the shower for Marti was nice and i am looking forward too see what Marti does when her mother surprises her with a visit

I took time to watch this.  Ashley Tisdale and ?Mickela? are both Disney stars with serious music backgrounds.  It was interesting to see them in something "other" than a disney gig.  I agree with Bala, they will have to do something more interesting than this first epi with the stunts to keep us hooked.   The bring it on movies have set a high standard so I expect the story plot to be the basis of the show.

I look forward to Marti's mom showing up at the competition.  They will win because if they don't the show will end.  All the kids will lose their scholarships.  That was a katty move on Alice's part.  haha.  Going to be fun to watch.  

I'm giving it a shot.  They should add it to VIP though.  That's at the same time as Crim Minds and SVU.  THOSE i won't miss.  Sorry CW.  Should have put it on at 8 then I would be able to.

Well that good thing about internet you can watch it anytime , the second episode wasn't bad but i liked fact this episode focused on Savannah and her family history how they disprove of her joining Lancer.

That was a tough decision for Savannah to stay with the team and not going with her family to pray for Charlotte, Marti's mother may have been loud but she wasn't as bad as i expected

Savannah and Dan really make a good couple and i am glad she is a positive influence on him. . The song by Marty was good i thought she was a rock-and roll singer?.

Aly and Aj ( her sister) got their start with disney, but they are primarily acoustic musicians not rock and roll per say.

Savannah taking Dan to her parent's house for dinner was amusing but was glad that she stood up for herself and going exclusive with Dan was nice

Well this episode just felt rather odd to watch because it was all over the place i mean Marti trying to become a lawyer is one thing but seriously there is no way a law college student get to practice law without a teacher yet she was able visit the guy in jail and act like his lawyer.

The Bid video just was a bit crazy after all of that are we seriously believe put together that routine in less than 3 minutes ? Even guy who sprang his angle amazing recovered

I realise i am watch a tv show but there so much you willing put up with.

I agree Bala.  I was unimpressed with this episode.  The side story with the Hellcats coach/boyfriend/FB coach is just boring.  Blah.

They are going to vote savannah out because she dared to think outside the box.  They are 20 something, why wouldn't they want flashy.  Hmmm   OH and how could they afford a plane ticket hours before departure.  That stuff is expensive.  It's not like they have jobs.  

I enjoyed the music at the end.  The prison scene was just not believable on any level.  He can't have the guitar in his cell, but alone in a room with a 20 yr old is okay???  hmmm  

Still like the show tho.

It's a shame that they couldn't get their happy faces on when they were trying to do the video under the overpass because i think it would of looked great but when it mattered they pulled together and i was happy with the vote result

Nice episode where we found out why lewis quit football but not winning the bid video has they place 16th was awful ending. Hellcats return in 2 week so no episode next week.

The Hellcats date auction was a nice was to raise money but Vanessa worrying about her mystery date was funny and Savanna giving her mother the chance to talk was nice

I thought alice was great in this episode.  DIdn't like the coach being all in her face   and Jake should have stuck up for her.  Glad she rocked the reporter!!  Good for her.

I'm not sure why the coach was singing but she was pretty good. I would have rather had Marty rock it.  Ehh...

the laptop theft was good.  NIce drama.

I liked this episode but the best was the special guest's who were both from Stategate!!  Awesome!!!!!

that was nice of Savannah!  She's a giver.  and I don't think that what marty and dan did was so bad.  It was none of S's business what happened 5-6 yrs ago.  They didn't lie but they did leave out the truth by omission.

Okay I think Bala you are talking about the "needing Space" convo.  I don't think this confirms they slept together but I *DO* think it confirms that Dan has feelings for Marty and to be fair to Savannah he's backing away from her.  I think the car episode merely escaladed an idea planted by marty's mother a couple episodes ago.  Kissing and adding chemistry have hightened what was.  

But I still don't think they went all the way...

What Savannah did for her sister was nice and being furious with Marti for keeping a secret about Dan was crazy because of how long ago it happened but lets hope she don't find out what happened on the stake out

That was one hell of a marriage proposal but at the same time i think it's trying follow Glee dance routine which is nice but it need depend on it's own strength and notice there was no Cheering leading routine in this episode since there are only couple of week away from the competition shouldn't they be practising ?. While I appreciate the drama it need to balance this out with what the show is all about.

Great episode, loved the proposal routine. Derrick has some moves. I saw the promo last week and knew the dance at the start was a dream sequence but I did fall for Red and Vanessa at the end. I thought that was real.  

I'm glad Dan broke up with Savannah. If his heart wasn't in it, then it really wasn't fair.

I did like the way Alice eventually got her revenge back on Damian for what he did, Derrick's proposal routine was impressive and Dan did the right thing when he broke up with Savannah

Lewis pretending that Marti was talking in her sleep was amusing and the couch is a nasty piece of work, Savannah giving Marti the wining cheque for her computer was nice and them Marti saving Savannah was also nice but it's just a shame she ruined it

I am sharing my own experience about this show.


I really like this show and can't understand why there are so many haters of it.like my friends. I don't know why they hate this show. When i asked the reason they they told me that they have listened that its not interesting TV show.  Then i showed some episodes of  this show and then they got amazed and said wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alice and Marti's one on one face off for the flier position was great but after Alice lost she resorted to blackmailing Savannah into giving up her spot just to impress her father who didn't turn up and the pillow fight was amusing

Yes this was nice episode and pillow fight was amusing but you felt bad for Alice she did everything she could to be a Flyer to impress her dad and only his girlfriend turned up but she seems to given her the right advice

What unfortunate timing for the Hellcats to kidnap Marti for her initiation into the group with her having the DVD she is in danger and the suicide drop was amazing but Travis's beating may have put the nail in all their coffins

Well finding out who the father of baby was amusing savanna trying to figure sort the mess out turned into surprise for her when mother actually thank her for sorting it out which surprises her. The band leader making them try-out so they can use their song turned disaster because both routines were fantastic shame he wasn't paying attention . I hope Marty does find her dad out.

I'm not surprised Marti's mother told her the story about her father in the early days considering what happened when she found her but she had plenty of time to tell her the truth when she could understand and the Zombie film was ridiculous but amusing
