About the Show:
New family-based sitcom set in the capital of British Pakistan - Sparkhill, Birmingham. Citizen Khan follows the trials and tribulations of loud-mouthed, tight-fisted, self-appointed community leader Mr Khan and his long suffering family, wife Mrs Khan and daughters Shazia and Alia.

Season 1



Episode 1: (Aug/27/2012)
Plans are underway for Shazia's forthcoming wedding to her fiancé Amjad. Mrs Khan is not happy because Mr Khan has forgotten to book the wedding venue.

Episode 2: (Sep/03/2012)
Mrs Khan’s mother has come for a visit but Mr Khan’s big opportunity to hobnob with the bigwigs of the Sparkhill Business Association is threatened after he has to take her on a shopping trip.

Episode 3: (Sep/10/2012)
Mrs Khan wants to go on holiday but a holiday is costly and there's also Shazia’s honeymoon to pay for. Mr Khan is reluctant to spend the 'rainy day' money he has saved.

Episode 4: (Sep/17/2012)
Mr Khan wants to to be the impresario behind the new call to prayer at the Sparkhill mosque and decides to hold his own X Factor style auditions. Family duty calls after he's asked to sort out future son-in-law Amjad’s job promotion.

Episode 5: (Sep/24/2012)
Mr Khan’s new plasma television manages to provide the perfect opportunity to have his friends round to enjoy the Pakistan versus England cricket match. Mrs Khan needs the house though to be a place of complete calm as she plans to host a prayer meeting for her recently widowed friend.

Episode 6: (Oct/01/2012)
The Khan family have a spare invite for the wedding. Mr Khan believes that its important to invite only influential people like Councillor Javed. After Mrs Khan suggests inviting the Parvez family to the wedding, Mr Khan has an important decision to make.

Season 2



Episode 1: Alia’s College (Oct/04/2013)
Mr Khan’s day off is interrupted after Alia fails her exams, prompting Mrs Khan to lay down the law. Shazia invites Debbie round for dinner with the intention of asking her to be chief bridesmaid at her wedding.

Episode 2: Naani's Day Out (Oct/11/2013)
Mr Khan is getting ready to the mosque manager, whom he expects will finally offer him a place on the mosque committee. Naani, Mr Khan’s mother-in-law, is also paying a visit from Pakistan. Mrs Khan is worried about her and tells her husband that until Naani perks up a bit, she’ll be staying with them indefinitely.

Episode 3: Amjad’s Health Check (Oct/18/2013)
Mr Khan wants to talk to the local MP who is due to endorse the mosque’s ‘mobile men’s health check’ unit. He decides to take along his future son-in-law Amjad to be a guinea pig. Mrs Khan and the girls are out looking for baby clothes for a friend’s new baby.

Episode 4: Fasting (Oct/25/2013)
The Imam at the call mosque decides that it is time for a special fast and Mr Khan uses it to compete with Dave, the mosque manager. Alia has a foreign exchange student staying whilst Shazia announces that she’s been offered a job opportunity in India.

Episode 5: Shazia's Gym Visit (Nov/01/2013)
Shazia and Amjad have managed to secure a trial day at an exclusive gym. Mrs Khan wants to attend the bums and tums class but Mr Khan is not impressed. He’s more interested in trying to find a famous Pakistani cricketer to run this year’s Eid tombola at the local mosque.

Episode 6: The Makeover (Nov/08/2013)
Mrs Khan decides to have a makeover but Mr Khan is not impressed as new dresses cost money.

Season 3



Episode 1: Naani's Return (Oct/31/2014)
The family arrive home from a trip to Pakistan, with Mr Khan's mother-in-law in tow. Everyone is shocked when she announces she wants to move into a care home. So a lady from the local care home turns up to the house. Mr Khan is all up for the idea until he finds out how much his mother-in-law is worth.

Episode 2: The In-Laws (Nov/07/2014)
With Shazia and Amjad's wedding fast approaching, Mr and Mrs Khan decide to invite the Malik's over for a dinner party. Khan sees Malik as his fast track onto the local business committee, so they pull out all the stops to impress their guests. However when Mr Khan receives a unexpected phone-call, the future that the two families have sits on a knife-edge.

Episode 3: Aunty Noor (Nov/21/2014)
Mrs Khan takes on more shifts at work, leaving Mr Khan in charge of things at home. He enforces some new strict rules and sends Alia to a London Mosque for work experience. When Noor comes home with Alia, she threatens to reveal Mr Khan's abuse of the supermarket staff discount card.

Episode 4: Farmer Khan (Nov/28/2014)
Mrs Khan decides to run a stall at the city farm promoting the supermarket's new organic range. Mr Khan isn't interested though as he's the only one not to receive a invite to Prince Charles Royal Reception in Birmingham. However when he learns HRH may be dropping by the farm first, he decides to attend hoping to get a personal invite, but first he has to get past Marina Fairchild, the head of the welcoming committee.

Episode 5: Stags and Hens (Dec/05/2014)
Shazia is looking forward to having some fun with her friends on her hen do but she ends up with a few extra guests in tow. Mr Khan reluctantly agrees to organise Amjad’s stag do and manages to involve an Imam returning from missionary work.

Episode 6: The Wedding (Dec/12/2014)
It is the day of the wedding but not everything is well in the Khan household. Mrs Khan is still feeling upset that Shazia has decided on a British-Asian fusion affair, rather than a traditional Pakistani wedding. Shazia also refuses to allow her to help with the organization. After Shazia refuses to wear a matriarchal family heirloom, it all gets too much and Mrs Khan refuses to go to the wedding.
